Became an Evolving Space Monster - Chapter 217

Ep. 216
“Are you here?”
When we returned to the nest, PS-111 greeted us. Heavenly Mother and No. 26 were nowhere to be seen.
[Zuzu zuzuzu zuzu zuzuzu zuzuzu (Nothing happened? Did you meet an enemy or something?)]
“No instances of the creature ‘Gallagon’ have been encountered. The main controller is on the Cult cruiser.”
[Zuz …
“The ‘middle child’ never returned after leaving on reconnaissance.”
It looks like PS-111 is guarding the nest and 26 is guarding the Gallagons on the cruiser. The Sky Mother is out monitoring the Odd Grad horde and hasn’t returned yet.
I put down a few of the cocoons I was holding onto the nest.
“What is that?”
[Zuz …
“It appears to be an interesting looking organic compound.”
[Zuzu zuzuzu zuzuzu zuzuzuzu (there’s liquid inside, so just inhale)]
“Confirmed.”
PS-111 moved its long, stretched legs and approached the kochi.
The creature deftly used its bladed legs to gently tear the cocoon. It then opened its clawed hands wide and placed them against the flowing liquid.
The guy who ate the energy absorption device made by Star Union, ‘Blood River’, sometimes consumed nutrients in that way. I wondered if he could taste it like that, but he didn’t seem to care much.
“It contains a large amount of essential nutrients for survival. Can you obtain this organic compound in large quantities?”
[Zuzu zuzuzu zuzu zuzuzu (That’s all I brought)]
“We suggest additional acquisition of organic compounds in the future.”
When I first drank the liquid from the gochi, I felt like my wounds were healing, but it wasn’t because I was imagining it. It was because it was rich in nutrients, just like the guy analyzed.
In a way, it might be natural. It’s made by melting a whole living creature and then fermenting it.
[Zuz …
“Younger compatriots” “Food?”
[Z (Yeah)]
It had been a day and a half since the guys had been holed up on the cruiser. The gallagons on the cruiser were not out hunting, as there was a possibility that a Green Gallagon pursuit party would appear in this area.
There is a large amount of combat rations left on the cruiser from the Cult crew, but they are not fit for Gallagon consumption, so he will likely continue to starve until now.
‘If you starve to death, you’ll be in big trouble.’
The reason I brought the Blue Gallagons was to appease the remnants of Adhai and Ham Ort. I have not yet received payment for saving their lives, and I have no intention of leaving them to die like this.
However, Adhai, unaware of my intentions, was delighted to see me taking care of the guys.
“Younger compatriots” “Hunger” “Relief” “Adults” “Work” “Me” “Adults” “Compatriots” “Food” “Transmission”
[Zuzu zuzuzu zuzuzu zuzuzu (Okay. Just listen to this and this)]
“Problem” “None”
Even after leaving the nest with PS-111, the guy kept chattering. Just like a few days ago, he seemed to want to be a good adult to the young hatchlings. Regardless of his feelings toward his own kind who abandoned him.
‘Maybe he’s doing that because he wants to erase painful memories.’
I joined Adhai’s chatter as we crossed the forest. Soon, an ivory cruiser appeared between the trees. I could sense the parasite-infested cults moving around inside the cruiser.
“Hello, big baby!”
And No. 26 also sensed me and sent a wave inside the ship. And then a moment later, the guy popped out of the open hangar.
‘huh?’
The guy who approached me was holding five blue-scaled gallagons. The blue gallagons, each over 2m long, were immersed in a 10m-long pink jellyfish. They all looked as comfortable as if they were being held in their mother’s arms.
[Zuzu (that?)]
“I fed the babies because they were flapping their wings and saying they were hungry!”
[Zuzu (food?)]
As the guy said, the tentacles of the Blue Gallagons were stuck in the psychic power that was spread over No. 26’s body.
‘Are you feeding it psychic power?’
Periodically, the thin tentacles would puff out like straws, clearly showing that they were absorbing psychic power.
‘If you think about it, it’s not impossible.’
No. 26 also grew rapidly by absorbing the psychic power of the dead C-Demon. It is quite possible that he could also transfer the power to Gallagon, a fellow psychic creature.
‘Now that I think about it, the color of the scales seems to have changed… .’
Looking back, the colors of the Blue Gallagons that the guy was holding were strange. They were all blue, but had green stripes.
[Zuz …
“I don’t know”
Adhai also tilted his head at the hatchlings, wondering if they were strange.
At that moment, a group of Ham Orts appeared behind No. 26. They were the White Gallagon Nel Germa and the three Green Gallagons he had brought.
I held out the cocoons I had brought to them. Only then did No. 26, who had noticed the cocoons my arms and erosion tentacles were holding, ask.
“What is that?”
[Zuzuzuzuz zuuzuzuzuz zuuzuzuzuzuzuz (food. I brought it for everyone to eat)]
“It looks strange.”
“Appearance” “Funny” “But” “Sweetness”
Perhaps curious about Adhai’s words, the creature took out its tentacles and wrapped them around the cocoon. Then, other than the body that was wrapping around the Blue Gallagon, it spread out other parts of its body like a blanket and swallowed the cocoon whole.
