Episode 100. How to end an era 4
While everyone was embarrassed and laughing at this black comedy, there was one person who couldn’t laugh at all.
It’s all over. He got the joke. He doesn’t laugh because he got the joke.
Just like how no matter how funny a joke is, you can’t laugh at it if it’s told at a funeral. Just like how no matter how funny a joke is, you can’t laugh at it if it touches on an important part of yourself.
He couldn’t laugh at this performance, which made fun of his precious family, the Shuzor’s Liwaduwan, whom he had tried so hard to embrace.
Kikari also recognized it. The gazes of the extremist and the great master of Datang met briefly.
The extremists would just smile faintly and madly belittle the pride of the great Datang, and constantly mock the Datang people who could not help but laugh while being belittled.
And when it reached its peak, the final stage finally began.
As expected, it was a performance that had never been performed before.
And a performance that could never have existed before. That is what Kikari wants to unfold.
“The show that is about to begin is the last! It’s all a joke! It’s all a lie! The last stage that makes no sense from start to finish! Please watch ‘The Most Stupid Nono’!”
And finally, the final play begins.
The first stage that has never been seen before.
That is, the first stage presented by this theater company consisting only of Nono, ‘a stage where Nono is the main character.’ And it is a 100% pure original performance composed only of the most absurd and ridiculous stories.
Kikari takes on the role of director, producer, and leading actor on this stage.
Before the Mainilun performance began, Kikari called together the members who had been with her for many years.
“Listen carefully, members. When this play ends, I’ll either die a horrible death or become a main-ni-run.”
“!”
“I don’t know the odds. But if I don’t make it to the main run this time, I’m going to die anyway.”
“Yes, yes?”
“I’m going to commit suicide.”
Everyone felt creepy. Kikari. Because it felt like they were seeing the darkness in Nono’s heart, who had devoted his life to making these people happy.
“I lived my whole life for the Nono tribe. I thought that the Nono tribe had talent and knew how to do things. That’s why I lied. I fought with the determination to die for my people. Even if I had to become a laughing stock in the world, I crawled up and finally came to this stage.”
“… … .”
“I will become a Nono tribe member and become a Minnie Run. I will definitely do it. I will break down that thick wall with just one theme expressed in this play, on a stage that has never been seen before in history.”
“But… … what if I can’t do it?”
Kikari laughed.
“It’s okay. But the story remains. The Nonos who tried to resist remain as a story. And if they don’t understand at all, I just feel sorry for them.”
Kikari encouraged the members.
“Let’s go. It’s the last show! Let’s heat up Mainnirun with our stage!”
Long, long ago, in a very long time ago, on a stormy night when no man ran out to look for fire, and when the Patchars did not fight each other, even longer ago, there lived a great man. His name was Nono.
Nono could do anything. If he wanted to, he could grab the celestial bodies in the universe and move them at will, he could be bigger and stronger than anyone else, he could jump to the other side of the world, he could change the weather at will, he could raise the dead and bring back things that were lost. He could live forever.
The only thing he couldn’t do was think. He had everything, but he wasn’t wise.
One day, Nono thinks.
“Oh my goodness, the stars are so bright that people are getting too hot! So if you could get rid of a few, they’d be more grateful.”
And Nono takes the sun from the sky and drops it on the ground. He throws it on the ground without thinking, and when the sun falls, the dense forest of Dator burns down and turns into ashes.
“Ouch! Sorry! I’ll turn it off right now!”
Nono peed while trying to turn it off, but he peed so much that this time everything was washed away and the world became filled with swamps. And the hippos who got covered in dirty urine got angry and started attacking anyone.
“Ahh… … . I really didn’t mean to do this. I’m really sorry.”
So Nono gave up the power to move the sky and gave it to the celestial bodies in the sky to move at will, and gave the ability to control the weather to the sky. This time, too, he gave it to them wrongly, and Dator ended up having only two seasons, unlike the rest of the world.
After that, Nono continued to do stupid things. He made the short and weak Gigards bigger so they had to eat several times more, and he didn’t like the colorful Patchar people fighting each other with their body colors, so he tried to color them all pretty, but ended up changing them all to black.
Nono accidentally made a hole in the ground while digging and created the ocean. He also accidentally dropped an endless jar of salt into the ocean, making the water undrinkable.
“I’m sorry! Eww!”
Each time, Nono gives up one of his abilities as a form of payment.
