I Was Sick of Loving You - I Was Sick of Loving You chapter 67
67 – Another side of Rachel
The day when the colors of spring completely dyed the world. With the help of magic, they arrived at the land of green where the elves live.
Following the princess’s words that there was something to be received from the elves, the place I came to was an overwhelming sight more than what I had seen in the book.
A forest where green waves spread endlessly. In the center of the wave, a huge tree that seemed to swallow the sky.
As I stared at the overwhelming sight as if possessed, I heard Rachel’s annoyed voice.
“Uh, the day comes when I live and live and come back here. He said he would never come back.”
Her words, with a slight frown on her face, made me curious.
“Have you ever been here?”
“Yes, I came a few times when I was little.”
“Awesome. Elves and dark elves are enemies, so I thought I wouldn’t even visit them.”
After I finished speaking, Rachel sighed.
“It’s not as old as I thought. Even when I was young, we weren’t close, but it wasn’t to the point of being antagonistic, to the extent that we even had brief exchanges.”
“It’s the first time I’ve heard of such a story.”
“It would be natural to hear it for the first time. It’s a story before the establishment of an empire.”
“Then three hundred…”
The gossip was stopped by Rachel’s hand, and death wrapped around me.
“Brother, don’t say such things, just think about it.”
Rachel’s subdued voice rang low, and she nodded obediently in response to that menacing voice.
As she was being threatened by Rachel, she heard the princess’s voice.
“Then why are you friends now?”
“It happened because a lot of misunderstandings piled up because of the naive thinking of the elves.”
Rachel’s annoyed voice spread as an echo.
“What kind of misunderstandings have accumulated that have led to that?”
“I can’t tell you about it because of the rules.”
“Right.”
“Anyway, it happened because of the nasty elves who are nasty and have high noses.”
Rachel’s voice, still full of annoyance, echoed again and spread.
Despite spitting it out with such annoyance in her voice, Rachel’s face blushed a little, as if the irritation had lessened.
I opened my mouth to change the subject to that figure.
“I’m going to meet those guys, is there anything I should be careful about?”
“Well, there are too many things to be careful about. First of all, you shouldn’t harm living plants, and you shouldn’t harm animals unless they attack first.
Also, you can’t light a fire unless it’s in a designated area. Oh, if you’re not of the same race, look down on yourself.”
After that, as the things to be careful of continued, the fatigue pushed in and stopped Rachel’s words.
“That’s enough. No matter what we do, it seems like we’re going to offend them.”
“that’s right. Let go of the idea of just being careful. It makes no sense.”
A sigh escaped her confirmation. As I sighed, I felt warmth on my shoulder. Looking back at the warmth, the princess patted my shoulder.
“Don’t worry too much. Even if we offend them, they won’t treat us badly.”
I had doubts about the princess’s words, but I swallowed my doubts with her confident voice and expression and nodded.
“Since the princess says so, I believe it.”
“Thank you for trusting me.”
A faint smile spread across the princess’s face. As I felt my uneasiness fade from that smile, I heard Rachel’s slightly annoyed voice.
“Brother, wait a minute. What I just said made me feel like I believed what you said, and that if it were me, you wouldn’t have believed it. Am I mistaken?”
My heart was pierced by Rachel’s words, so I couldn’t answer right away.
“It is an illusion.”
“Brother, why didn’t you answer right away?”
“It is an illusion.”
“okay. This is an illusion, and that is an illusion. I am misunderstood a lot these days. hahahaha, right?”
At the slightly thorny words, I averted my gaze without being able to answer.
“Ew, you’re looking away because you’re at a disadvantage again. I will be patient with you.”
My mouth tickled at Rachel’s last words, but I swallowed it because I thought it would be annoying if I said it as it was.
As I was swallowing the words I wanted to say, someone grabbed my shoulder and pulled me. When I lost my balance due to the sudden force and was hugged as if I was falling backwards, an arrow pierced me right where I was.
“The welcome is a bit rough.”
“Eh, it wasn’t like that in the past.”
I heard the princess’s voice right behind me, and saw Rachel holding a dagger. Rachel’s dagger formed a blue light, and the light flew in the shape of a half moon toward the top of the tree.