The liquid inside the semi-transparent pink body began to flow out as the cocoon melted. The body of the creature that absorbed the liquid began to shine and sparkle like a mirror ball.
“it’s good!”
As he began to eat, the other Gallagons also took an interest in the kochi. The moment they all tasted the kochi, their eyes widened into crescent moon shapes.
“Thank you” “Grace” “Not forgetting”
Nel Germa, who had tasted a bit of the gochi and handed it over to the hatchlings, greeted me. The green gallagons next to me also noticed and sent me waves of gratitude.
‘I didn’t do anything particularly worthy of gratitude.’
It was never given for free. I intend to receive back everything I gave later.
After bringing food to the gallagons, I returned to the nest to recover from my injuries. And when night fell, the Heavenly Mother returned to the nest.
She brought two pieces of very important information.
One is that the Odd Grad flock showed movement. It is said that 12 White Gallagons left their nests at once.
My plan was to defeat the White Gallagons one by one before they could nest, because Adhai needs to eat White Gallagons to grow.
‘I also need the genetic essence of White Gallagon.’
Up to this point everything was going according to plan, but the second piece of information was the problem.
[Zzzz …
“Yeah. I saw the other Gallagons move him.”
She nodded in agreement with everyone gathered there.
According to the Heavenly Mother, the mother who gave birth to Adhai was still alive. In fact, it would be more accurate to say that she was just breathing rather than alive.
When they heard the news of Ham Ort’s survival, the three Green Gallagons, including Nel Germa, seemed to be shaken. Since he was their leader, they seemed to want to rescue him somehow.
‘hmm.’
Things got complicated.
First of all, I am not the leader of the Gallagons hiding in the cruiser. I did not fight and defeat their group. I protected them and brought them food, but that alone is not enough to turn their backs on their former leader.
‘As time goes by, they will follow me too… .’
It’s a meaningless assumption because it’s impossible right now.
But leaving Ort to die is also problematic. He is the only Gallagon who knows about Adhai’s secrets. There is still a lot of information that can be obtained from him.
“How about rescuing them when they build a nest after each individual defeat?”
“Well, the injury looks serious, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to hold out until then.”
Not only that, we don’t have much time. The White Queen was left with serious injuries. The White Gallagon is a sturdy creature, so it could last a day or two, but more than that, who knows.
‘What should I do?’
In fact, this is a question with a set answer.
There are still many enemies left in the nest. Breaking through them and rescuing Ham Ort would mean virtually waging an all-out war. This is not a strategy we would choose when we are in a completely disadvantaged position.
However, it is another matter to openly say that you will abandon Ham Ort.
Doing so could have a negative impact on the Nell Germa and Green Gallagons. They have said they will follow my advice, so they will not openly oppose me.
‘Even if you fight with all your might, such an ambiguous attitude is difficult in a difficult situation.’
As I was wondering what would be the best course of action, Adhai approached me.
“Big Adult” “Ham Ort” “Worry” “Unnecessary”
[Zuzu (huh?)]
“I” “Confirmation” “Ham Oort” “Strong” “Same race” “Comparison” “Impossible” “Pain” “Overcome” “Possible” “I” “Believe” “Survival” “Possible”
Adhai says that Ham Ort is strong and can endure it.
“The Daughter of the Meteorite” “That’s Right”
“agreement”
The other Gallagons agreed with the words of Adhai, who was Ham Ort’s daughter and considered the savior of Gallagon.
[Zuzuzuzu (Are you okay?)]
Adhai nodded, understanding my implicit question.
“It’s okay”
[Z (Yeah)]
I know why he did that. He’s a smart guy, so he quickly realized that I was in trouble. That’s why he stepped forward and convinced the Gallagons instead.
However, regardless of his actions, there was a look of anxiety in his eyes. It must have been evidence of his love and hate for his mother.
‘He must live until his mind is made up.’
It is not the black dragon Od Grad who decides Ham Ort’s treatment, but his abandoned child Adha.
Anyway, thanks to Adhai, we’ve decided how to proceed. First, we’ll take care of the White Gallagon that’s out hunting, and then we’ll rescue Ham Ort as quickly as possible.
“Nell Germa” “The Hunting Ground” “I Know”
[Zuzu zuzu zuzu zuzu zuzu zuzu (Okay. Then let’s go there first)]
The four of us decided to go hunting for the White Gallagon: Adhai, me, No. 26, and Nel Germa. Heavenly Mother was still on watch, and PS-111 was assigned to guard the cruiser.
“The Cult’s fleet system is complex, but it’s operational with crews.”
[Zuzu zuzuzu zuzuzu (I’m asking just in case)]
“All right.”
After completing all the preparations, we immediately got ready to move.
Before leaving, I called my Heavenly Mother separately. I felt a little awkward about sending her off again after finally returning.
“I’m sorry. This is much better than fighting while flying.”
[Zuz …
“I don’t know how many times I’ve heard Morphbak apologize.”
