How the Prince Makes Friends - Chapter 102

Episode 102
Evan said as he strode up to the fifth floor where Lianus’ bedroom was, with Nihil under his arm.
“Salt, please take care of the prince’s health. He was so tired after going to the palace library that I brought him here, but he fell asleep in the carriage.”
“…….”
“It seems like you have a slight fever…….”
“…….”
“You took your medicine in the carriage this morning… but did you take it too late?”
“…….”
“…Why is there no answer?”
“…….”
When Evan heard no response, he stopped and picked up Nihil from his side, examining his face.
In fact, Nihil kept nodding, but Evan didn’t notice because he was tucked into his side. Since there were still servants around, Nihil didn’t open his mouth and just nodded again.
Evan raised an eyebrow at Nihil’s actions, expressing his doubts, but since the prince came first, he moved on again.
The bedroom table was piled high with books he had borrowed. Evan walked past the table and walked over to the bed where Rianus was sleeping, and immediately grabbed Nihil.
“Quickly.”
“…….”
Nihil thought as he looked at Lianus, who was right in front of him, dangling in the air.
How confused would the child be if he opened his eyes in this state?
Nihil first felt the pulse of the sleeping Lianus in order to calm the dog who was unable to make rational judgments. As expected, he was just asleep.
I had a slight fever, but it wasn’t serious, and I couldn’t help feeling drowsy because I was still tired from the experiential learning and the medicine was having some effect.
‘Now that I think about it, it’s time to return the ‘fruit’ I brought.’
Nihil tapped Evan’s hand on the back of his neck, signaling for him to come down, thinking that when Rianus woke up, he might notice his physical condition.
“Is Your Majesty very ill?”
Nihil shook his head at Evan’s question and crawled onto the bed. Then he slowly crawled under the covers and lay down next to Rianus, hugging him tightly.
“……What are you doing?”
“…….”
Nihil closed his eyes without ignoring Evan. He was planning to take a deep breath himself. The puppy would take care of the afternoon classes. Sleep was the best medicine when you were sick.
“……A cat?”
“…….”
“hey.”
“…….”
“Are you sleeping…?”
Evan called out to Nihil and carefully touched him. He was truly asleep, but his frail body simply trembled under Evan’s touch without moving at all.
Evan laughed in disbelief. I brought the prince here to check on him, but he just crawled in next to me and fell asleep… …. Still, he was only thinking seriously about himself, and he felt a little relieved because the prince seemed to be fine.
Evan told the butler that he would be skipping the prince’s afternoon classes and then started to watch the two sleeping little ones.

