How the Reincarnation Seat Destroys the Original - Chapter 31

Episode 31. The reincarnated person’s report (1).
Mabel’s life in Bangkok.
According to the servants, ‘the young lady’s life in seclusion’ began with what Lily heard while bringing Mabel a piece of paper.
“Lily. Tell Hugo to tell Kael that I’ll be eating breakfast in my room for the time being!”
“yes?”
Since Kael had never mentioned the disaster to anyone, Mabel naturally couldn’t tell him about it either.
The servants, including Lily, Hugo, and Tariq, who were unaware of this fact, could only interpret it as, ‘The count and the young lady had a big fight, and the young lady was very upset!’
Fortunately, Kael and Mabel had had minor clashes before, so the servants thought they would return the next day as usual. But that thought was put aside and sent straight to the sky. No, to the trash can.
“Miss, I’ll help you get ready to go to the restaurant.”
“Uh… No. I want to eat in my room.”
Day 1 of living in a chipmunk house.
Lily, who had visited to help Mabel get ready for the dining hall in time for breakfast, thought she would be okay now that she was awake, but had to take Mabel’s meal to her room.
Mabel’s room was neatly organized by the usual staff, but on Mabel’s desk, there was a small hill of crumpled papers, and under the desk, there were scattered pieces of disassembled maps.
“Lily! Sorry for bothering you so early in the morning!”
“No. It’s something I have to do.”
Lily woke up in her room and opened her mouth slightly involuntarily when she saw Mabel sitting in front of her messy desk.
Miss, you’re awake at this hour? I should have always woken you up myself to help you get ready for bed, since you’re always a sleepy lady…?
Just before entering the room, Lily saw Mabel hastily putting some papers in the desk drawer as the door opened.
“Miss. You didn’t sleep?”
“Huh? No! I slept. I just slept a little less than usual.”
Perhaps because of her pale skin, or perhaps because it made her eyes stand out even more, dark shadows were clearly visible under Mabel’s eyes, as if she had stayed up all night.
Let’s put the plates on the table so that Lily can eat comfortably. Mabel yawned occasionally while eating breakfast, and tilted her head back and forth while holding her spoon, then straightened it up repeatedly.
Because of that, the young lady I was serving would bury her face in the plate of still warm food. Lily had to watch with bated breath until Mabel finished her breakfast.
“Ugh… I can’t do this. Lily, when it’s time for class, will you wake me up?”
Mabel, who had finished her breakfast, finally surrendered to the sleep that was creeping in. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, Lily quickly answered her request with a yawn, hoping that Mabel would change her mind.
“Please let me do that.”
“Yeah, yeah. Then, I have a favor to ask… .”
Mabel stumbled over to the bed and fell asleep before Lily, who had gathered her plates and trays, could even leave the room.
– Dororong…
Although cute, Lily, who had been watching her daughter fall asleep with a strange snoring, covered Mabel with a blanket before leaving the room.
Mabel, who had eaten breakfast that morning and fallen asleep, was woken up by Lily when it was time for class. After attending class, she went back to her room as soon as class was over and never showed up outside again.
“I’ll be eating lunch and dinner in my room for the time being. Snacks are okay too! Don’t wake me up before class tomorrow. I have something to do. Don’t worry too much!”
“miss….”
Before entering the room, Lily looked at the tightly closed door with a worried face, thinking about what Mabel had said, wondering if her young lady would call her or come looking for her.
“What on earth do you have to do…?”
But as time passed, no voices were heard from outside the door, and Lily stood guard in front of the door, mumbling words with a thin sigh.
It was also around that time that Damie’s servants began to feel something unusual.
It was the afternoon after class time. Usually, the small footsteps and bright laughter of the author Damie walking around here and there were not heard.
“Hey! Miss, you didn’t come to the kitchen today?”
“Not yet. Lily should have come by now to get the lady a snack, but she hasn’t come yet. Maybe she went to the garden?”
“I didn’t even see you in the garden.”
“Haven’t you seen the other guys?”
“I saw you on your way to and from class.”
The time Mabel was wandering around was when the servants were eating lunch or taking a break after eating. So many servants gathered and asked each other about the young lady’s whereabouts.
As the questions and answers piled up, the users made various guesses such as, “Is the young lady not feeling well?”, “Does she have a lot of homework?”, etc., and at that moment.
– Bam!
