Impure Wedding Night - Chapter 107

#107. If only I had heeded the warning
2024.06.07.
Seo-yoon swallowed hard and waited for Ye-rin to speak.
“Why on earth did you do that to me?”
“Huh?”
“Other people met more amazing boyfriends, but you always stole the men I met.”
“Hey, that’s a misunderstanding.”
Seo-yoon waved her hand while watching Lee Hyun’s expression.
However, she soon lowered her head, probably thinking she couldn’t hide it.
She really didn’t want to say this, but if she didn’t say it, Lee Hyun would think she hadn’t apologized properly.
“… … I was jealous.”
“What?”
Ye-rin pricked up her ears, wondering if she had heard wrong.
Seo-yoon continued talking while staring at the table.
“My dad has been comparing me to you since high school.”
It was the first time Ye-rin had heard that.
“He always nags me about why I can’t be like you. Every time he did that, I hated you so much that I couldn’t even look at you.”
Seo-yoon laughed to herself as she remembered that time again and continued talking.
“My father is someone who doesn’t care at all about how hard I’m holding on. But unlike him, your parents… … .”
Seo-yoon paused for a moment while talking.
She thought of Ye-rin’s mother, who would often wait for her in front of the school on her way home and take her away with affectionate eyes.
“No matter what you did, she just loved you. I was so jealous of that.”
Blind love that she had never received in her life.
But Ye-rin was receiving it from her parents, and now from Lee Hyun.
As if it was natural.
“I stole all your boyfriends because I wanted to see you struggle.”
At first, it was an apology forced by Lee Hyun, but after telling her story, she felt relieved.
“I’m sorry. Sincerely.”
Ye-rin listened to Seo-yoon’s story calmly and then said.
“I don’t know how hard it was for you, but you shouldn’t have taken it out on me.”
Since it wasn’t because of Yerin that she had a hard time, Seoyoon’s actions couldn’t be justified in any words.
“You created another victim.”
“I know. That’s why I’m really sorry.”
“If things hadn’t turned out this way, you wouldn’t have thought of apologizing, right?”
Seoyoon felt a sharp sting at Yerin’s blunt remark.
“I appreciate you telling me in detail about your circumstances today. But that doesn’t mean that the hurt I’ve received will disappear all at once.”
Seoyoon was startled even after hearing those words. She
knew that the stubborn Han Yerin would naturally accept an apology if she told her the details of her situation.
Yerin continued speaking after seeing Seoyoon’s embarrassed face.
“I think I’ll keep thinking about the hard times when I see you.”
Yerin let out a short breath and raised her head.
“You probably wouldn’t be happy seeing me either, right?”
Seoyoon nodded slowly.
“That’s why I want us to leave here and never see each other again.”
There was no emotion in Yerin’s voice as she spoke those words.
It was the kind of words that someone who had endured and emptied all the hatred, sadness, and hardship alone could say.
“I feel sorry for your father. I hope it all works out.”
She was sincere.
“Yeah, thank you.”
Seoyoon took her eyes off Yerin and looked at Lee Hyun.
The apology he had asked her to make was really great.
Now it was time for Lee Hyun to help her.
“Lee Hyun, I kept my promise. So… …”
Just as Seoyoon was about to say something,
her cell phone in her bag started ringing.
“Oh, who is calling me so persistently?”
Seoyoon took out her phone, intending to put it on silent mode.
The caller was her best friend, Suzy.
‘Why is she calling so many times?’
Even though she had clearly said that she would meet Lee Hyun and Yerin to apologize, the fact that she was calling so persistently meant that something was wrong.
Seoyoon hurriedly answered the phone.
“Hey, Suji.”
– Seoyoon, you’re really in big trouble.
“Why?”
– You, watch the video I sent you quickly.
The call was cut off very shortly.
Seoyoon pressed the message Suji had sent while making a face like she had no idea what was going on.
The video filled the phone screen.
Thud-
eww- aww-
a very familiar sound was heard, and Seo-yoon’s eyes fluttered as she watched the video.
“T-what is this… …”
Ye-rin looked curious about what was going on, and Lee Hyun, sitting next to her, looked like he knew everything.
Lee Hyun had met one of Seo-yoon’s friends a few days ago and asked him to record and leave a video of Seo-yoon if she ever did anything that would be problematic.
Thankfully, Seo-yoon had figured it out, and it was like adding fuel to the fire.
Seo-yoon called out to Lee Hyun with an urgent look on her face.