He gave great strength to the Gigard who had made a mistake, and when the Patchar began to fight in anger, he gave them mercy to reconcile. When the Datons were left to wander forever across the plains, he leveled the land and was so exhausted that he never moved it again.
Originally one, men and women were separated, and each of the once perfect species developed flaws. Animals began to eat each other, and plants could not walk and were left to stand still and look up at the sky.
The once omnipotent Nono is now losing his powers one by one. He forgets what he has lost and makes mistakes again. The world has become a mess.
If you just watch the performance, it seems like all the evil and misfortune in the world comes from that person. The process is so comical that it’s an absurd play that he ruins everything in an unimaginable way.
From childish slapstick comedy with falling and crashing, to grandiose blunders, and the world changing with each passing moment.
Everyone laughed. They were laughing at that idiot. Unlike the previous dramas, it was purely a joke about a fictional character, so it might be a lot more comfortable.
And Nono, who has lost all his abilities, speaks in a pitiful state.
“Ah… … . I’m sorry about everything. I had so many things, but now I have none. I tried to do my best, but… … .”
Other people of the same tribe gather around. All the Nono members, supporting actors, and assistant directors who have appeared on stage so far. A group composed entirely of Nono.
“Now that we’ve shared all our strength with others, we’re left with only one thing. We just… … don’t get caught up in one-shotting.”
“… … .”
“… … .”
“… … .”
The members, the audience, and the great Mine Runners were all silent at that moment.
‘uh?’
And Kikari says that seriously, then shrugs her shoulders and smiles.
“Come to think of it, I think that’s it!”
Dog bone!
“Hahahahahahaha!”
Everyone laughed at the frog sound that was supposed to make them laugh. The Nono tribe members laughed in unison and did their usual finishing dance, doing somersaults in the air.
“We are the descendants of that great fool!”
“That’s why they call us the Nono tribe!”
A curtain call with the closing words of every performance and a splendid dance performance by all the members.
Did Kikari eventually fail? Couldn’t she have become a main runner?
Did the story just reach the great newcomer?
“ha ha ha…….”
Kikari smiled with a reassuring smile. After confirming it, she jumped back into the performance.
“Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!”
Tattoon Marechi was shocked. It was something he had never heard in his nearly ten thousand years of life.
“All the Lord is smiling!”
“what?!”
Everyone turned their heads in shock. All of them were laughing like crazy after watching the whole performance. Sitting on the throne, they were laughing uncontrollably with the Datang Oram on their heads.
I have never seen Tattoonang Marechi, nor have any Datun or Datangin since then seen All Chaun smile.
All I’ve seen from Ol Chaun over the years is anger, frustration, sadness, agony, yelling and swearing.
All of this was a smile on his face for the first time in nearly 15,000 years.
“Hahahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Ehahahahahaha! How, how could such a thing exist!”
The great All Chaun may have forgotten how to smile. In the meantime, a series of painful events. The suffering and sadness, and the process of overcoming them, were his life.
So, even though everyone was laughing at the play, I didn’t know what to do. I had to laugh at the insult.
But I couldn’t hold it in until the last moment. I finally learned how to laugh.
The great god of Datang has finally returned to being an ordinary person.
That performance was dedicated to Ol Chaun.
In all those performances, even though the Minniruns were played by the Nono tribe, there was never an actor who played ‘All Chaun’. He was always shown only in the form of fire, as if he were a transcendent being.
And the Nono tribe Kikari created a virtual transcendent being, a being that was the opposite of All Chaun in every way.
A great god who started from the bottom and eventually achieved greatness, Ol Chaun, but eventually fell to the small Nono by ruining the perfect world.
However, while the real Ol Chaun and his people were groaning in agony, the Nono people, who had lost everything, lived happily and were free from the fear of the Hanjutamal.
A story created with a virtual being. A black comedy created by assuming a virtual being that is the opposite of everything.
The lead actor of the last stage was not Kikari. It was Ol Chaun, who was not even on stage.
“Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Ahahahahahahahahaha!”
That’s why All Chaun laughed. That everything he had built up was nothing more than something that the nobody Nono could laugh at, that the nobody Nono had never been afraid of the things he had worked so hard to build up.
Uncontrollable laughter.
And, tears.
All Chaun laughed and sobbed at the same time. For the past fifteen thousand years, he had lived as if he had forgotten so much.
“Ah! The appearance of the captain!”
“It’s a breakaway! It’s the birth of the twelfth mine run!”
