Bamboo Forest Manager - Chapter 76
76 – 76. Filming**
Even though Seo Yerim had found out the source of the hat Choi Iseo was wearing, the lecture continued anyway.
In between, Seo Yerim would subtly smile as if she was flirting, but it felt more like a warning than a simple enticement, which was a bit scary.
After the lecture, it was lunchtime.
Normally, I would have had lunch with Seo Yerim and Choi Iseo.
But today was different.
The group project team members were sitting at the same table.
There were fewer of them than when we first met, but they had all gathered anyway.
“Is everyone here? Are we just going to have pork belly?”
The menu was pork belly, but I didn’t choose it. The head of the department did.
I should call her Joohee sunbae. Her judgment in choosing lunch menus is excellent.
“As I said in the group chat, we’re starting filming today. Let’s finish filming and editing by next week.”
We had two weeks to film.
Even though making a short film was a bit of a hassle, there was something secretly interesting about it.
We were writing the screenplay and acting ourselves.
“I’ve uploaded the screenplay, roles, and script to the chat. Has everyone seen it?”
Joohee sunbae glanced around. Everyone nodded without saying much, so Joohee sunbae sighed in relief.
I wonder what would have happened if someone had said they hadn’t seen it.
“Some of you will start filming right after lunch, and some of you will have to leave for lectures. But we’ll definitely meet in the evening. Most of our scenes are at night.”
It was a mixed-genre film, part melodrama and part horror, so there were a lot of night scenes.
“Han Kang was supposed to be the lead, but he dropped out, so Hyunho will do it instead.”
Ahn Hyunho scratched the back of his head while smiling awkwardly. Most people would be burdened if they were the lead, but Ahn Hyunho didn’t seem to mind.
“Yerim will be the girl lead. And these two will be the replacements for the second-year girls who dropped out of the group project.”
Joohee sunbae pointed to Choi Iseo and Yoo Arin, who were sitting in the corner.
“They agreed to help. I told the professor about the second-year girls who dropped out.”
Judging by her satisfied expression, it seemed like the three second-year girls had been properly reprimanded by the professor.
“To be honest, the group project is already a lost cause, and we haven’t even started yet.”
Just then, the pork belly stir-fry arrived.
“I hope you don’t make my life any more miserable. One thing I can say for sure is this.”
Joohee sunbae declared frankly, as if she were giving a toast.
“Just listen to what I say, and I’ll make sure the group project is a success.”
Really?
“You’re so cool.”
I think I’m going to fall for her.

“I’m so glad we have five free hours.”
Joohee sunbae’s words stung me quite a bit. I was about to ask her what she meant, but she must have realized she had misspoken, because she smiled and corrected herself.
“No, I mean, you can use the free time wisely.”
“That’s true.”
We were waiting to film on a bench in the corner of the university.
Since we weren’t professionals, we could just film with our phones, so we didn’t need any equipment and could start right away. The problem arose from an unexpected place.
“So, so what?!”
“Damn it.”
The moment he heard Hyunho Ahn’s pronunciation, the senior hit his forehead with his palm and let out a deep sigh.
“I didn’t know you’d hit the wall like this.”
Hyunho Ahn, who was using a pronunciation so bad that it was hard to believe he had gotten into college.
Not only that, but he couldn’t even memorize his lines properly, so the filming was being delayed.
“I don’t know who you are……!”
“Damn it, man! Come here! Oh! I lost! I’m going to the editing room right now!”
Senior Juhee dragged Hyunho Ahn away. Thanks to that, Seoyerin, who had been left alone, quietly approached my seat.
“Why didn’t you reply?”
She immediately shot out a question.
Just a moment ago, she had been speaking cheerfully, saying things like, “Woojin! Do you want to drink a cola?” and “What time does the lecture end?”
As soon as everyone was gone, she turned cold and glared at me.
“…….”
I kept my mouth shut because I felt like I would get scolded if I asked what she meant, so Seoyerin pinched my thigh hard.
“Ouch!”
“This hat, it’s yours, right?”
“I could have the same one!”
“Do you expect me to believe that?”
“…….”
“Tell me honestly.”
Seoyerin put her hand on my thigh with a smirk. It seemed like the physical contact had become more frequent, but it was too often to dismiss it as a mood thing.
“Did you sleep with Iseul?”
“…….”
“No, I’m not mad. Why would I be mad when I’m not even in a serious relationship with you? You can date other girls too.”
“…….”
“Tell me. Huh?”
I felt like I was looking at a witch tempting me with some kind of candy. I had been caught anyway, and as Seoyerin said, we weren’t really in a relationship.
“I just slept with her. Nothing else happened.”
“……Really?”
“Really.”
“Hmm.”
To be honest, I thought Seoyerin would be mad even if I said that. The atmosphere was just like that.
However.
“Then it’s fine.”