As Nihil opened his eyes, the large hand that was about to pinch his cheek flinched and withdrew. His cheek was already slightly numb from having been pinched several times.
Nihil stroked his slightly reddened cheek a few times and then opened his mouth as if it didn’t matter.
“What time is it?”
“2 o’clock…, 45 minutes.”
If the afternoon classes had proceeded as scheduled, it would have been almost time to wrap up. Nihil felt proud that he had successfully gotten Rianus out of bed, and looked through the books and materials Rianus had borrowed from the palace library.
Nihil read the books and materials he had borrowed, intending to make Rianus use his head less, and marked useful passages with bookmarks.
Not long after, Rian woke up, rubbed his eyes, and asked what time it was.
“It’s 3:20.”
“What? What about afternoon classes?”
The seaweed jumped in surprise.
“I contacted you.”
“Why didn’t you wake me up!”
“This guy did it.”
Evan said, stretching Nihil’s cheek. Nihil smiled as if he didn’t know anything and hugged Rianus tightly as Rianus looked at him with wide eyes. The innocent kitten laughed bashfully, saying that was good.
“He said he would make up for it on a separate day when he had time.”
“huh.”
“Aren’t you hungry?”
“Well, I’m fine.”
“then…….”
Just as Evan was about to say, ‘Then I will instruct you to bring dinner up early,’ Nihil quickly shook his head.
The cat wouldn’t be the type to ask for food just because he didn’t eat, so it must have meant to feed the prince.
Evan made excuses for the guy again.
“This guy hasn’t had lunch either. How about we eat together?”
“Huh? Neil, you haven’t had lunch?”
Nihil nodded coolly.
“I clearly told the butler to make sure to take care of it!”
“It’s not your fault, sir. The boy didn’t eat because he was sleeping.”
“okay?”
“Yeah. I was so sleepy.”
If you’re sleepy, you should sleep. Of course.
Since Rianus had promised his friend that he would make sure to feed him at least his meals, he quickly called the butler and asked him to prepare a light meal for him. He then got out of bed and looked through the materials he had borrowed from the palace library. He had to do his homework diligently since he had fallen asleep and missed class.
While Lianus was looking through the materials, he saw some bookmarks he had never seen before and asked Nihil.
“Neil, is this what you marked?”
“huh.”
“amazing!”
Lianus continued to admire the sections Nihil had marked. Not only had he seen all of the vast data in just two hours, but he had also clearly distinguished between the necessary and useless information.
I think my best friend is a genius.
Nihil had only been looking at the data for about 30 minutes, but Lianus didn’t know.
While the kitten was concentrating on his homework, Evan, who remembered something, quietly lifted Nihil up and sat him down at the table. Then he brought out a piece of paper and a pen and started writing something down.
-They say the bird of this morning is the prime minister’s bird.
-His Majesty has ordered not to kill the bird.
-The target seems to be you, so do whatever you want.
-For your information, the prime minister is His Majesty’s closest confidant.
Nihil frowned as he read the text, seemed to be pondering something, and then began to write down the text.
-Aren’t you upset?
“…Why are you worried about that?”
Evan laughed in vain at Nihil’s concern.
Nihil continued writing.
-If I hadn’t told you, you wouldn’t have killed him so easily.
-I just did what I had to do. So what do you want to do?
-I’ll avoid the bird on my own, so you just pretend you don’t know.
Evan wondered if he was being too careless with the prime minister of a country, but he nodded, thinking that it wouldn’t be a big problem since the prime minister had a gentle personality, and threw the paper they had written into the fireplace to burn it.
Soon the butler came up with the meal.
Lianus had been eating half-heartedly while thinking about his plan, and only after Nihil stole his data did he start eating properly. The butler who was serving him the meal smiled kindly at him.
As soon as the meal was over, Nihil shoved some medicine into Lianus’ hand.
“Eek…….”
Although Lianus had a rather pitiful expression on his face, Nihil did not spare him. He was worried that he would get seriously ill if he skipped his medicine while he was unable to get enough rest.
Rianus also had no intention of really refusing the medicine given by Nihil, so he closed his eyes tightly and swallowed the pill. A bitter smell rose, but he smiled bashfully at the candy that entered his mouth. Rianus continued to concentrate on writing the plan until the sun set.
After checking Rianus’ pulse and temperature, Nihil continued writing in the diary he had written in the morning.
“What are you writing?”
“diary.”
“…diary?”
Evan was curious about the word diary, so he walked over to it and started reading it. Then he made a face.
“What kind of diary is this!”
Evan yelled at the contents of the diary, which was more like a patient observation sheet or a prescription. But the wildcat paid no attention to the criticism and continued to write down in detail what he claimed was a diary.
Nihil went back to his room, saying he had to make some potion, and soon a yellow bird appeared with a pretty dark green ribbon on its neck.
The bird circled the palace and headed towards Nihil’s room at the back, but as soon as it spotted Evan, it landed on the terrace railing of Lianus’ bedroom, its dark green ribbon fluttering long.
Evan was momentarily speechless at the attention paid to the prime minister’s actions. He looked up and down at him with anticipation, but he felt a little pity for the lynx, who didn’t seem to want to meet him.
As Evan cautiously reached out, the bird quickly landed on Evan’s finger. However, the bright eyes that had been filled with anticipation soon turned to disappointment in front of Nihil’s room.
– Visiting the temple
In front of Nihil’s room there was a piece of paper with large letters written on it so that anyone could read it.
Evan couldn’t believe that Nihil would treat his prime minister so openly and laughed in disbelief.
The prime minister’s bird became gloomy and knocked on the door with its beak for no reason. It seemed to be full of regret, but it didn’t insist on opening the door, as if it had no intention of forcing the meeting.
Meanwhile, Nihil was watching the bird’s behavior right behind the door. If he had been pressuring it with his position as prime minister, he would have mercilessly twisted its neck, but he was not overbearing and he was quite pleased that it had even come with a dark green ribbon.
Nihil changed his mind and opened the door very slowly so as not to hurt the little bird that was knocking foolishly.
Through the slightly opened door, his eyes met with a small bird’s. The bird, whose eyes met Nihil’s, stopped and remained still for a while before hopping over and slowly closing the distance. When Nihil reached out his hand, the bird quickly climbed onto his hand and began to act cute, rubbing its face against his palm.
Nihil waved his hand, telling Evan to go back. Evan looked puzzled, but turned around after seeing the cute bird.
‘Well, I guess it’s okay.’
Click, the door closed.

“Oh, Sadie. The kid opened the door!”
Abel, who was greatly disappointed when he saw the words ‘Delegation of Visitors’, spoke in a fuss.
Sedes nodded his head in agreement, thinking that it was a great relief, as he had been worried that Abel’s work efficiency would decline.
“uh…….”
Then the chattering voices suddenly stopped and silence flowed.
Sethe, who found this strange, raised his head and looked at Abel.
“But why.”
Abel, who had been sharing the bird’s eye view, stood there blankly for a moment before suddenly sitting up.
“Seddie! It’s not a color that can be expressed with such a flimsy word as ‘colorful’!”
“……Why is the word ‘variegated’ so sloppy?”
Sedes frowned, saying he had simply expressed the facts as they appeared.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but why don’t you try to develop your expressiveness a bit?”
“…her.”
