Yerin slowly opened her eyelids at the loud alarm sound. She

quickly got up from her seat, got ready to go out, and left the house with a nervous expression.

After walking down a little, she saw a mart that had opened early.

“The director prefers to eat something simple in the morning.”

Yerin quickly bought butter, eggs, sugar, and bread, and also bought salad ingredients and quickly returned home.

When she checked the time, she had some time left before she had to wake Lee Hyun up.

Although it was a simple dish, she put on the apron she had bought yesterday in case it spilled, and a memory came to mind.

It was the scene when Lee Hyun hugged her and tied her apron when she went to volunteer at a daycare center.

“Ugh.”

Yerin quickly shook her head and started cracking eggs into a bowl.

Even though she tried not to think about it, Lee Hyun’s face kept coming to mind, and it was killing her since the morning.

“Why do I have so many memories of being with the director in so many places?”

It wasn’t something particularly grand, but she couldn’t deny that Lee Hyun was a part of her daily life.

Thanks to Lee Hyun, she had no worries about where to live for a while, so making breakfast this morning was a way to repay him.

She wanted to help Lee Hyun in any way she could.

Lee Hyun was helping her life in his own way.

After quickly making French toast and salad, Yerin took her plate and got on the elevator.

As she went up one floor, she couldn’t stop smiling because she was surprised at how strange this situation was, but how she had quickly adapted to it. Maybe it was because she

was excited about seeing Lee Hyun soon.

After entering the password and entering Lee Hyun’s house, Yerin put the plate down on the table and carefully walked to the bedroom where he was sleeping. She quietly

called Lee Hyun’s name, wondering if he was awake.

“Lee Hyun?”

But as expected, there was no answer. Knock

knock on the bedroom door and, as usual, she saw Lee Hyun’s wide back sleeping with his top off.

The finely sculpted muscles were dazzling in the early morning sunlight.

He must have fallen asleep while reviewing documents until late at night, because the papers he had been examining were still on the table next to his desk.

Yerin spoke while organizing the documents.

“Chief, it’s time for you to wake up.”

As expected, there was no answer.

Yerin stood blankly next to the bed and called his name once more.

“Chief?”

Only the quiet silence greeted Yerin.

When she checked the time, she saw that there were still about five more minutes left.

Since he was a man who was already short on sleep, Yerin decided to let him sleep a little longer.

She sat on the small chair next to the bed and slowly stared at the handsome face that had turned to her.

When she had become disillusioned with dating after seeing her ex-boyfriend fall for Seoyoon’s seduction, she met Lee Hyun.

When she thought that all men were the same, Lee Hyun appeared as if mocking Yerin’s thoughts.

When a CEO’s business was booming, she lived without knowing the world’s shortcomings, but when it failed, it only took a moment for her to fall to the bottom.

After that, she began to wonder what the point of having and owning something was.

It was the same with human relationships.

Friendship was like a very thin piece of paper, and it only took a moment for it to tear when wet.

However, Lee Hyun was a man who made Yerin want to change the time and way she lived. She

would wonder if this man was okay, but when she thought about the different world she lived in with him, she would hesitate again.

She would think she shouldn’t be greedy, but when she kept spending time with this talented man, she would want him.

So Yerin didn’t know what to do.

What was certain was that her feelings for Lee Hyun were growing stronger than before. It was an

accurate fact that she couldn’t hide and couldn’t hide.

Lee Hyun put on the suit Yerin had chosen and went out to the living room, calling her name.

Then he realized Yerin was in the kitchen and walked around as if possessed.

“You’re here? I prepared something simple for you to eat. If you’re not very hungry, you don’t have to eat.”

Lee Hyun’s eyes turned to the French toast and salad on the table.

He looked slightly surprised.

“Did Han Yerin make it herself?”

“Yes. Since I was making food for myself anyway, I prepared it for her.”

Lee Hyun sat down in his chair with a slightly touched expression.

“Would you like some milk? I think you’ll be drinking coffee at work later.”

Lee Hyun nodded once, watching Yerin take care of him delicately.

“You know me so well, Han Yerin.”

