I Will Stage A Coup D’état - Chapter 163

EP.163 Middle East Tour (2)
Chief of Staff Lee Gyeong-ho met secretly with Israeli officials under His Majesty’s orders.
On the Israeli side, those present included Isser Harel, who concurrently heads Mossad and Shin Bet; the head of the military intelligence agency Aman; and Colonel Binyamin Ghibli.
Israel has expressed strong discontent over South Korea’s ongoing tour of the Arab region, saying it sees a change in Pyongyang’s attitude.
“We, Israel, trusted you and cooperated with you. Is the reward for this friendship with our enemies? I would like to hear an explanation about this.”
“South Korea simply acted faithfully in its national interest. If we see a large market, and we just pass it by, wouldn’t that mean that South Korea’s leaders are being self-indulgent?”
“No, but there is a sense of loyalty and consideration for allies. We want Pyongyang to show respect for Tel Aviv.”
“If I hadn’t considered Tel Aviv, I wouldn’t have come here.”
In fact, the Jews knew it too.
The relationship between Korea and Israel is not very strong.
Apart from the nukes, all Tel Aviv and the Jewish community had to offer Korea was money.
To that extent, it was difficult to move the heart of the nation called Korea.
“Let’s get to the point. So, if the relationship between Arab countries and Korea becomes closer, what will happen to the cooperative projects that are currently being promoted between the two countries?”
Israel needed nuclear weapons more than anything else.
I was prepared to tolerate Korea’s indulgences as long as they got past that.
“Don’t worry about that. Korea keeps its promises.”
To put it more precisely, we only keep our promises to those who are ‘worth keeping them’.
Korea has been merciless to those who are not worth keeping their promises to.
In that respect, the Jews were a party that had to keep its promise.
Even if it was Tel Aviv, the Jewish community behind Israel was not a group of people that Korea could easily prey on.
Israeli intelligence officials were also relieved when their biggest concerns were resolved.
“Other military cooperation will continue, right? We want defense cooperation to continue.”
“That’s hard to guarantee. If the cabinet refuses to continue cooperating, we won’t be able to continue this work.”
Lee Kyung-ho did not lie, considering the feelings of the Jewish community.
It was self-evident that if Korea crossed the Arab line in the future, military cooperation with the Jewish community would be cut off.
The Jews also vaguely noticed this fact.
“I fully understand what the Korean side is thinking. Since you’re here, why don’t you go and see the Israeli Defense Forces’ parade?”
Tel Aviv knew that Koreans were starting to lean more Arab, but still wanted to give them a choice.
The means was a show of force by the Israel Defense Forces.
“Okay. We would also like to check the strength of the alliance.”
“You can look forward to it.”
The Israeli side immediately prepared a parade.
Tanks and self-propelled guns marched, and fighter planes roared and performed acrobatics in the sky.
A military of unbelievable size and proficiency for a new nation.
The Israeli Defense Forces certainly had the strongest military in the Middle East.
But, they were alone.
The Jews had no friends to fight alongside them in the Middle East.
Lee Kyung-ho sat in the VIP section and watched the parade, lost in thought.
‘It’s strong, but that’s all. It’s not enough to overwhelm the Arab Federation.’
If the Arabs begin to modernize and close the qualitative gap, Israel will be overwhelmed by them in quantity.
Lee Kyung-ho seemed to see the destruction of Israel.
Of course, Israel was not the only one to be destroyed because they were outnumbered.
Because in the near future, they will have nukes in their hands.
But there was no guarantee that nukes would save Israel.
As the Italian Wars demonstrated, nuclear weapons were not powerful enough to deliver a decisive blow to an army.
In reality, the political effect of nuclear weapons was greater than their military effect.
If a small country like Israel, which is not even a smile, were to use nuclear weapons, would it be able to handle the aftermath?
Lee Kyung-ho thought that even with help from the Jewish community, it would be difficult to handle.
‘It’s not an issue as long as the shit doesn’t splash on us.’
Lee Kyung-ho stayed in Israel for one more day and then left the country.
Until then, the prime minister had not offered any hopeful words about the future of relations between the two countries.
‘Does Korea think the Arab Federation is better than us, the leader in the Middle East?’
Of course, the Jews themselves knew that the Arab Federation had the upper hand in the long run.
The subtle attitude of the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Lee Kyung-ho during his recent visit to Israel, and the visit of South Korean Prime Minister Lee Sung-joon to an Arab country.
