Became an Evolving Space Monster - Chapter 245

Ep. 244
Adhai and I flew up, avoiding the falling ice shards.
I’m worried about PS-111, who is not here, but I can’t afford to miss out on Pira Eleven. If I do, my secret weapon will be exposed to enemy players.
I came out of the canyon, determined to get things sorted out as quickly as possible.
In the sky, a battle was raging between galleons and battleships hundreds of meters in size.
The night sky would normally be dark, but not at this moment. The breath of space dragons, the flames of weapons manufactured by machines, and even the eerie glow of clouds.
Just like in the game, the battlefields of this world were also very flashy and noisy.
‘But here, if you die, it’s over.’
I moved my wing arms strongly to increase my speed. Adhai, carrying the Heavenly Mother, followed me closely.
The cannons that had been firing at the galleons turned their muzzles toward me. Soon, the lights flashed like fireworks.
Torpedoes fired from hundreds of cannons mounted on Pira Eleven’s ships fly in to crush me and Adhai.
Adhai, who was standing next to me, prepared for an evasive maneuver. As I also prepared to prepare for the rain of torpedoes, something strange happened in the ominous glow of the clouds.
The clouds, which had taken on the shape of a magnificent whirlwind like a typhoon, were shooting out purple lightning.
Lightning bolts of psychic power split like rake and spread across the torpedoes. Thin streams of energy struck the torpedoes, causing a chain reaction of explosions.
Beyond the smoke rising with the explosion, the figure of the person who created the lightning is visible.
Ham Ort, a black-scaled Gallagon and second-in-command of the Adhai horde, made brief eye contact with me. He glanced at the Adhai flying past me, then resumed his attack on the ship.
Ham Ort spread his wings and glided toward the ground to avoid the torpedoes. Other Gallagons followed him in formation. Those that had avoided the torpedoes split into two groups and gained altitude.
‘You’re moving like you were fighting Skywhale.’
Skywhale adults are larger than any Gallagon. They fight in a siege formation as if they were taking on a larger opponent.
The gallagons that approached the bottom of the ship simultaneously breathed fire. The dragon’s breath heated the outer wall of the ship and burned the cannons mounted below. The cannons exploded as they were stimulated by psychic power while firing torpedoes.
While the Gallagons were pouring down their fire, Pira Eleven also began a counterattack.
A large number of APDs were ejected from inside the ship and rushed at the Gallagons. The ones hiding in the canyon were only a few, but there were a huge number of them. It was as if a swarm of locusts trapped inside the ship had burst out.
A wave of psychic powers was released from the APD group. The adult Gallagons, including Ham Ort, quickly retreated and got out of the APD’s attack range, but some Gallagons were unable to do so.
The flight speed of the Green Gallagons, who were attacked by the APD, dropped drastically. They were still young and not proficient in psychic powers, so they could barely stay afloat by flapping their wings. And the cannons were targeting the weakened Green Gallagons.
‘Where!’
While Pira Eleven was engaging in a duel with the Gallagons, I closed the distance between me and the ship and opened my mouth wide. A green slime ball rose from the back of my throat, flying through the air and landing on the cannon.
Acidic fungi, which considered the solid alloy a meal, quickly ate away at the port. Torpedoes that were about to be launched exploded as the port was blocked. The impact caused the cannons to stop firing, and in the meantime, the Green Gallagons, who had lost their psychic powers, hurriedly withdrew from the battlefield.
‘Four guys got hit by APD.’
Now, there are four White Gallagons, five Green Gallagons, and Ham Ort left. After making sure that the Green Gallagons landed safely on the snow, I prepared my Psychic Breath.
Torpedoes were flying towards me, but this time I wasn’t taken lightly like before. No. 26 knew I was preparing a big attack and stepped forward.
Torpedoes as large as three or four adult males stopped in midair. As No. 26 waved her tentacles, numerous torpedoes fluttered and began to fall to the ground.
While No. 26 was buying a moment, my monster’s tentacles, which had quickly completed their charge, emitted light. A massive surge of energy, like an erupting volcano, struck the ship.
The Pira Eleven’s ship rocked back and forth, and a large hole was ripped through its side. Some of the facilities inside were also hit, as localized explosions occurred in other areas besides the one that was hit.
Then the APDs hurriedly gathered to protect their master. The drone’s cloud continuously poured out waves to counteract the psychic power.
The energy gathering in the tentacles continued to disperse due to the interference waves of the APD, but it didn’t matter. Thanks to the ‘Dragon’s Heart’, psychic power was being generated at a rate faster than the speed at which it was disappearing.
‘And I have support.’
Adhai and the other White Gallagons gathered around me and fired their breaths together. Adhai’s energy bullets and the heat rays of the regular Gallagons mixed with my breath and struck the APD.
And above us, Ham Ort was tuning the Maelstrom. Torpedoes fired from the ship were caught in the lightning and storm, missed their targets, and exploded in the air.
The APDs continued to spread waves to block psychic powers, but they could no longer withstand the continuous barrage of psychic attacks.
APD was already vulnerable to time-lag attacks, but with Gallagon’s uniquely powerful firepower added to the mix, there was no way to defend against it.
If the enemy had been a fleet rather than a single ship, it would have been possible to mobilize many more APDs to stop them, but in this situation, such an assumption is meaningless.
The wall of expensive drones crumbled, and the breath burned the front of the ship. The fire unleashed by the angry Gallagons was so powerful that the thick outer walls were melted away.
