Impure Wedding Night - Chapter 75
Only Noblemtl
#75. A day to remember
2024.02.16.
Lee Hyun pointed to the CCTV that was shining towards the pool with his finger.
“I’ll check it out and contact Assemblyman Kwak directly.”
“Yes?”
Only then did Seo Yoon seem to realize the seriousness of the situation.
“Just a moment.”
She tried to grab Lee Hyun’s soaking wet shirt in a hurry, but even that floated away in the air.
“I hear you’ve been particularly concerned about managing public sentiment lately. I wonder how you’ll react when you find out your daughter is acting like this.”
“Director Cha Yi Hyun, please listen to me for a moment.”
However, Lee Hyun decided that there was no need to talk anymore, so he turned away with a cold gaze.
Just then, an employee brought two blankets, and he covered Ye Rin with one of them and then draped it over his own back.
“Can you walk?”
“Yes, of course.”
Ye Rin tried to get up, but let out an “ah-” sound as she tried to step on one foot.
“I think my ankle is sprained.”
Earlier, when my body was swaying, I felt a tingling sensation in my ankle, and it seemed to be a real sprain.
Without hesitation, Lee Hyun spread his arms and lifted Yerin up.
Na Ri grabbed Yerin’s clutch and stood up at the same time.
Before walking away, she glared at Seo Yoon and followed her.
After all the people who had been the center of attention disappeared, everyone turned their attention back to what they were doing.
Seo Yoon was left alone and miserable, chewing her fingernails.
She was already scared.
The thought of Lee Hyun telling Dr. Kwak about her story made her whole body stand on end.

She only sprained her ankle, but because Lee Hyun had called the doctor to her house, Yerin received excessive treatment.
“If it swells up more tomorrow, I think it would be better for you to come in.”
“Yes, I will.”
Dr. Kim left Yerin on the living room sofa and walked with Lee Hyun toward the study while talking.
“I heard you went into the pool today.”
“Yes, I didn’t have much of a choice earlier.”
“Are you okay these days?”
Lee Hyun let out a snicker at the cautious question.
“I didn’t think you were okay, but today I see you’re okay. I’m not sure either.”
“Are you sleeping well?”
“Yes. I have fewer nightmares than before, so my sleep quality is good.”
“That’s good. I was going to contact you because you haven’t been coming to get a prescription for sleeping pills.”
Lee Hyun lowered his voice even further,
perhaps concerned about Yerin, who was sitting on the sofa applying an ice pack. “You’re doing much better these days, so don’t worry.”
“That’s good. If you have any trouble, just let me know.”
“Of course.”
After seeing Dr. Kim off, Lee Hyun returned to the living room where Yerin was.
He had quickly changed his clothes to receive treatment, and hadn’t even dried his hair properly.
“If you do that, you’ll catch a cold. Wait here for a moment.”
Lee Hyun quickly disappeared somewhere and appeared a little later holding a hair dryer in one hand.
He plugged the hair dryer into the outlet on the sofa and approached Yerin.
“I’ll do it.”
“Han Yerin, hold on tight so the ice pack doesn’t fall off.”
Lee Hyun turned on the hair dryer’s wind to low and started drying Yerin’s soft hair.
It was the first time since my mother Chansuk when I was little that someone had dried my hair.
“Your hair is long, so it won’t dry well.”
So she said she would do it, but Lee Hyun was adamant.
“Then I’ll have to dry it even more.”
The whirring sound of the hair dryer echoed throughout the spacious living room.
After having no choice but to leave her hair to Lee Hyun, Yerin thought back to the conversation she had with Dr. Kim that she had heard from time to time earlier.
“Secretary Choi was like that too, and it seems clear that the director has a trauma from water like swimming pools.” She
had to ask him clearly so that something like this wouldn’t happen again when she accompanied him in the future.
Before he knew it, Lee Hyun had finished drying Yerin’s hair and put the dryer down.
Yerin turned to Lee Hyun and spoke carefully.
“Lee Hyun, I didn’t mean to overhear, but I was curious about something you had to say about your conversation with Dr. Kim.”
Lee Hyun nodded once as if he knew what Yerin was going to ask.
Then he answered first.
“That’s right. I’m afraid of water.”
“I see. I’ll remember that.”
“I almost died when I fell into a stream when I was young.”
“Really?”
Yerin looked very surprised.
“There was a time when we went to a villa with my family. I was sitting on a rock where many people dive, playing with my brother.”
Yerin perked up her ears and focused on what Lee Hyun was saying.