All of these circumstances pointed to only one thing.
South Korea will give up close ties with Israel once nuclear sharing ends.
“There is no need to criticize the Korean people for their lack of loyalty. If the great powers think we are truly valuable, they will reach out to us again. What we need to do now is to strive to gain a superior position over the Arab Federation.”
David Ben-Gurion, the Jewish godfather, advised the government:
Government officials also thought Ben-Gurion was right.
But how can we surpass the power of the Arab Federation?
If it were that easy, we wouldn’t have even thought about a preventive war in the first place.
Senior officials in Tel Aviv have been mulling over the issue for days.
“The only people we can trust until the end are fellow Jews. Let’s maintain a stronger pro-American stance than we have now.”
“Are you saying that it goes around and around and it’s Yeongmi?”
Israel has been looking with envy at Korea, which has maintained a somewhat middle ground and has been benefiting from both camps.
Israel, too, would like to do like Pyongyang, if only the conditions were right.
But Israel’s size and national conditions made such a strategy impossible.
“I don’t have a choice.”
“There’s nothing we can do. We have no choice but to give a handout to our friends in Washington. Contact AIPAC.”
Israel has turned to strong lobbying from the Jewish community in the United States as it shifts its diplomatic course toward becoming increasingly dependent on the United States.
AIPAC, the lobbying group representing Jewish communities in the United States, and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee have transformed themselves into legitimate lobbying groups to support Israel.
In the original version, something that would have taken place three years later was brought forward.
As soon as AIPAC transformed into a legitimate lobbying organization, it began to wield enormous influence.
Behind them were Jews with enormous assets.
The Jewish community once again spared no expense in contributing its influence and money to Israel.
“Israel will be a key player in America’s Middle East strategy. Haven’t we seen the power of Israel, the number one power in the Middle East, through past wars?”
AIPAC’s voice has had quite a resonance in American politics.
“It’s good to support Israel, but if we’re not careful, our Arab friends run the risk of cutting us off.”
“Sir, this is a policy that the Jews are pushing for. Aren’t you going to hold the next election?”
It would be an exaggeration to say that the owners of America are Jews, but no one could ignore Jewish influence.
Here McCarthy intervenes again.
“Those Arabs, if you look closely, they are pure communists. There are more than a few of them who are openly trying to nationalize resources, so if they are not communists, then who are?”
With McCarthy’s support, Jews framed Arabs as commies.
“Is it right to hate Israel, the only free country in the Middle East, or the Arabs who are full of dictatorship and communism?”
This is why frames are scary.
Once McCarthy started his witch hunt, if you defended Arabs, you would have been buried as a communist as well.
There were many people in American politics who knew how to calculate the pros and cons, but they were all silenced by the madman barking of McCarthy and the secretly powerful Jewish pressure.
The Truman administration, already troubled by the Italian War, did not want to be concerned about the noisy Middle East issue.
“Just listen to what the AIPAC guys want to say.”
However, that does not mean that AIPAC gave in to everything it demanded.
The Truman administration agreed to provide Tel Aviv with only a modest amount of weapons, money, and military advisory support.
In fact, that alone was enough to provoke the Arab countries.
“Look at this? Those Americans, they pretended to be fair judges, but now they’re showing their true colors.”
“I knew it. That’s how it is in a Jewish state ruled by Jews.”
In the Arab League and several Arab countries that were previously hostile to Israel, there were protests in which the American flag was burned and American goods were burned.
Even in Saudi Arabia, a country that is a symbol of pro-Americanism, there were voices shouting anti-Americanism.
“Yankee go home!”
The U.S. government was taken aback, not expecting the backlash to be this strong.
“Why not provide a similar level of support to Arab countries?”
“Then Israel will object.”
“That damn McCarthy won’t stay still either.”
Washington sought Jewish support at the cost of Arab wrath.
If it had been an outsider like Korea or the Soviet Union, no matter what it did, it wouldn’t have received much of a response, but the United States was a party deeply involved in Middle Eastern issues.
“First of all, give your Arab friends a piece of candy so they don’t complain too much.”
Whether it’s economic support or whatever.
The United States has spent enormous amounts of money in return for its involvement in the troublesome Middle East issue, which it failed to overcome due to Jewish lobbying.
And this was nothing compared to the problems that were to come.
‘Israel will have nukes.’
‘The Arab League’s hatred for Israel.’
Just imagine the terrible calamities that awaited America.
America had no idea what kind of quagmire it had stepped into.