“Lee Hyun, please save me.”
Lee Hyun let out a snicker at those words.
“I’m sorry, but I’m beyond the range of things I can do to help.”
“What do you mean! It’s not like we promised!”
Seo-yoon shouted, completely oblivious to the other people in the cafe.
Lee Hyun covered his ears with one hand as if his ears hurt.
“It seems like the other party has sued Kwak Seo-yoon for assault.”
“What?”
“I’ll just introduce you to a good lawyer I know and let’s wrap it up.”
Seo-yoon slumped down in her seat.
Yes, the lawyer Lee Hyun introduced might be able to settle the case in self-defense.
However, Seo-yoon’s hopes were soon shattered.
“That lawyer is a good person who will fill you in so that you can be sentenced to prison.”
“What?”
“You should pay the price for the crime you committed. Don’t you?”
Seo-yoon glared at Lee Hyun and Ye-rin from her seat, her eyes wide open.
“Lee Hyun, you weren’t planning on helping me from the beginning, were you?”
Seo-yoon kept shouting even though there was no answer.
“You were planning on making me apologize to Han Ye-rin and then not taking any action after that!”
Lee Hyun bowed as he looked at Seo-yoon, whose face was red.
Then he spoke with a very cold face.
“That’s right. “If only you had heeded that warning not to touch my woman.”
“… … .”
“Things wouldn’t have gotten to this point.”
It was all Seo-yoon’s fault.
Lee Hyun slowly straightened up and grabbed Ye-rin’s hand.
“Then you can hear it in the detention center. Our wedding news.”
“Hey!”
“It would be even better if you congratulated me.”
Lee Hyun left those words and quickly left the café with Ye-rin.
Seo-yoon, who was left behind, cried without paying attention to the eyes of those around her.
Now, everything was really over.
***
Ye-rin looked at the café door as if she was worried after getting into Lee Hyun’s car. When
Lee Hyun silently grabbed her hand, Ye-rin’s head finally turned.
“What are you thinking?”
“I was thinking that maybe I spoke too harshly earlier.”
A laugh escaped Lee Hyun’s mouth at those words. He
immediately spread his arms and hugged Ye-rin’s slender figure.
“Kwak Seo-yoon said even worse things to you. “ What am I supposed to do if I bother you this much over a few words?”
“Yes. But I still feel bad.”
Lee Hyun slowly stroked Yerin’s soft hair and caressed her head. How could
she be so kind-hearted, not even thinking about what she had been through?
“Of course, it would have been okay for you, Han Yerin.”
Yerin was in Lee Hyun’s arms, silently feeling his warmth.
“Did you really say things like you were sick of me, that you never liked me, and then suffered alone?”
Lee Hyun relaxed his arms around Yerin and met her eyes.
Yerin bit her lip and nodded slowly.
“Ha.”
Lee Hyun let out a small breath and roughly ran one hand through her bangs.
“What kind of woman are you?”
How on earth could you possibly live in this harsh world, being so kind?
Lee Hyun began to speak, slightly raising the corners of his lips.
“I really can’t.”
“Huh?”
“You have to show me only pretty things and good things for the rest of your life.”
I really didn’t understand why the conclusion suddenly flowed like this.
“I knew that Han Ye-rin didn’t mean what she said when she told me to break up. That’s why I wasn’t hurt.”
“Really?”
“Yes. So don’t take it to heart.”
“I will.”
“If you’re really sorry.”
Lee Hyun tapped her lips with his index finger.
“Apologize whenever you think of it. In my own way.”
Yerin finally burst into laughter at Lee Hyun’s joke.
“Now that I think about it, I don’t think I’m sorry anymore.”
“No, think about it again.”
“Even if I think about it deeply, I really am not sorry.”
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to kiss Lee Hyun.
Lee Hyun pulled Yerin, who was trying to get away from him, back to him again.
“Then let’s do it since you said you’re not sorry.”
“Huh?”
Lee Hyun ran away without warning, holding Yerin’s lips.
“How could something like that happen!”
Whether she was sorry or not, she just wanted to kiss him.
That was the kind of reasonable suspicion that came to mind.
Lee Hyun felt so in love with Yerin, who was squinting her eyes open, that he pressed his lips firmly onto her cheeks.
After that, he left a trace there again because the shiny lips looked so lonely.
After leaving a trace, he couldn’t be satisfied with that, so he dug deeper.
Yerin’s scent that penetrated deep into his lungs made Lee Hyun excited again.
She was truly an addictive woman.
