I Married the Beautiful Female Protagonist In Order To Survive - Chapter 638
3. Surprised or not, thrilled or not!?
The next day, my entire day was completely “occupied” by the queen.
In the queen’s words: Since you’ve already “fed” your fiancée, it’s time to fulfill your duties as a master to your fairy now~
This sounded like an excuse just to monopolize me! However, the Kefir who would have absolutely stopped my sister from such “outrageous behavior” in the past was now surprisingly “at ease.” Kefir, your heart is a bit too big, isn’t it? You seem to think that what should happen between us has already happened, allowing you to be “calm and composed,” but all the pressure has fallen squarely on my shoulders!
Trying to hold my ground against the queen’s serious advances was hellishly difficult! After all, if pure Kefir is an angel, then the queen is undoubtedly a seductress from the demon realm, and she can only be described in two words: alluring.
Her reasoning was quite sound: because I am the master, and she is the fairy. Usually, I never see her doing anything fairy-like, but when it comes to leveraging that identity for her own convenience, the queen plays it to perfection.
“Master~ What should I wear when I go out today? Help me choose~ Starting from the innermost underwear~”
“Do you really know how to dress a girl? You need to hold my waist a bit tighter, then hug me closer; only then can I tie the strings properly~ Do you want to see your fairy embarrass herself outside, Master~”
“Be careful not to apply too much lip gloss; I don’t want to turn into some red-lipped monster~ Be cautious, Master, if you apply it too heavily, you’ll have to lick off the excess with your mouth~”
And that was just the events of the morning. As for the rest of the day, the queen, all dressed up, took me through a variety of activities that made me feel an unbearable mix of embarrassment and restlessness just thinking about it.
Fortunately, the queen’s behavior, seemingly a form of revenge for “that night” with Kefir, finally came to an end at sunset, when the crescent moon replaced the sun. The queen, linking her arm with mine, returned to the capital of the Great Yīng Empire, showing no intention of letting go even upon seeing Kefir.
However, Kefir now was nothing like before; she didn’t mind at all. Instead, she naturally linked her other arm with mine and leaned forward, smiling at the queen, “Sister Wang, how was today’s experience?”
“……”
This was clearly a blatant provocation towards the queen! The queen immediately lost interest in teasing me.
Fortunately, this troublesome scene didn’t last long, as tonight, the queen and I had other matters to attend to upon returning to the capital of the Great Yīng Empire.
As night fell, the moonlit fairy, Iris, had quietly been waiting for our arrival in the back garden.
Upon seeing the scene of me with the two women, the moon fairy first shook her head in disappointment, as if feeling “ashamed of my lack of progress,” and then, as we approached, she looked at the queen and let out a cold laugh.
“Not bad, Louise, your wings have grown strong, and you’ve learned to show off.”
The current queen had severed ties with the Moon Fairy, which meant she was no longer constrained by it, and her attitude had become considerably more assertive.
Though to me, this attitude resembled that of a rebellious child towards their mother.
“Are you jealous, Iris?”
“Hmph, I don’t have time to compete for men like you do. Enough, come here.”
The queen approached Iris, who cast a few glances at me and Kephiel.
“You two seem to have the support of your respective discipline fairies. To have Plouce and the troublesome discipline fairies from Austria-Hungary lend you their strength, regardless of how you did it, I must commend you both. By the way…”
As she spoke, Iris tilted her head, scrutinizing me and Kephiel a bit more closely.
Then, with a light laugh, she turned to Louise.
“I see, I understand. There are some less-than-elegant words I won’t say out loud. But, ha, really, Louise, I feel embarrassed for you~ It seems my guidance in this area has been too superficial, leading you to a complete defeat. How pitiful~”
“Do you want to fight, Moon Fairy…”
I beg you both, please stop, great ones. Moon Fairy, don’t provoke the queen any further, or I’ll be the one who suffers in the end.
After much back and forth, I finally managed to bring the queen and Iris to a peaceful resolution, and everyone settled down. Yesterday, the queen had informed me that she was investigating the ‘fairies’ at the church, and it seemed that this matter was serious enough to involve the Moon Fairy before we could be informed.
As the queen handed us the documents, the Moon Fairy also spoke up.
“Theoretically, there should be discipline fairies present at the church. Initially, we discovered that the saint herself might be a fairy, but then we found out that a certain Mr. Euclid, who wishes to remain anonymous, acted quickly and has already taken her under his wing, so we’ll skip that part.”
“Aside from that, we encountered some obstacles in our search for discipline fairies. You should remember what happened at the previous summit of nations; I’ve heard that you eliminated a useless member of the church and supported the saint, right?”
I nodded.
The queen continued, “But now, some forces from the church that had been away are returning and starting some ‘cleansing’ activities. This is just an old tactic, a form of exclusion called ‘eliminating heretics’… and so on, outdated methods.”
“This has hindered our investigation, but Euclid, Kephiel, this just proves that the church isn’t solely the domain of the saint; there are still some extra secrets hidden behind it~ Sister Wang’s identity is special, so she can only investigate up to this point, which means it’s up to you two now~ Just as you’re looking for discipline fairies, you can also help Sister Wang deal with this little—little trouble.”
The queen raised a finger: “Sister Wang has already thought of a reason for you. The Great Yung Empire has always cooperated with the church, and royal engagements require some superficial ‘blessing from the church.’ You two can conveniently use this as an excuse to go~ After all, the saint is already my dear master’s fairy, so it’ll be quite convenient, right, Master~?”
The Queen… could you please not smile so happily? It frightens me.
However, the script also emerged.
[Changes occurred in the church where Ikusis is located.]
Though the content was vague, this could finally be considered the “main script” that had appeared!
The Queen’s grand empire and the forces of the Moon Fairy directly provided convenience for me and Kephiel, and we had no doubts, readily agreeing. If we found an opportunity to visit the church, we would surely learn what was happening there.
That was what I thought.
But…
This time, the trouble was far more serious than I had anticipated. And it wasn’t the unknown dangers lurking in the distant church, but rather, something unexpected that was close at hand, coming right at me…
An unforeseen presence.
Because, when Kephiel and I bid farewell to the Queen and Iris, hand in hand returning home, I opened the door and saw a familiar figure.
Familiar, yet… it shouldn’t be here.
“Welcome back, Mr. Oujiride. I’m preparing a late-night snack for you, so please wait a moment~”
The familiar maid, Nilu, turned around and smiled at me.