[Zzuzuzu zuzuzuzu zuzuzu zuzuzuzu zuzuzuzu zuzuzuzu (When you say it like that, it seems really okay)]
“Oh, if you can save Gallagon’s heart, please leave it.”
[Zuzuzuzu zuuzuzu (I will. Be careful)]
Instead of answering, she blinked one eye, winked, and disappeared into the darkness.
After sending her off, I flew into the sky with No. 26 on my back. Adhai and Nel Germa, who were waiting for me, bowed their heads slightly when they saw me.
“Hunting Ground” “This Way”
We moved quickly under the guidance of Nel Germa. Since time was of the essence in the individual defeat operation, we hurried as much as possible.
We moved in silence for a while. While flying through the night sky filled with dark clouds, Nel Germa, who was in the lead, began to slow down.
“Nearby” “Hunting ground”
“I” “family” “power” “one” “sensation”
[Zuzuzuzuzuzuzu (How close?)]
“Strength” “Dimness” “Distance” “Considerable”
At Adhai’s words, we slowed down.
‘There’s only one enemy. You’re lucky.’
It was unexpected since they usually move in groups of two or three. Still, just in case, I asked the two Gallagons to keep watch.
As we moved, hiding in the clouds, I could sense psychic powers from somewhere close to the ground. The other side must have sensed our psychic powers as well, as their movements became much faster.
‘I noticed.’
[Zuzu zuzu zuzu (Let’s do it right now)]
“agreement”
[Zuzuzu (hold tight)]
“huh!”
I warned No. 26 and adjusted the angle of my wings to dive down. Nel Germa and Adhai followed me closely, not far behind.
A white dot is seen moving at an eerie speed across a pitch-black forest.
It was a white galleon trying to get away from us.
I predicted the direction the guy was running and fired a normal psychic breath towards it. The purple power gathered in the tentacles on the back of his head, neck, and under his chin became a single ray of heat.
With a loud noise, the trees and the ground in front of White Gallagon split apart. The one who narrowly avoided my psychic breath shot tried to use his hyper-acceleration ability.
But I’m not alone here. Nel Germa, who was next to me, let out psychic breath twice.
One of the purple lightning bolts that fell from the sky with a small aerobatic maneuver escaped unharmed. The remaining one tried to tear off its wing, but unfortunately failed. The fleeing one turned its head and fired a psychic breath in return.
Two pure white dragons that resemble eyes shoot purple heat rays that collide in the air.
A tremendous roar echoed throughout the surrounding area, either from the sound of distant lightning or from the clash of their powers.
The bastard realized that Nel Germa was stronger than him and tried to run away after only neutralizing the psychic breath. However, in the meantime, Adhai approached the bastard and fired his signature energy bullet-type psychic breath in rapid succession.
Adhai’s psychic breaths flew towards him like bullets from a machine gun. This time, he couldn’t dodge them properly. Three of the psychic breaths tore through one of his wings.
The creature could no longer fly and fell into the middle of the forest.
‘it’s okay.’
After confirming the fall of the bastard, I landed in the forest with Adhai and Nel Germa. A white Gallagon was lying among the broken trees.
‘It’s small.’
It was larger than the Green Gallagon or Adhai, but it was clearly smaller than the Nel Germa. It had only recently become a White Gallagon, and it seemed to be true.
‘But it doesn’t have anything to do with growing Aadhai, right?’
Feed it to the guy and everything will become clear.
I approached Gallagon of the Odd Grad horde. He just glared at me.
Is it afraid of us? Only its wings were broken, but the rest of its body was relatively intact. Considering Gallagon’s aggressive nature, it would have already attacked us.
‘Are you a timid person?’
The guy who was glaring at me then let out a thought wave.
“You” “Black compatriot?”
[Huh?]
“Trap” “Caught”
‘trap?’
The moment I recognized the guy’s ideology, I felt my whole body shrink.
This feeling of the air becoming heavy and the entire transcendental sense of Aimov ringing an alarm bell.
This intense sensation, different from the future that the predator sense conveys, was something I had only felt once before.
‘When the Imperial Carrier fired the Cosmic Bolt.’
It was similar to the sense of crisis I felt when confronted with an absolute power that burned down the planet.
What that means is that a being with absolute power is after my life.
The sense of crisis I felt was not something I felt alone.
“Black compatriots?” “Big man!” “Danger!”
“Leader” “Close” “There!” “Danger!” “Danger!” “Danger!”
Looking back, I see Adhai and Nel Germa shaking in panic.
In addition, No. 26, who was riding on his back, also unleashed his psychic powers without saying a word. He created fins and tentacles from his body, and activated the ‘Deep Sea Terror’ trait.
‘Number 26?’
He was on my back, so he was the same size, but he was fully armed. I’ve never seen No. 26 this alert before.
“Odd Grad!” “Great Odd Grad!” “Here it comes!”
The moment Nel Germa shot the thought wave as if screaming.
Beyond the dark clouds that covered the sky, a huge shadow appeared. The shadow of a huge black dragon with two wings.
‘Odd Grad!’
King of the Gallagon Nest and ruler of this planet.
Aadhai’s father, the black tyrant, Odd Grad, has come here.
