First of all, thank you for your support, and editor Liu Xing.
He and I discussed it for a long time. I was originally planning to change my career to write Ultraman fan fiction, but starting from Super Eight, he decided.
Indeed, if you think about it carefully, writing Ultraman fan fiction would not have achieved the results it has achieved now.
All I know about Ultraman is from Showa and Heisei. I haven’t seen much of it in the New Generation, and it’s difficult to write about it.
Then came this comic book. I didn’t think about it for long, maybe a day or two.
Mainly to learn the lessons from the previous book.
As I write this, I feel like I am taking inventory.
Half of the book is about things in the original work, and the daily life is not well established.
So the more I wrote, the more constrained I became. In the end, I had nothing to write about and could only scrape the finish.
Therefore, in this book, the content of the original work has been carefully selected and written.
Try to keep the proportion as low as possible.
As for some people saying it’s too watery, there’s nothing you can do about it.
One very bad thing about copywriting comics is that the time span of the works is too long.
If you don’t write about reality, then a few years will pass and it will become too empty. In fact, eight months have passed since I wrote this.
Some readers suggested drawing pirates and Naruto.
But it is simply unrealistic. After all, the time span is easily more than ten years, and there is no other work to write.
The works I have temporarily selected are basically between 2 and 5 years old, which is quite a long time.
Unless you start working on light novels and games at the same time, and establish a two-dimensional empire.
But it doesn’t match the tone of the book, the focus is still on comics.
My initial idea was that when comics and animation are combined, the animation is the Asahina line. The protagonist writes the script and she serves as the supervisor. This eliminates the need for the protagonist to work hard and can increase the number of copied works in the novel.
This is also the reason why “Hey-Come Out” was animated.
This line will continue later, too, for now.
The comics will be serialized for a long time + short stories will be published in parallel.
This is the journey of my book.
I think it’s done well in these aspects, but the emotional line is still not well written.
On the one hand, I didn’t write down the sense of progression step by step. I was too anxious and always wanted to make something big, so it was incomprehensible for everyone to read.
After reading “The Garden of Words” carefully, I felt the emotional push of Makoto Shinkai, and even more felt that what I wrote was bullshit.
I’m making progress with each book, so let’s see if it gets better with the next one.
Thousands of people tomorrow.
After that, daily updates will be 8,000 for the first month.
The author is a handicap, so I won’t mention any additional updates.
It’s hard for me to do that too. T_T
