94 – Lian has been strengthened!
Clack.
After pulling his legs out of the bed and urgently grabbing Pia’s shoulders, he helped her up.
“Pia, what’s wrong? Are you hurt?”
“Huh, huh…”

With a face flushed red, Pia looked up at me with a dazed expression, as if she were possessed. I lightly shook her shoulders and said,
“Did an enemy come in? Did you get hit by dark magic…? No, this won’t do. I have to call someone else.”
“Yes, I will call someone.”
Pia absentmindedly listened to my words and suddenly stood up and went outside. It happened so quickly that I couldn’t catch her.
“Hey! Wait, Pia! Don’t go alone, let’s go together!”
I belatedly got off the bed and ran towards the door, trying to follow Pia.
Clank!
“Ah…”
The chain connected to my ankle tightened right in front of the door. It was longer than I thought, but it seemed impossible to escape from the room.
‘If Pia is in a state of being affected by magic, it could be a dangerous situation. Maybe I should cut off my ankle to remove the shackles.’
After reaching that conclusion, I summoned Gargandoa. Unlike usual, the summoned magic sword appeared without any impact and spoke urgently.
[Partner! Are you okay?!]
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
[What the hell happened that I had to be summoned? Even if my partner faints, there’s no reason for me to be summoned…]
While the magic sword murmured to itself and got lost in thought, I walked towards the bathroom. It was easier to clean up if blood splattered in the bathroom.
Thunk.
[It’s clear that those guys who disappeared back then did something. Maybe they cast black magic-…]
I roughly listened to the murmuring of the magic sword and opened the bathroom door and went inside. The length of the chain connected to the shackles was long enough for me to easily enter the bathroom, but the door didn’t close.
I brought a folding chair that was placed on one side and spread it inside the bathroom. I sat on it and placed the shackled leg on top of the other leg. Then, I lifted the magic sword.
[We need to be prepared for such incidents in the future… Huh? Partner, what’s with these shackles?]
“I filled them in because I was worried about the kids. I wanted to take them off because they were uncomfortable.”
[Heh, with a magic sword like me, I can easily cut this piece of metal in half in an instant.]
That statement struck me like a lightning bolt.
“…Wait, wouldn’t breaking the shackles solve the problem?”
Internally, I shouted ‘Eureka!’ to the Demon Sword and spoke.
“Then, would you like to cut them yourself?”
[Sure! Watch closely and witness my power!]
Swish.
The Demon Sword, now in control, began to move the sword lightly. The gestures, more focused on style than practicality, brushed past the ankles.
Thunk.
The beautifully carved shackles fell to the ground. With my mouth agape at the surreal scene, I spoke.
“You’re truly amazing.”
[hehehe, hehehe… Praise the greatness of this body even more!]
Clapping my hands like praising a puppy, I shouted, “Well done. Well done.” The Demon Sword trembled with excitement.
Afterwards, I threw the broken shackles into the trash bin and spun my ankles around. Though they were lightly swollen due to the heavy, solid shackles made of iron, it wasn’t enough to hinder me from walking. It was slightly painful with each step, but not enough to sit on the floor. I rinsed my ankles with cold water from the shower and left the bathroom.
“Now, let’s follow behind.”
Lian immediately headed towards the door. Just as we approached the entrance.
“Lian, are you here?”
“Yeah, I’m calling for you.”
“…!”
Even though Lily and Pia were speaking outside the door, their voices were clear. It was evidence that they were close by. My gaze shifted downwards.
“Oh no, seeing the shackles off, they’ll definitely try to put them back on!”
I sprinted towards the bed without looking back, diving into the covers.
Thump thump.
I heard a knocking sound. Quickly, I summoned the dark sword that I held in my hand and spoke.
“Um, who is it?”
“It’s me, Lily. Can I come in?”
“Yeah, come in.”
As soon as I gave permission, the door opened and Pia and Lily entered the room.
“Brother, where does it hurt?!”
Lily rushed to my side, probably thinking that I was in pain as I flipped the covers. I pulled down the covers neither too fast nor too slow and said.
“No, I’m not hurt. I was just lying under the warm covers.”
“Really? You’re not in pain?”
“No, I’m not.”
As I sat up with my hands raised, Lily let out a sigh of relief and said.
“That’s good. But if you’re in pain anywhere, you have to tell me right away. Got it?”
I vigorously nodded my head, and Lily captured a worried expression on her face as she said.
“But why did you call me?”