“Then my brother went into the villa first, and I was sitting alone playing, and I must have tripped and fell down the rock.”
“Oh my, you must have been really surprised.”
“I don’t remember anything after that. Fortunately, I heard that a family passing by found me and rescued me right away.”
It was only natural that she had trauma from water after that experience.
“But I learned how to swim to overcome it, so I’m not as scared as I used to be. I don’t go to the pool on purpose, though.”
She was grateful and sorry that Lee Hyun jumped into the pool himself to save her.
“I feel like I made a big fuss today.”
“Why is that Han Yerin’s fault? It’s all because of that woman Kwak Seo-yoon.”
Just thinking about Seo-yoon made Lee Hyun furrow his brows, feeling unpleasant.
“I heard from CEO Kim Na-ri earlier that if Kwak Seo-yoon hadn’t let go of Han Ye-rin’s hand when she was staggering, she wouldn’t have fallen. Is that right?”
Seo-yoon probably didn’t pull her on purpose, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t completely responsible.
“She probably didn’t pull me on purpose at first, but she definitely let go of my hand at the end.”
“I’ve already requested to view the CCTV footage from the location where the event took place today. Fortunately, there was a CCTV footage where the pool was.”
“Really?”
“I’ll review the CCTV footage and if it’s true that she intentionally let go of Han Ye-rin’s hand, I don’t plan on letting it slide this time.”
Ye-rin simply nodded at Lee Hyun’s serious words.
“I was so surprised when I saw you fall into the water earlier.”
Thinking back on that moment, she still got goosebumps all over her body.
Lee Hyun spread his arms and hugged Ye-rin tightly.
Even before he could think of being afraid of water, his body reacted first, which surprised Lee Hyun as well.
However, he was certain that he would make the same choice if he were to go back to that time.
“The first day of our real relationship must have been a day to remember in many ways.”
It was a day when happy and surprising things happened one after another.
When Yerin smiled as if agreeing, Lee Hyun secretly cupped her lips.
It was an action he had never imagined doing when they were in a fake relationship.
Yerin secretly parted her lips and accepted Lee Hyun completely.
“I want today to end with a good memory.”
Lee Hyun took an even deeper breath as if to erase all the bad things that had happened that day.
The day when they started their real relationship was coming to an end.

Seo Yoon kept biting her fingernails as if she was anxious, even after pouring a lot of alcohol into her mouth.
“It must not have been caught on CCTV because it was dark.”
And even if it had been caught, she brainwashed herself into thinking that nothing serious would happen since she hadn’t intentionally pushed Yerin.
Knowing that such an excuse would not work on Lee Hyun, Seo Yoon’s anxiety grew and grew.
“Things are all messed up.”
She had attended the KK Foods founding ceremony to somehow have more conversation with Lee Hyun, but she had no idea that he would bring Yerin to such a public place.
There must have been many people watching and listening, so Lee Hyun would know what it meant to show up there with a woman.
“Ha. I really don’t want that to get to my dad.”
These days, nothing was going well.
Seo Yoon was sighing deeply when her close friend Soo Ji came over and sat down. She
looked like she had a lot to say, having already heard everything that happened at the party today.
“Didn’t you say that things were going well with Director Chae Hyun?”
“If you came here to tease me, just leave.”
“Hey, why are you saying such disappointing things? I came here because I was worried about you.”
Soo Ji ordered a glass of the same liquor that Seo Yoon was drinking and turned to face her.
“I heard that Chief Chae-hyun brought his secretary as a partner to the KK Foods founding ceremony today?”
“Huh?”
“They’re probably just having fun. Would he really marry his secretary?”
Soo-ji started to comfort Seo-yoon, saying that it was ridiculous.
Seo-yoon had thought the same thing.
However, after meeting Lee-hyun a few times, he was really serious to Ye-rin.
Just as Ye-rin had said, there seemed to be absolutely no room to delve into their relationship, so all she could do was sigh. Even
the blind date that Chairman Cha had tried to arrange naturally had Lee Hyun instinctively know that and avoid it.
“I heard that Chairman Cha listens to whatever his wife says?”
“Wife?”
“Oh. He had a political marriage with his first wife, and his current wife is someone he fell in love with at first sight.” When
Seo-yoon showed interest, Soo-ji began to list off all the facts she knew in excitement.
“If seducing Director Cha Yi-hyun doesn’t work, how about trying to seduce his wife?”
“Shall we?”
“Adults love you, right? Do you think your wife would want to take your secretary, Naburangi, as her daughter-in-law?”
