Miyamura Eien
She’s incredibly popular for her visuals.
Moreover, I was conscious of the gap between her usual dead-eyed expression and the happiness that blooms when she smiles.
She’s quite cunning, the type to make virgins misunderstand.
I’d do anything she asks of me.
Whether she’s second-hand or not, I’ll leave that to your imagination.

Character Introduction from the main story of Scumbag Scandal
Miyamura Eien
As I wrote the original scenario with a live performance vibe, the character became increasingly unfortunate, an over-the-top creation.
Since Sayaka doesn’t exist in the original work, I never intended to involve her in the “Caged Girl” scenario,
And when I decided to use Sayaka, I truly meant for her to be just a warning character. I had no intention of writing the scenario where Emi has a conflict,
Nor did I plan to depict Hideyori’s scummy behavior after the destruction of the cage,
And I absolutely did not intend to write from Emi’s perspective about the false “Caged Girl.”
I had no plans to expose the past to the Master; I let the characters take the lead.
After binge-reading manga on Piccoma, I learned that before redoing anything, it’s okay to do whatever you want.
Especially with Sakura Festival works, I don’t think much about foreshadowing; I just expand on whatever seems interesting at the moment, so the stories are quite lively, and I write freely.
I wanted to structure the past arc around a promise to go to the pool that couldn’t be kept, and by the end, going to the pool would resolve any lingering feelings.
The gap between the original work and the main story of Scumbag Scandal became quite a gruesome scenario (maybe I made it a bit too young…).
I originally intended to finish it in about 20 pages.
The “Caged Girl” scenario from Emi’s perspective is only about 2 pages long, but I wrote it while crying in front of my smartphone, fully immersed in the emotions.
It was a long and soul-crushing process to write, but it’s a scenario I’m deeply attached to.
“The Caged Girl” received a lot of feedback.
I got over 50 comments from everyone.
Thank you so much.
It’s truly motivating.
I’ve read all the comments.
I take all the criticism for Chapter 2 to heart.
Even the fact that Takeru-kun, who I intended to be an ordinary middle school boy, is treated as a homo character by everyone, I accept it all.
Especially on Kakuyomu, where it’s been about a month since it went public, the daily views have spiked to 30,000-40,000, the total views have reached 400,000, with over 1,300 followers and more than 500 stars. Thank you for all the ratings!
On Kakuyomu’s homepage, a featured work titled “Scumbag” caught my eye, and I couldn’t help but take a screenshot.
I give back to my readers with each update of the work.
Writing the gag scenes was a lot of fun.
The original style of the Sakura Festival is bright and lively, so I especially enjoy stories full of bustle and activity.
We still need more regular members.
While I love gags, I’m not good at serious scenes, so I’ll work on improving that.
I don’t think it’s necessary to depict the kind of serious scenes you find in typical moe anime, so when I do it, I go all out, changing the genre of the work itself.
I hope you enjoy the gap between seriousness and comedy, like in “Higurashi When They Cry,” the “Grisaia” series, “Utawarerumono,” and “Muv-Luv.”
I’m getting tired of the same old pattern of making Hideyoshi and Emi villains and doing a straightforward good vs. evil story, so I’m thinking of a different approach.
In the next chapter, Chapter 6, Takeru will face a different kind of injustice.
Of course, a brutal scumbag will make an appearance, so please look forward to it.
The next page marks the opening of the “False Idol” arc.
Hideyoshi, Takeru, and Risa’s admired star, that child, joins the fray…?
The child from the title of the sixth episode of the “Caged Girl” arc becomes the protagonist and the heroine.
Originally, she was supposed to appear around the second timeline of the original work, but I was so eager to get her moving that I decided to bring her in early, and I’m itching to go.
It’s all about the live performance feel.
I’ll include plenty of everyday scenes as a break from the action.
I think Eileen Something and Yoru Hill will probably appear later on.
The enigma of Yoru Hill
The names “Command Dominance” and “Anti-Gift” are just chuunibyou Hideyoshi’s inventions.
Unless Hideyoshi teaches them, no one can know the name of the Anti-Gift.
I’ve revealed that the character Yoru has a long-standing relationship with Takeru, a special birth, an unusual name, and the physical strength to overpower the strongest Emi, who can instantly defeat Sakuya, and might possess the ability of the Anti-Gift.
I’m posting this as a substitute for the author’s note.