“We’ve been together for over a month.”

“Has it already been that long?”

Lee Hyun picked up the French toast Yerin had made herself with a fork.

When he put it in his mouth, the soft bread melted with a sweet taste.

Lee Hyun’s eyes narrowed slightly to the side.

“I don’t know if you’ll like it.”

Lee Hyun slightly raised the corners of his lips as he looked at Yerin’s worried face.

“There’s nothing Han Yerin can’t do.”

Only then did Yerin smile brightly at the words,

“It’s not an empty promise, it’s really delicious. I wasn’t hungry, but it’s so delicious that I want to keep eating after one bite.”

As if those words were true, Lee Hyun ate all of the French toast that was set out for him.

“If you want something to eat in the morning, I’ll prepare it like this.”

At those words, Lee Hyun shook his head while wiping his mouth with a napkin.

“Han Yerin, I didn’t tell you to stay downstairs to prepare my breakfast.”

“I know.”

Of course, Yerin knew very well that Lee Hyun would not ask her to move in because he wanted something like this.

“I just wanted to eat breakfast with the chief.”

“Do you mean you want to eat with me as your boss? Or…?” She

momentarily overlooked Lee Hyun’s personality of liking accuracy.

Before the question could even be finished, Yerin corrected herself and added.

“Would it be okay if I said that I wanted to eat with Lee Hyun, who lives in the same villa as me?”

It wasn’t a very satisfying answer, but it was okay.

At least it seemed like he had gone one step further than his boss.

While eating the remaining salad, Lee Hyun thought,

If Yerin heard his thoughts alone, she might feel burdened, but that’s exactly how she felt right now. She thought she

understood why Chairman Cha wanted to pass the Ji Seok Group down to his son who got married first.

She felt peaceful and happy from the morning, as if she was walking on clouds.

She even had the illusion that she could handle all the work that came her way today without a hitch.

His greed grew.

He wanted to date Yerin, but not anymore. He

even wanted to get married.

He wanted to have this woman’s entire life for himself.

Yerin may have just done it to repay his gratitude for lending him the house, but it only made Lee Hyun sink deeper into the swamp.

Yerin, sitting across from him, had similar thoughts to Lee Hyun.

She thought it would be much better to eat breakfast with someone than alone.

Of course, that someone was Lee Hyun, so she thought of it.

One lazy afternoon, Secretary Choi left Lee Hyun’s office and headed straight for Yerin’s seat.

Yerin, who was organizing her schedule, raised her head and faced Secretary Choi.

“Do you have anything for me to do?”

“No, I don’t have anything for you to do. I’ll go with the director until tomorrow’s business trip to Germany.”

“Oh, really?”

It seemed like she had just talked about that with Lee Hyun in the office.

“The director wants me to leave and come back quickly, so my schedule is tight. “I think they decided that since I went there before, it would be more efficient for me to accompany them this time as well.”

“Yes, I understand.”

After hearing Secretary Choi’s story, Yerin was thinking that she should think more about how she could help him in Korea.

At that moment, Hyejin, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation, suddenly stepped in through the partition and spoke.

“But Secretary Choi does all the hard work?”

Hearing from the side that the business trip to Germany was quite tiring, he said.

“Then what on earth was Secretary Han chosen to do?”

Secretary Choi frowned at those words.

“Secretary Shin Hye-jin, what are you saying that for?”

“No, that’s right. This business trip to Germany was originally supposed to be done by Secretary Han, but Secretary Choi is going instead…”

“Secretary Shin Hye-jin, we’re a team that works together to increase the director’s work efficiency.”

Hye-jin shrugged at Secretary Choi’s words.

“I know. Do you think he doesn’t know that?”

Hyejin, not wanting to hear any more nagging, immediately grabbed her cell phone and left the office.

Seolgi, who was working in her seat in the chilly air, smiled awkwardly and quietly left her seat.

Secretary Choi, wondering if Yerin was offended by Hyejin’s words, spoke to her.

“Secretary Han, are you okay?”

“Yes, of course. I think Secretary Shin might think that way.”