A sharp explosion was heard, and an elf fell and tumbled unsightly on the ground. After that, two elves appeared, landing lightly.
Suddenly, the elves glared at us and aimed their bows at us. The tallest man among the elves opened his mouth.
“Why did dirty humans and dark elves come here?”
Rachel opened her mouth with a slightly annoyed expression.
“Is there anyone older than you?”
Words that were clearly different from Rachel’s usual tone spread, and an arrow flew towards her.
The straight arrows split into Rachel’s dagger.
“Did you guys learn how to answer like this? I don’t think Uncle Pale would have taught me that.”
“Don’t call the elder by name carelessly!”
A voice filled with anger spread, and three arrows flew towards Rachel. Rachel, still with a troubled expression on her face, lightly hit the arrow.
“Uncle Pale has become an elder. Well, a lot of time has passed, and the uncle’s skills are good, so it’s worth it. More than that, you guys have been strangely educated.”
Suddenly, Rachel’s bleak voice spread, and her figure disappeared. Her figure disappeared, and a dull sound was heard.

Looking from where the sound came from, two elves were knocked down and the other was grabbed by Rachel’s grasp.
“If an adult asks, you should answer politely. Where do you shoot your bow? Who taught you that?”
“Who is the grown-up! Dark elves…”
Rachel hit the screaming elf in the stomach, and the elf’s words were cut off, leaving only a faint sound of pain.
“Looking at it, people who are 200 years old or younger don’t even know what’s going on and start ignoring it. Seriously, I’m not dumbfounded. It wasn’t like that when I was. Hey, it degenerates as the years go by.”
Words that could only be said by an old man or a strict man came out of Rachel’s mouth, and it was shocking that it contrasted so much with her usual appearance.
“Princess, was Rachel originally like that?”
“No, I’ve never seen anything like that before.”
The princess also answered with a slightly shocked expression.
“okay. It’s a little shocking.”
“I agree.”
As we were talking about the princess and Rachel’s unusual appearance, I heard a little scratchy sound.
“Hey, wake up. Wake up!”
Rachel said that while grabbing the apparently fainted elf by the collar and slapping him on the face.
“Eww, things are weak these days. I endured this much without making a sound. Whoever taught you. tsk tsk”
Saying that, Rachel threw the elf with red cheeks away and came back to us with a smile.
It was more than shocking, it felt a little frightening.
“Brothers and sisters. I guess I’ll have to wait a bit until Ash wakes up.”
“Yeah, I have plenty of time, so that’s fine.”
The princess erased her shocked expression from earlier and replied as usual, but I still couldn’t get out of the shock and remained silent.
Rachel stared at me as if she had noticed my condition.
“Brother, your complexion looks a little pale.”
“Tea, it’s an illusion.”
“Why are you stuttering again?”
“That, it’s nothing.”
Rachel didn’t say a word, but stared at me again. Her red eyes look scary than usual.
As she was feeling that way, she burst into laughter.
“Brother, it’s written all over your face that you were shocked.”
Her words made my heart flutter.
“No, that…”
“There is no need to hide and be considerate. I know that my actions will shock you.”
she said as if it didn’t matter.
“I didn’t want to do this either, but the elves don’t get discouraged if we don’t do it to this extent. And those guys shot the bow first at Brother. Compared to that, this is weak. And if I hadn’t done it, the sister would have done it even worse.”
“Rachel is right. If Rachel hadn’t stepped in first, I would have.”
The princess’s last words were cold.
“Anyway, don’t put too much of what you just saw. I did it because I was considerate of the elves. Perhaps from Jaedeul’s point of view, it would feel less embarrassing to be beaten by me than by Sister.”
“That sounds a little outrageous.”
“It’s embarrassing, but I’m originally such a kid. Sister, be patient.”
After listening to their conversation, I felt sorry for the feelings I felt when I saw Rachel.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know that, and I misunderstood.”
“Ah, apologize for something like that.”
“still…”
“If that bothers you, buy me something delicious later.”
When I said it with a bashful smile, my heart softened a little.
“Yes, I will buy it for you.”
“You must have promised.”
I was shocked to see a new side of Rachel today, but I was able to confirm again that the essence was still the playful and secretly caring Rachel I knew.
