Flesh Golem of the Labyrinth City - Chapter 40
39. That’s Not It
Mayerbridge Union is a colossal clan. True to its name, the initial members were a small group of warrior families who crossed the Myers River flowing northwest during the early days of the labyrinth city of Kalax and settled here.
Of course, there are no purebloods of the warrior families who crossed the Myers River in the current labyrinth city of Kalax, and the Mayerbridge Union clan does not discriminate based on ethnicity, race, or even species.
It’s said that the opening of the once-closed Meyerbridge Union, and the creation of the thriving clan it is today, was due to a love that transcended the boundaries of any single martyr’s race.
And there was a woman who had heard the story of that martyr since birth.
A born elf. Or rather, the rare, born half-elf woman, Raya Delbaheim, she *was* that martyr. The daughter of the third clan leader.
But here stood a stranger, unaware of any of this backstory.
“Huh, huh…?”
‘Shit, what the hell is this.’
The vice-commander of the second party of the mega-clan just suddenly pissed…? right in front of me. After doing it, she clutched her lower abdomen like she was wronged, with tears welling up in her eyes as she stared up at me.
“Um… Are you alright?”
“Hya, hyaaak!! Get away—!!”
“Ah, okay….”
I reached a hand out, but she opened her red lips and flapped her hands like a stray kitten just rescued, hissing at me.

The crotch of her pure-white pants, which clung to her skin, was soaked and damp with an unknown liquid.
Above the warm, steaming floor, Raya Delbaheim tried to stand up without help, putting force on her legs, but she grimaced and braced herself on the floor, only to fall again.
—Thump!
Splatter….
“Hee, heeiiitt…!!!”
She brought her mochi-like, pure-white backside down into the puddle of liquid. As the soft mass of flesh landed on the water with a bouncy thud, water droplets flew in all directions, once again asserting their presence.
—Thud.
A few drops splattered onto the new shoes that the medic had prepared. Before I knew it, I instinctively took a small step back and opened my mouth.
“I mean, that’s pee.”
“Oh, it’s not pee!!”
“What? If this isn’t pee-“
“It’s not pee!!!”
“Is that something you can just insist on?”
Raya’s face turned so red that even her long ears, thin neck, and even the backs of her hands and fingertips were as red as a carrot. Tears like chicken droppings rolled down her cheeks as she held back the sobs that were about to burst out.
After taking a couple of deep breaths, Raya Delvaheim finally stood up. Her legs trembled like a newborn fawn’s as she struggled to stand, clutching the side of the sofa with the thin heels of her white shoes.
—Click
Splash, splash…
With every step she took, there was the sound of water.
Raya, who had barely managed to stand up from the puddle she had made, looked at me, breathing heavily. Contrary to what the doctor had said about her lack of emotional change, she glared at me fiercely with eyes like daggers….
Isn’t this too unfair to me? It’s not like I have a skill that makes women wet themselves just by making eye contact. What does she expect me to do when she gets mad at me for something she did?
“Huff, huff…!!”
“Are, are you alright..?”
“Don’t come near me! You, you! What on earth-“
“Whoa.”
As Raya, who had risen awkwardly while breathing heavily, her right high heel twisted to the side, and she was about to fall. There was a low, rectangular wooden table next to her, and it was clear that if she fell wrong, it would be a major accident.
“Damn..!”
In that moment, my body reacted instinctively. I quickly darted out, reaching out just in time to catch her before she fell, wrapping my arms around her thin waist and pulling her into my embrace as we both fell together.
—Crash!!
“Ouch, that hurts.”
Falling onto the hard wooden floor without any cushioning, my back aches. Though light, the impact is heavy with the added weight of an adult woman.
As I squint open my tightly shut eyes, I see two white, warm rice cake ice creams pressed against my chest. Raya Delvaheim breathes warm breaths over them, her rabbit eyes wide open.
“Are you alri-“
And then.
Pshuuu…
“Ugh…”
I can distinctly feel my pants getting soaked with some warm liquid of unknown origin.
A golden shower during a hamburger game on our first meeting, what did I do to deserve this?
“Well.. I’ll keep it a sec-“
“Huuuh!!”
The next thing I remember is my vision suddenly going dark, and the stars in the night sky spinning in circles.
* * * * *
“What the…”
I got an amazing cheat skill. Whenever I lose consciousness, I wake up again in room 4 of the Meyerbridge Union main building’s infirmary. It’s an incredible regression skill.
“No way, damn it.”
When I open my eyes, I’m in the infirmary again. Of course, it’s not a regression skill. It seems I got knocked out by an elf girl named Raya Delvaheim, who has a golden shower fetish, and woke up here.
Well, I didn’t lose consciousness from a serious fight, so my body doesn’t hurt. It’s kind of funny that I’m wearing a patient gown again, but my lower right jaw feels a bit numb.
“Alright.”
I get up from the bed, check my body, and familiarly open the drawer to change clothes. The sky outside the window is pitch black, but since my body isn’t too stiff, it seems I only lost consciousness for a few hours, not a whole day.