I couldn’t help but be taken aback when I saw Seoyerin’s expression change to one of relief.
She really didn’t seem to care. No, rather, the fact that she seemed so relaxed made me feel strangely hot.
“If you can’t hold it in, call me.”
Seoyerin said that and slyly slid her hand on my thigh to the inside.
“Oh my god?!”
I got up without realizing it and avoided Seoyerin’s hand, but she found my reaction funny and giggled.
“Woojin’s reaction is so cute?”
“Ah, no, are you crazy?”
“Why? We’re partners, aren’t we?”
“…….”
Seoyerin got up from her seat as she said that. She came up to me and patted my shoulder, giving me a kind of warning.
“Don’t go around using it recklessly.”
I could clearly see that Seoyerin had changed since our last relationship.
Seoyerin left with a cold smile and headed towards Senior Juhee and Hyunho Ahn.
Even though we had had s*x, which she had been so desperate to do, I wondered if it was possible for a person to change so much. Also, the fact that only I knew about the change was creepy.
As if Seo Yerim and Anonymous69 were the same person, living in hiding.
Even now, she was talking with a smile while hiding her true self… She was worthy of being the lead in a movie.
“I’ll go to the convenience store for a bit.”
I slipped out of my seat while watching Ahn Hyunho receiving a lecture from Senior Joohee.
There was still some time left before the 5 o’clock lecture started, but thanks to Seo Yerim, I felt a little uncomfortable being there.
‘Why the hell did she become like that?’
Seo Yerim was changing.
It seemed like she was going in a bad direction, and I felt like I should stop her.
But then again, I wondered what I could do.
In the end, wasn’t I the one who fell for her when she wagged her tail and approached me? It was the same with Seo Yerim, and it was the same yesterday.
‘I need to get my head straight.’
As I walked, thinking that if I got caught up in this any further, it could be a big problem.
“Ugly! What are you doing!”
I didn’t look back because I wasn’t ugly, but I felt the impact on my back right away.
Yoo Ah-rin, who had slapped my back with her palm, approached me with a smirk.
“Weren’t you filming? Why are you slacking off?”
“Huh.”
I didn’t know I would think this way, but seeing Yoo Ah-rin made my troubled mind feel at ease.
From Noble mtl dot com
Was she openly picking a fight with me, or was she just being annoying?
On the contrary, it made me feel much more at ease.
In the past, she was definitely a shady and secretive person, but the moment she realized that what happened between Chanwoo and her high school had nothing to do with me.
Or rather, I should say that it became easier to deal with her.
She was secretive, but now that it was all out in the open, it felt a little easier to deal with her.
“I came to buy a drink. You buy one too.”
“You’re going to buy me one? Then I’ll have a Häagen-Dazs…!”
“No, I’m telling you to buy it with your own money.”
“You’re a tease, you always make me misunderstand what you say.”
Yoo Ah-rin said that as she picked up a Choco Mong from the convenience store.
“Are you a cameraman now?”
I asked her as I picked out some drinks for the people who were filming, and Yoo Ah-rin answered in a rather excited voice.
“Yeah! To be honest, I’m really looking forward to it.”
“You always liked movies and stuff.”
Since she liked movies and writing scripts, I guess she wanted to be involved even if it wasn’t her own assignment.
I thought Yoo Ah-rin would be happy if she got a good grade.
“But you must be far from filming. You haven’t even shot a few scenes yet.”
“Huh? Why? I feel like it’s been more than 2 hours since lunch?”
“You’ll know when you go and see.”
Thanks to the super carry of the English and Chinese departments, the progress was slow. I think Yoo Ah-rin will probably like it when she sees it.
“Ah, I want to do it quickly. I even practiced in front of a mirror.”
“……What do you want me to do?”
I finished paying and was about to go back to the filming location when Yoo Ah-rin stopped me.
“Hey, can you watch me act for a bit?”
“No.”
“Ah, hurry! I’m helping you with your assignment!”
Oh, man.
I put the bag of drinks on the outdoor table in front of the convenience store and looked at Yoo Ah-rin.
She took out the Choco Mong she had just bought and drank it noisily, then took a deep breath and glared at me.’Oh, pretty good?’
It was more emotional than I thought.
Did Yuarin have a role like that?
“f*cking cool today!”
“……”
“f*ck you! Esol!
“……”
“Kiss my ass! Shut up!”
Finally, Yuarin pretends to raise her middle finger and shakes her shoulders like a rapper.
“f*ck off!”
“……Is that line in the script?”
I don’t know because I didn’t read the script properly, but is there really something like that?
“No? There isn’t.”
“……”
“This is worth a curse. Oh, it’s cool.”
With a refreshed expression, she takes out Hershey’s chocolate milk from her arms and hands it to me as if hitting my chest.
Then Yuarin runs away.
I was so surprised that I stared blankly at Yuarin’s back and laughed in vain.
“That’s a real crazy girl.”