“Shaaa …
Inside the kitchen where the servants were gathered. There was a servant who opened the door with a rough hand and came in. At the urgent voice, the people gathered in the kitchen in small groups stood up from their seats, and the servant’s face, which was faced with this scene, briefly showed a look of regret, but soon opened his mouth with a serious expression at the important news rather than an apology.
“They say the Count and the young lady had an argument!”
The first to react to the servant’s words was the chef of the Damier family, called ‘Sap’.
He answered the news brought by the servant with an indifferent expression as if to say, ‘Why did you make such a fuss about that?’
“It’s not uncommon for you two to argue. Anyway, I’m sure you’ll both get over it today or tomorrow.”
Several servants nodded their heads at Shep’s words. However, the servant who brought the rumor beat his chest and shouted in frustration.
“They fought so much that the young lady even shed tears!”
The air in the kitchen suddenly became still at the sound of the shouts that followed.
Our young lady cried?
Of course, our Count is giving off an atmosphere that is difficult even for adults to properly face… but if that were the reason, the young lady would have burst into tears long ago.
Next to Hugo, Chef Shap, who had been in the Damier household since the Viscount’s childhood, stroked his chin, which had been pushed back smoothly for the sake of hygiene in cooking.
“The young lady cried. Is that certain information?”
“She hasn’t been seen since she came out of the Viscount’s office yesterday and was carried away by Butler Hugo. Those who saw her on her way to class today said that her eyes were red and swollen, so that’s for sure!”
Fortunately, there was a maid there who saw the young lady enter and leave class, and Shep looked at the maid as if to ask if what the maid was saying was true.
“Oh, come to think of it, Miss, you seem to be feeling less energetic than usual today. Maybe you didn’t get enough sleep. You look tired too…?”
“See! Shh, am I right?”
The servant who delivered the news to the maid looked at Shep with a proud look, and Shep looked around at the servants with a sigh.
“Unless the Count and Lady tell you directly, it’s all speculation. And Butler Hugo hasn’t said anything either. Everyone, stop talking nonsense.”
Anyway, because of the oath, there was no need to worry about this story leaking out of the Damie house, but there was an internal atmosphere separate from the outside.
– Crack!
“Okay, now that everyone has had enough rest, let’s get back to work as usual!!!”
She dismissed the servants with a round of applause, and let out a small sigh as she looked at the covered tray containing the cute desserts on one side of the kitchen.
?What? The chef’s name is What??
?Isn’t the name weird? No! It suits me perfectly!!! Hmm… Well, it’s a name that anyone who hears it can tell that I’m a chef!?
?Sheep-! What’s for snack today??
?Today was totally the best!!!?
It seemed like it was going to be a long day, thought Shep, and the servants of the Damie family also grumbled that time was passing more slowly than usual.
All they could hear was the small footsteps and bright laughter of the writer moving around here and there. Even though there were more days when they didn’t hear those sounds, the servants realized that as time passed by particularly slowly, they had come to like the young lady.
The person responsible for giving the users an unintended awakening.
If Mabel had heard of the fact that the ‘lady’ was currently locked in her room, quickly writing something on a piece of paper with her hand holding a quill pen, she would have felt quite wronged.
“The items that Damie handles… were in the boxes that were given to the servants, and these were these…”
Because Mabel was writing a report to show to Kael.
The day I met Kael. The reason I was writing a report while spending all my time sleeping, playing, and even eating snacks was simple. I didn’t have time.
The disaster would strike the empire within two or three weeks.
I couldn’t tell anyone else that I was writing a report to convince Kael that he needed to prevent a disaster and save people.
All of the writer’s employees made a pact that they could not reveal any stories that happened within the writer’s household, especially those with the last name ‘Damie’.
As with everything, there were variables, and the disaster would shake the minds of the employees and even affect their work.
“Is this also one of the reasons Kael doesn’t speak?”
The biggest reason is probably ‘because it’s annoying’.
“Oh my, I never thought I’d miss my ballpoint pen….”
Muttering to herself, Mabel put down the uncomfortable quill for a moment, stretched out her arms, and looked at the neatly written letters on the paper.
Is it because there are no ballpoint pens in this world? Is it because of the hand of a young child? The thickness of the ink used to write was not consistent, and naturally, it looked crooked.
Mabel rationalized that she couldn’t help it because it wasn’t a fountain pen but a quill pen, and smiled proudly as she looked at the reports that were piling up one by one.
At this rate, it seemed like I could finish the report in a day or two.
“I really hope Kael changes his mind….”
Mabel muttered worriedly and picked up the quill she had put down. And on the third day of her life in hiding, Mabel was able to deliver the completed report to Kael.