When I open the door and step out, there’s a nurse I’ve never seen before, probably because the shift changed.
Crushed by fatigue, I barely managed to lift my heavy eyelids and sat waiting in the lobby.
“Excuse me, I’m awake now.”
“Oh, ah. You’re awake? How are you feeling?”
“Yes. I’ve changed into the hospital gown. What did they instruct from above?”
“Um, just a moment. You’re in room 4, right?”
Having done it once, I finished the task very familiarly. The nurse called the attending physician, who was still working.
“We meet often. Did you get some rest?”
“Haha, yes. I have a compressed sleep skill, so a two-hour nap is enough to relieve my fatigue.”
“That’s an enviable skill.”
Compressed sleep skill? I’m really envious. It would be great if I had something like that. Not that I’m particularly short on time.
I gathered my courage and asked the attending physician.
“So… what did Delvaheim say?”
“He didn’t say much. I haven’t received any specific reports either, just that Explorer Aven suddenly collapsed during the conversation. They said you hit your lower jaw on the floor when you fell.”
“Yes… that’s right.”
“This time, he left a letter. Please read it and follow the nurse.”
“Understood. Thank you.”
After a brief greeting, I moved on, guided by another nurse.
When I opened the letter, there were simple instructions.
‘In summary, it means don’t come too close.’
This time, I’m going to a different place. Not the grand building I entered last time, but a place that feels like a reception room for guests.
“Well then, I’ll be off.”
“Yes, take care.”
With the nurse’s guidance, I stood in front of the door. This time, there was no door knocker, so I knocked on the door with my hand.
—Heek..! Pl-please come in..!
“Uh.. I’m coming in.”
Beyond the thick door, I could easily hear the small, flustered voice of Raya Delvaheim.
—Creak
When I opened the door and looked inside, I saw Raya Delvaheim huddled by the left wall, wrapped tightly in a white blanket, with the fireplace crackling and burning.
She, still curled up, reached out from within the blanket and pointed to the opposite wall, speaking to me.
“Y-you’re here. Please go to the far end of that wall. You must stay close to it.”
“Yes. Understood.”
The opposite wall, without a fireplace and filled with bookshelves, felt chilly. Sitting by the warm fireplace with a blanket all to herself, isn’t that a bit much?
Screech-
There was an expensive-looking chair by the right wall. Though there was no table, I pulled the chair out, turned it towards the fireplace, and sat down.
“Um.. hello?”
“…I’m not well.”
“Haha, yes.”
And then, silence. This situation. So uncomfortable.
I have no idea how to continue the conversation. Honestly, what did I do wrong? Isn’t it the person who suddenly peed themselves upon seeing someone’s face who’s at fault? I even got punched.
Of course, being an understanding and considerate person who doesn’t unnecessarily expose others’ embarrassment, I didn’t say much about that part.
“Ah, um. Right, are you feeling any better?”
“Hrk… I’m fine…”
It felt like a reply from a knight held captive by an orc. I haven’t done a single thing, which feels incredibly unfair.
‘Huh? Orc?’
Orc? Come to think of it, when that noble Raya Delbahaim-nim discharged that…not-urine substance, I think I said something.
“O-oh! O…Orc in heat…!!”
“Hiiiyaaat!! What on earth are you saying! Are you, are you mentally ill?!”
“A-no! That’s not it, Raya Delbahaim! Did you say you have an Orc in Heat skill?!”
“Kyaaak!!!”
Fucking hell, that’s it! Orc in Heat! What kind of skill is that?! No, more importantly, why haven’t I erased that skill yet..!
Now that I think about it, I’m using an orc chieftain’s muscles all over my body! Is that why?!
“That’s it! This might sound a bit weird, but… I’m an orc!”
“O-orc!! You were an orc?! This can’t be! An orc with a humanization skill!”
“Ah, no. That’s not it. I was born a human.”
What, suddenly making my mother an orc.
“B-but didn’t you just say you were an orc?!”
“That’s not it, I mean I gained orc characteristics through a skill. Just wait a second.”
All I need to do is use the muscles of a different being instead of an orc. Are there any other muscles I can use right now? Most of the muscles I have are screaming in agonizing pain.
Still, desperate times call for desperate measures. I have to use different muscles for now.
“Please, just wait a moment.”
“Wh-wh-what in the world are you trying to do!?”
“No, I’m not going over there.”
I lay my body down on the long sofa in the center of the reception room and shifted all the muscles in my body back to their original state. No traces of orc organs remained. That should do it.
“Hh, hhuh..! Keuk!”
Muscle pain radiated all throughout my body. It’s screaming to be killed, and a voice full of pain involuntarily spills out.
“Hh… Come over here for a moment.”
“Y-you lecher! Madman! Insane person!”
“But, why?”
Raya Delbaheim, wrapped in a blanket, is facing the wall and shouting at the top of her lungs.
“Suddenly lying down on the sofa and making suggestive moans! And then telling me to come closer, what is the meaning of this!”
“Ah, um. That’s not it.”
Oh, jeez.