All Chaun suddenly got up and pointed at Kikari.
“Nononono Hakang!”
That title is nothing short of a joke.
“Kikari! You are now the twelfth Maini Run. As a member of the Nono tribe, you are the best actor, director, and theater troupe owner who has played the role of ‘Stupid Nono’. There is no greater title for you!”
“Hahaha! That’s what it was? Okay! From now on, I’m going to be nononononono! I’m going to bite my tongue! Anyway, it’s nonononono Hakang!”
And she took the drum and struck it vigorously. If she had been recognized as a mine-ni-run, there was no more restraint. To the delightful croaking of the frogs, she cheerfully unravels her mystery.
A performance that moved even the moon. This is how the twelfth Mainilun and the sixth Anlayer were born.
Nononono Hakang. He is the representative of the Nono tribe and the master of all stories. He performs and gathers stories that are obviously false to entertain people.
The era ends with the appearance of the twelfth minecraft run and the laughter of the all-nighters.
Now the era of myths is over. Now, even if we consider it prehistoric, a clear history is beginning to be written.
From now on, we have reached the era before ancient times. The era when history was just beginning to be written down. We have reached the ancient era.
And Datang calls this era, in which romantic stories were written in pursuit of a theme,
The age of legends has begun.
This is a review for Volume 4 (episodes 76-100). As always, you don’t have to read it.
-Questions and Answers-
There are quite a few questions in this volume.
Question 1. Why didn’t Liwaduwan and Patchar petition for tax relief or make diplomatic approaches before going to war?
Answer: I did it until I no longer expected to be heard. Unfortunately, the request did not reach Mainnirun.
Question 2. What is the lifespan of the Baekkan tribe?
Answer: There is a large difference by ethnicity, but it is around 60 to 100 years old.
Question 3. Isn’t this a fraudulent Iyakan? Daton appears once or twice every thousands of years, but they are selected as superhumans and saints?
Answer: It is explained in the work that Daton’s Mine Run is particularly strong, but it is incredibly difficult for an Iyakan to be a superhuman, and especially, if an Iyakan’s dragon dies while training, even a human’s level drops, so to speak, ‘balance’ is correct.
Question 4. Who are the pureblood Daton Mainiruns?
Answer: All Chaun, Manum Lapang, Kasul Laurent, Tatunang Marechi, and Osojoin Gulmung are pure-blooded Daturns and Mainirans. Since Anraier is not a superior concept to Mainirans but a separate concept, by the time of Volume 4, all of them, including those considered Anraier, are Mainirans and pure-blooded Daturns.
Question 5. What is the standard for this argument?
Answer: All Chaun and Mainirans, and the spirit masters who are currently not Mainirans but have received the title of ‘Chaun’, the ‘Dutans’ who have received the most powerful fire spirits, and the Wajins of the Shujor region and the Dataa of the Borins, are the ones who can and must report directly to All Chaun on political affairs.
Question 6. This is a world where the hollow Earth theory comes to mind. If aliens landed on the outskirts of this planet and dug the ground, would they discover this world?
Answer: It would depend on what shape the ‘land’ of this world is, right?
Question 7. In this celestial model of the world, the sun is always high in the sky, so how does night come?
Answer: When the sun is on the outer edge of the universe and is on the opposite side of the Earth, it is night. Conversely, on the other side, it is day.
-Saddam-
As with all web novels, this one has an editor, and I have been working with this editor for a long time, but this novel is an exception, and I am writing it as I please without any intervention.
Editor: How do I give feedback on articles like this!
Yeah. Of course I can’t do that… … Anyway, the cover came out, it became a paid series, and after half a year, I collapsed from periodic paralysis and then a cold. It was an eventful series.
-Race other than Daton-
In the previous review, Baekkan was said to be derived from a fictional ape, but it was changed to a dwarf + Gibbon. Since they have a completely unique position compared to fictional apes, I thought it would be better to use them as a motif for the most heterogeneous of all apes. They are a species that is inherently democratic.
Since Daton is the main character race anyway, we should give more weight to him, but if we don’t give more weight to the other ones, when Daton and them fight later, we can’t help but wonder why they are so strong, and how they developed so quickly.
So I’m dedicating a lot of time to it, and I’m trying to write it in a way that’s as fun as possible, wondering if readers will like it, but it’s not easy.
-Rejohui Medakbo-
SF writer friend: This Medakbo character is like the embodiment of social progress.