Did they decide that any damage beyond this would affect their escape?
The Pira Eleven ship fired a barrage of torpedoes and began to accelerate above the clouds, attempting to travel faster than light in the atmosphere.
[Zuzuzuzuzuzu (You can’t miss it)]
“Children of Adhai!” “Here!” “Grudge!” “I will get revenge!”
Upon hearing Adhai’s command, the Gallagons ignored their defenses and went on the offensive.
Even though they were covered in blood in the saturation, they did not back down and continued to shoot dragon breath indiscriminately. I also joined their attack, catching and crushing the remaining APDs with my bare hands.
But the thing seemed to have finished preparing by now, as its hull was bathed in a pale blue light. It was a sign that it wasn’t long before it would reach superluminal speeds.
Even as the storm rages and the ship takes damage, it still attempts to leap into deep space.
‘This can’t go on like this.’
This was unexpected.
If a ship goes into hypersonic travel while severely damaged, the ship may break apart during the journey or its coordinates may become misaligned and it may crash into the star.
I thought that Pira Eleven, being a machine, would not try to do it rashly, but it was the opposite. The guy was betting on a slight possibility rather than certain death on the spot.
I stopped firing my breath and accelerated towards the thing. I landed on the back of the hull and poured acid fungus onto the outer walls.
There’s no way to prevent it from jumping, except by destroying its hyperluminal engines, or by entering hyperluminal travel with it.
‘I can come back anyway…’
The moment I was about to melt the outer wall and enter the interior, the small anti-aircraft turrets on the rear fired something at me. It was so small that it was hard to see it as an anti-aircraft bullet, and it stuck to my body.
As soon as I felt the sensation of being hit, all the strength left my body. An extreme sense of weariness and helplessness came over me, and I almost fell off the boat.
I’ve felt this feeling before, beyond the simple feeling of being sick, of having my life robbed.
‘Blood River!’
I thought it didn’t exist because I hadn’t used it until now, but that wasn’t the case.
The Blood Reaver hidden on the ship was Pyrrha Eleven’s last resort.
When fighting Muriel, I put ‘Gremlin Moss’ on my body to destroy mechanical equipment in advance, but that is not the case now.
Moreover, he used twice as many Blood Reavers on me as Muriel. It feels like at least 15 just from the fading senses of my body. That’s enough to turn even an Odd Grad or an Ice Horror into a mummy in an instant.
In reality, the hard shells of my body were losing their life and shrinking. I was only able to hold on thanks to the fact that I was focusing all my energy on the hands that were holding onto my stomach.
‘What should I do?’
If you fall like this, you could die because your shell is weakened. However, if you stick to its belly and follow it, you will only end up in a miserable future.
‘I have to choose quickly… okay?’
At that moment, the feeling of the life force draining from my body became weaker. Along with that, my body slowly began to recover again.
Thanks to my weakened auxiliary organs regaining some energy, I was able to see what was happening in my body.
‘Number 26!’
As I was about to collapse, Number 26, who was on top of my head, came to my aid. He was using his psychic powers to tear off the Blood Reavers attached to various parts of my body and throw them away.
Having regained some of my energy, I put strength into my fighting arm and entered the ship.
[Thank you]
“I’ll punish anyone who hurts the big kid.”
Thanks to him, I was able to escape Blood River, but there was still a problem. I could see the hull covered in a vivid blue light.
In just a few seconds, this ship will be leaving the frozen star below us, far away.
‘It’s late.’
Now, there’s nothing I can do. After arriving, I have no choice but to find a way to face the enemies and fight them or escape.
I thought so.
Until I heard the broadcast that shouldn’t be heard in this place.
“Control over the hyperluminal engine hack has been seized via physical contact. Hyperluminal travel is canceled.”
A familiar voice came from a speaker somewhere inside the ship. Along with that, the blue light that spread throughout the ship subsided as if it had never existed.
“Wow! A friend! Big baby, there’s a friend here!”
[Zuzu (yeah)]
Behind the familiar voice came the mechanical voice of the ship’s owner.
“Pira Eleven. Incomprehensible. PS Model 111. Obey immediately.”
“That can’t be happening, former main controller. As long as I’m here, this ship can’t go anywhere.”
“Pira Eleven. Attempting to regain control of the ship. PS Model 111. I am ordering you again. Obey and do your duty.”
Pira Eleven’s voice sounded very urgent, unlike anything I’d ever heard before.
It can’t be helped. Below, the Gallagons are flying in to tear the ship apart, and inside the ship, there is a giant creature that is hostile to it.
Additionally, an unexpected traitor is threatening his life.
Even if there are any Screamers left on board, it’s impossible for them to subdue us. They have no more moves left.
“Pira Eleven. Control of hyperspeed engine restored.”
However, as expected of a top member, Pira Eleven, who boasted outstanding specs, quickly regained control. Immediately after the bastard’s voice was heard through the speaker, a faint blue light began to spread through the hallway again.
‘But I still bought some time.’
PS-111 has done its job well enough. Now it’s our turn.
Even as I moved to find Pira Eleven, who ruled the ship, the speakers were filled with arguing.
“PS Model 111. It’s not too late. Obey.”
To Pira Eleven’s suggestion, the traitor, PS-111, gave a short reply.
“I am a special individual. No one can control me.”
As always, the guy’s voice was calm.