“Oh, well…”
Just as I was about to utter the words, “I think Pia is acting strange,” a stain on Lily’s sleeve caught my eye.
“Lily, you have that on your clothes…”
“Huh? Oh…”
Lily’s gaze followed me and turned towards her sleeve. A red stain was spreading on her beige shirt. Lily spoke with a bewildered face.
“Oh, it’s nothing. I think it’s because of something that got stained earlier.”
“Really?”
“Of course -“
Before Lily could finish her sentence,
“It’s a lie.”
“Huh?”
“What?”
With a seemingly nonexistent presence, Pia swiftly approached and tightly grabbed Lily’s wrist. Then, she lifted the sleeve that went down to the elbow.
“Ouch! Uh, sis?!”
“It’s not from a stain, it’s blood seeping from a wound.”
Pia looked at me with a face that seemed to say, “I did well,” and showed me a gauze soaked in blood. After Lily hastily pushed Pia away, she pulled down her sleeve.
“It’s really nothing. Just a scratch from the edge or something…”
Lily tightly pursed her lips without continuing her words. I looked at Lily and thought,
“The inhabitants of the dark fantasy world will die if their wounds worsen. Unlike the inhabitants of the comedy world.”
As I reached that thought, Lily looked as if she were a person afflicted with an incurable disease.
“It’s not me who should be lying down, it should be Lily! Come here! Lie down quickly!”
“Huh? Wha-what?”
I pulled Lily and made her lie down on the bed. In turn, I got off the bed and covered Lily’s neck with the blanket. Lily looked up at me with a bewildered face. Fortunately, she didn’t seem to notice that there were no shackles on my ankles.
“I’ll go out and call a doctor… No, a therapist.”
“I’m a healer…?”
“No one else?”
“Well, there is someone…”
Lily looked flustered by the sudden situation, her eyes darting back and forth. Then Fia, who was standing next to me, approached and spoke.
“Oh, indeed, Lady Lianne…”
“Huh?”
“Unable to bear seeing someone writhing in pain…”
Fia quickly muttered words that I couldn’t understand, then suddenly dropped to her knees in front of me.
“I, I will also follow your will.”
“Uh, why are you doing this, sister?”
“Lily, even you can see that Fia looks strange, right? Could it be that she’s under a spell?”
Seeing Fia’s condition worse than Lily’s, I urgently asked the question, and Lily nodded her head, trying to get off the bed. I raised my hand to stop her from getting off and said,
“I think it would be better for both of you to lie down. Lily, is it okay if we lie Fia down together?”
“Brother, I’m fine. So let’s just get Fia to lie down.”
“What are you saying! Your arm is bleeding!”
Lily closed her lips tightly and started to gaze at me intently. Her narrowed pupils seemed to have something she wanted to say. Instinctively, I averted my gaze and said,
“Let’s lie Fia down first.”
As I bent my knees and grabbed Fia’s shoulders,
Paaah!
The back of my left hand began to glow brightly.
“Huh?”
A faint, golden-white light shimmered, as if it would dispel all the darkness in the room. With a dazzling brightness that didn’t hurt the eyes, I looked down at the back of my hand with a dazed expression.

“Oh my! Oh God!”
I was so startled that I couldn’t even comprehend what Pia said. The bright light that had shone so brightly gradually diminished over time.
In an instant, silence settled in the room.
“What, what is this?”
“Oh…”
As I murmured while looking down at the back of my left hand, I heard a gasp coming from beside me. Lily, who had somehow gotten off the bed, was looking down at my left hand. Pia was muttering something and banging her head on the floor.
In a daze, I stared at the mark engraved on the back of my hand, unable to help Pia because I was so lost in thought. A geometric pattern, like a beautiful plant with stems extending from the center of a feather motif, was engraved on the back of my hand.
The white stem extended not only to the back of my hand but also to my wrist. It almost looked like a white plant had rooted itself in my hand.
“This is definitely… the place where the god of the dark fantasy world engraved the mark.”
As I stared blankly at the pattern that clearly looked sacred, incomprehensible information flooded into my head.
“Ah.”
I let out a small gasp and stood up, looking at Lily. She was so startled that she couldn’t speak properly, her lips trembling.
I approached Lily and reached out my hand towards her injured arm.
“I’m sure this is how it’s done.”
With that conviction, I focused my consciousness on the back of my left hand.
Paaah!
The ecstatic light that had faded away began to pour out. A warm aura that evoked a comforting embrace swept away the pain in Lily’s arm.
And then, the wound disappeared as if it had been washed away.
