Hogwarts Kryptonian - Chapter 44 The Journey to Roots
Lu Yunkai climbed out of bed early the next morning, took out all the Hogwarts luggage from his backpack, and came to Diagon Alley.
It’s not that he wants to buy anything here, but he wants to see if there’s anything valuable.
The ten-digit balance in the system looked thrilling, but Lu Yunkai didn’t know how to spend it, so he planned to go shopping in Diagon Alley first to see what was there.
Otherwise, according to the system’s introduction to grasping every detail and the stupid filtering function, Lu Yunkai really couldn’t think of anything he could get to defend himself.
Although he didn’t tell Krismin, Lu Yun happily knew that going to Liverpool this time was not that safe.
He could no longer expect the Explosive Corrosion Potion to work as well as it did when he faced the mountain monster last time. After all, what he had to face was most likely a Death Eater who had been looking for his adoptive father, rather than a slow-moving idiot.
Unlike last year when he was shopping in Diagon Alley and kept looking at the price tags, this year Lu Yunkai, who had money in his pocket, only looked at the items and not the prices. But even so, after shopping around, Lu Yunkai returned to the Leaky Cauldron less than an hour later.
Apart from a mask that could confuse his appearance in front of Muggles, Lu Yunkai didn’t see anything useful.
“These wizards have magic, and their creativity is appallingly low! God knows if they can fool Muggles with just such a thing!”
Sitting on the recliner in the room, Lu Yunkai played with the mask he just bought from the system and complained.
“Meow, you know magic, what kind of props can you use!” Chris looked down on Lu Yunkai with a nonchalant look, “If you want to use the magic spell well, do you still need to spend money to buy these things?”
“There’s no way, the wand won’t work.” Lu Yunkai immediately changed the topic back to his area of expertise.
“Meow, do you want to go to Knockturn Alley? There might be some good things there.” Chrissy was already used to Lu Yunkai’s routine and didn’t accept it at all.
“I have such a notebook in my arms, and you want me to go to Knockturn Alley? Aren’t you afraid of being killed and cheated by someone who knows the goods?” Lu Yun gave Chris a white look.
“This is also a problem.” Chris nodded, “When you go to Liverpool, do you have to take this thing with you?”
“Of course! Could it be placed in the Leaky Cauldron? Then I might as well leave it in Hogwarts for safety.”
“Meow, that’s right.” Chris became more and more embarrassed, “Then what are you going to do?”
“There’s nothing I can do. As long as I’m not in a mixed-race place like Knockturn Alley, I’ll be safer with this thing.”
“Meow? It’s good that this notebook won’t kill you. Can it also protect you?”
“Voldemort entrusted me with a very important matter in the dungeon.” Lu Yun smiled, “Real Death Eaters would not dare to attack me rashly, and they would even have to secretly protect me. I’m afraid It was never them, it was those who felt that this notebook was a treasure and wanted to snatch it up and sell it to Bojin Bock.”
“Meow? What did Voldemort ask you to do?”
“Help him resurrect!”
“Meow?! Are you going to help him?”
“I didn’t agree!” Lu Yunkai spread his hands, “But I didn’t refuse either, because this notebook still hasn’t admitted that it is Voldemort.”
“Meow? Are you playing word games with it here?”
“You’re kidding! How could I agree to something so important without confirming it again and again?” Lu Yunkai said in a serious tone, “Of course, these are what I plan to say to the Death Eaters. As for what will happen… let’s see Condition.”
“I’m warning you, meow! If you become a Death Eater, I will be the first to let you go!”
“Don’t worry!” Lu Yunkai looked at Chris’s anxious look, smiled, and said seriously: “If I was very poor, maybe I could still be bribed by Voldemort, but he can no longer afford me. Besides, I’m a Muggle, and it’s so difficult for Slytherin College to accept me. How can a noble Death Eater like me?”
“That’s what I say, but you should be careful. Voldemort is very capable of bewitching people!”
