MMORPG : Ancient WORLD - #124 - 124 Meeting The Emperor
“I am happy to meet with His Majesty The Emperor,” Alex said after thinking about Lady Margaret’s suggestion.
Alex agreed to meet with the emperor because the suggestion from Lady Margaret was the best option he had to save everyone from trouble.
Alex planned to learn about the emperor’s motives for this meeting before using force to solve things because the Empire might be weak compared to the overwhelming strength of the Malefis Domain, but it was not weak by any standards.
“Let’s get going,” Tirone said as he stood and walked toward the door.
“I wonder what His Majesty wants from a weak adventurer like me,” Alex said softly.
The question was not for Tirone but for his two shadow guardians, as he had a theory but couldn’t ask it out loud, and he couldn’t use telepathy and couldn’t say it out loud as seventeen people were following him from the shadows.
“Adventurer, you will gain all your answers after meeting with the Emperor,” Tirone said as he kept walking in front of Alex with quick steps.
‘Domain Ruler, I am certain that the human emperor knows you are connected to the Malefis Domain.’
‘You have the legacy of First Ruler, and you acquired it by clearing the test of a darkness legacy throne which I am certain would have looked exactly like the real Ruler Throne because the first Ruler was very fond of using the ruler throne.’ Lady Margaret said.
The darkness legacy’s throne and the Ruler’s throne, in essence, were completely different things, but look-wise, they both looked exactly the same.
Alex knew that anyone who had seen even a picture of the Ruler’s throne would know the perfect-looking legacy throne wasn’t a coincidence, and he was certain there would be records of how the Ruler’s throne looked.
‘I was hoping that the emperor would want to know about the truth of the forbidden land of darkness that I know nothing about, but the throne is a big giveaway, and any big power like the empire with a long lineage would know about the Malefis Domain.’
‘I need to make sure these Beastmen and Emperor don’t reveal my identity to anyone because it will bring me too much-unwanted attention, and too much attention will bring many problems.’ Alex thought, fully committing to his plan.
Alex knew he could say he got the legacy and knew nothing about the Malefis Domain, but his lie will be quickly discovered with minimal effort by even a small power, let alone the human Empire.
Alex silently followed Tirone while thinking of a plan to achieve his goal, and after ten minutes, Alex exited a luxury carriage in front of the empire palace doors.
———————-
‘This palace is good, but it is nothing compared to the one in the Malefis Domain.’ Alex thought as he walked through a corridor while following Tirone.
“Adventurer, I will suggest that you cooperate to the best of your ability, and in return, I can guarantee that you will get rewards of unimaginable value,” Tirone said after reaching close to the giant white doors to the throne room.
‘I plan to flip this palace upside down if your Emperor disagrees with my demands.’ Alex thought with a smile.
” I will do the absolute best that I possibly can to help myself and everyone,” Alex said with a smile.
“Follow me.” Tirone took a deep breath and walked toward the door that got opened for him by the two statue-like guards stationed there.
‘I hope he is sensible enough not to be controlled by his pride.’ Alex thought, knowing that things might get out of hand very quickly.
Alex walked into the throne room, and the first thing he saw was the magnificent giant white throne, and the man seated on it looked at him with a cold gaze.
The throne room was empty, with the only person present being the emperor.
‘The Emperor [Melvin Gavin Magmis].’ Alex thought, looking e eye to eye with the Human continent Ruler.
The Emperor was a giant among men as his height reached above eight feet, packed with enough muscle to make him look good but not buffed.
The Emperor had a handsome face with long white hair reaching just below the shoulder, and his eyes pupils were gold with a tint of red, and he had an aura of superiority and pride around him, making him look intimidating.
“LONG LIVE THE GREAT EMPEROR,” Tirone shouted aloud as he kneeled on one knee with his head down.
“Malefis Domain Ruler, Welcome to my humble adobe.” The Emperor said with a smile.
‘Let’s ask him nicely.’ Alex thought.
Alex didn’t try to deny the emperor’s claim, knowing he couldn’t do anything to hide his identity as the emperor just needed to use a truth crystal to find the truth.
“Emperor Melvin, It is a pleasure to meet you,” Alex said.
‘Domain Ruler, Act like a Ruler,’ Darrien said as he appeared by Alex’s side, calmly looking toward the Emperor, who still had a smile as he looked eye to eye with Alex.
‘I don’t know if he wants me to act nicely and humbly or with arrogance and pride?’ Alex thought, not knowing how he should act.
After thinking for a moment, Alex decided to go with the second route even though he first planned to have a friendly conversation with the emperor to learn more about what he wanted and then make his request according to the situation.
“As clearly, there is no need for introductions, so let’s not waste each other time and talk about what we want from each other.”
“I want you and everyone who found my identity from the event that happened in the forbidden land of darkness to take a law oath to keep it to themselves.”
“The additional conditions being if even a single person is left out who hadn’t taken the law oath after two days, every one of you will die,” Alex said.
Alex didn’t sugarcoat his words, knowing the emperor needed to accept this demand as it would automatically solve all the problems, so asking him nicely or not won’t change the result he wanted.
“BOOMMM” x 4
The moment Alex finished his statement, Darrien released such heavy mana pressure that it increased the gravity in the throne room by many times, making four people hiding in shadows crash face-first on the floor while making many lose their invisibility.
Darrien’s little stunt made it clear that the following words of the Emperor would decide in which direction things would develop.
“This is a reasonable demand, and I am willing to agree to it,” Melvin said with a smile.
‘This was easier than I thought.’ Alex thought, surprised by the quick agreement to his unreasonable demand.
“All of you heard him,” Melvin said, and immediately seventeen more individuals became visible, making the total number of individuals present in the throne room thirty-six.
Emperor Melvin was the first person to take the law oath, and one by one, every individual in the room took the law oath, and in under five minutes,
Alex’s unreasonable demand was completed.
Alex could tell that most of the individuals taking the oaths were confused by the whole situation as they definitely had no clue what Malefis Domain was and what Alex’s status as its Ruler meant.
Alex was beyond surprised by how smoothly things went because the punishment of the law oath was death, and conditions were very strict.
If even a single individual who found Alex’s identity from the event of the forbidden land of darkness was left out and didn’t take the law oath, everyone who had taken the law oath would die after two days which, included the Human Emperor.
‘I thought the group of Beastmen was separated from the Human Empire, but seeing how the emperor trusts them with his life, they must be his loyal subject.’ Alex thought, looking at the seventeen Beastmen silently standing in a group.
“Emperor Melvin, I appreciate your cooperation, But before we discuss anything, I want to know how did you locate my immortal adventurer contacts?” Alex said, even though he was certain about the answer.
“Sir Azgral, people helped us locate your immortal adventurer friend, and how they knew about him that I don’t know because the truth is only known to them,” Melvin said, looking toward the Beastmen group leader.
“Domain Ruler, My Name is Azgral Taweret, and I am the current patriarch of the Taweret clan.” The beast men, a peak seven Rank warrior, came forward and introduced himself.
‘He is the Taweret clan patriarch?’ Alex thought, instantly remembering that Yanric, the Beastmen he made a business deal with, was also a member of the same clan.
‘All of this couldn’t be a coincidence.’ Alex thought, looking at Azgral.
“I know you have many questions that you would like to get answered, and I am willing to answer all of them to the best of my ability, but we need to find a more private place for our conversation.”
“I will be waiting outside the throne room,” Azgral said, and then he and his group walked to the throne room door.