Well, that’s right. In fact, the mythical era was a chapter of great men. As it was a time to establish the foundation of the nation by putting forward key great men called Mainirun, it was necessary to continuously show more great men. At the same time, it was necessary to produce new types of great men every time.
In that sense, Lezohui Medakbo is the 10th MainiRun, and since the concept of an adult has been introduced, it really needed to look competent to anyone. I personally think it was really well made. The flow from text → administration → law → currency → rune magic using the medium of bees was smooth.
Everyone gave me a lot of compliments, and I feel a bit proud of myself. Ah, I did a good job.
Especially since Korean people know very well Prime Minister Hwang Hui who asked for permission to resign, it was a spontaneous decision to send out a character with that kind of feeling, but I think it turned out well.
To be honest, it felt like none of the characters in MinnieRun worked, but we needed at least one character who was obviously hard-working and good at his job.
-Diman Chaun & Mana Yupa-
In the 11th, there was not much to try, so I made another mistake. It’s the originator who failed to become a main run, and the incompetent successor who became a main run.
The first Mana School to be openly declared incompetent in governing was Mana Yup’s. The first person to fail to become a Mana School despite having made achievements in creating mysteries was Diman Chaun. The two are at odds.
I think everyone, including Mathematics and Laziness, and many readers, welcomed the appearance of ‘magic’, which they had been expecting. There were spiritism and sorcery, but no magic.
These days, magic is a meta that is expressed as something that is learned and used, so it is combined with mathematics, which is the pinnacle of study and theory.
It’s a worldview where if you study math hard, you can use magic. By the way, Diman Chaun was also smart, but she couldn’t use useful magic with the modern-high school level math she studied hard at… … I asked my friend who has a master’s degree in math for advice on this.
‘It’s very easy to understand math when someone else teaches you. What’s really important is problem-solving skills. There’s a world of difference between understanding the achievements of mathematicians like Euler and Gauss and actually achieving those achievements.’
‘Using magic is like solving a problem every time, so it provides knowledge to solve the problem and understand the problem, but it does not provide an algorithm to actually solve the problem, so how about saying that practicing magic is a process of becoming familiar with past exam questions?’
So in the world of the work, you can use magic with a high school math level, but even if you have college-level knowledge, it will be difficult to make a living with magic without at least the ability to think to write a math paper. My friend suggested that we divide them into ‘military magicians’, ‘scholar magicians’, and ‘magic engineers’. Anyway, if you solve past exam questions quickly and throw fireballs first, you will be talented in the military, and those who study practical magic will be different from those who study pure science.
So I adopted that setting.
Anyway, since Mana Yupa was so openly labeled as ‘incompetent’, I wanted to save some face. It was his girlfriend’s suggestion that he take charge of gambling.
In this fantasy world, even observatories can make money! The magic tower can make money on its own without having to rely on external sponsorship!
It’s not a good idea to make money this way, but anyway. I like it because it adds to the plausibility of why wizards build towers.
-That’s what was written on Iral Tata-
It would be a shame if they didn’t appear in the fantasy genre. There are various explanations for these beings in each work, but in this world, they are beings related to stars and space. The space in the work is actually inside the world, so it feels like a part of this world rather than an outside resident.
Personally, I think it came out really well with a lot of force. It didn’t become a boss in the mythical era for various reasons, but now that its fragments have been scattered, it’ll probably appear as powerful enemies in other eras.
What these are was sufficiently explained in the story, and the exit seems a bit vain, but… … I like it. In fact, it’s not that shameful in the world of the story that he trembled in fear and died as soon as he saw All Chaun and Datang Oram.
???: What the hell! It’s not shameful to lose to a strong person!
-The End of the Mythical Age-
In fact, the end of the mythical era was intended to end with the invention of writing. Since it was the end of the prehistoric era, it naturally ended from the point when history began to be written down.
And the last mine run was also supposed to appear a little earlier.
But the world in the work was a bit too dark for that. All Cha-woon showed was sadness, anger, hatred, and patience, and he couldn’t laugh properly.
That’s why I wanted to end it with a laugh. I seriously considered naming the last mine run Nika, but I barely held myself back.
-Review review-
Finally, the prehistoric era ended and we moved on to the ancient era, where history begins. The next era is, of course, the ancient era. I think the ancient era will be shorter or about the same length as the mythical era, but well. Original plans often go awry.
Thank you for reading so far! See you in the next volume review!