“I won’t give him such a chance.” Lu Yun stood up directly, “I’m going to leave now, just wait for my news at the bar!”
“Meow? You won’t take me with you?”
“I have to take the Muggle train. It’s very troublesome to bring a cat up there! I’m just going to Liverpool to get some things that belong to me. I’ll go back as soon as possible.”
“Meow, you must be careful on the road!”
Hearing what Lu Yunkai said, Chris could only watch with worry as Lu Yunkai picked up his backpack and walked out of the room.
After saying hello to Tom, Lu Yunkai walked out of the front door of the Leaky Cauldron. Putting on the mask with the confusion spell, in the eyes of Muggles, Lu Yunkai is now a young man who looks to be in his mid-twenties, with curly blond hair that looks a little messy, but not sloppy.
He reached out and stopped a passing taxi.
“Euston Square Station.”
Lu Yunkai said lightly.
“Yes sir.”
The taxi driver nodded politely.
Lu Yunkai smiled slightly.
Well, although these wizards are too lazy to invent new things, they still make pretty good stuff.
…
Four hours later, it was just past noon, and Lu Yunkai was already sitting in a dessert shop on the street in Liverpool.
Although wearing a mask for four hours was somewhat uncomfortable, neither the taxi driver nor the ticket inspector on the train noticed that he was just an eleven-year-old boy. This made Lu Yunkai temporarily confused. No thought of taking it off.
He bought a map when he just left the train station, and now he was drinking black tea and eating choking scones while pointing carefully on the map.
He was looking for the house that appeared in his mind after he drank the powerful anti-curse potion and broke the spell cast by his adoptive father on him.
It used to be the home of his adoptive father Slughorn, and Lu Yunkai planned to go back and have a look. Because in his memory, after coming to England from the distant East, when he was six years old, he once left an object that came with him from the East at home.
In fact, as far as Lu Yunkai was concerned, he had no intention of digging it out, but he couldn’t resist the urge to dig it out.
It seems that the child who is no longer there is still obsessed with this incident.
So, Lu Yun came.
And he was really curious about what was so special about an orphan who would be adopted by a great wizard who was famous in England.
Thanks to that bottle of potion, some details that Lu Yunkai might not have remembered clearly could be vividly remembered.
Next to the coast, a three-minute walk from the port, you can see seagulls and containers. There are supermarkets nearby but no restaurants…
Lu Yunkai drew three circles on the map, all of which were possible locations. He planned to wait until dark before riding a broom to check.
It was still early, and Lu Yunkai found that he seemed to have nothing to do.
After thinking for a while, he took out the notebook from his arms.
He spread it out and wrote a line of words on it.
–
Do you know where I am?
soon.
–
If you don’t tell me, how will I know?
–
Are you really not using Legilimency on me anymore?
–
I promised you that you don’t have to, so I don’t have to. I always mean what I say.
–
Well, if you didn’t have this trait, you probably wouldn’t have so many people following you.
Lu Yunkai wrote a line of words with great interest.
The words disappeared quickly, but the answer did not appear for a long time.
–
Why didn’t you answer?
Lu Yunkai smiled and wrote another line.
–
Do you know who I am? –
Another one you told me. And he wants me to help you, which means he can resurrect himself.
–
Did you agree? You don’t look like that.
–
Because I am a Muggle, and it is well known that Death Eaters hate Muggle-born wizards.
Once again, replies were slow to come.
–
I promise that if you can help me come back to life, you will be one of us.
–
Well, I believe in your promise.
Lu Yunkai finished writing the last sentence and closed the notebook.
He breathed a sigh of relief and then looked out the French window.
What he wants is the notebook, which is the promise Voldemort made to him. With these words, it meant that Lu Yunkai had a talisman. As long as those Death Eaters didn’t kill him as soon as they met, he would be sure to survive.
The place was chosen and the amulet was prepared.
Why isn’t it dark yet?
