Monster Integration - #3622 - 3622 Kratinameros
I turned toward the direction where my soul wave had caught something and spread my soul sense toward it.
The faint aura I had sensed was unlike anything I had sensed before.
At first, I thought it was a monster, but it was far more chaotic than any aura of the monster, I had sensed. The level of chaos I felt from it is even greater than that of the Grimms.
Though I wish, I could sense it more clearly, what I am sensing is extremely faint.
I slowly moved toward it, carefully; understanding that there was a high chance that what I may find wouldn’t be friendly to me.
I even felt like I should run away as far as possible. I had got that feeling under control and continued moving forward, with my soul sense spreading further and further.
Nine minutes and fourteen seconds later, the aura suddenly got denser, and I felt all the hairs on my body standing up. I had stopped for a moment before walking forward.
This time, I am even more careful; every step, I take is filled with cautiousness.
Two and a half minutes later, my soul sense reached the thing, and when I saw what it was; I shuddered from deep within my soul.
It affected my emotions so much that I nearly lost control of my powers.
It took me a while to get control of my emotions, and I looked at things. My soul sense was showing me.
The abominations are the biggest threat to our universe. They came from other universes, but they were not the first. The thing I am seeing said to be the first big foreign threat that the universe had ever faced.
There is not much information about where they came from aside from being. They are from a foreign universe, but there is enough information on how to deal with them.
Especially, what not to do when facing an enemy like this.
It is the energy that kills more horrifically and is a mistake. People will beg for death, and it won’t come easily.
The thing looked like a spider, but with long hairless skinny legs, which were as sharp as a sword. It had a cylindrical skinny head pointed at the top and a long vertical mouth, which covered nearly all of its head.
There are six eyes, three on each side, and four long sharp arms attached to its long cylindrical dead.
The thing is called Kratinameros; most referred to it as a critter, a harmless name for a threat, that nearly destroyed our world.
The critters had come right after the inception of the universe; the time, when the titans were being born.
It is an Earth Sovereign, and its aura is somewhere around Mid-High Earth Sovereign. These beings didn’t perfectly fold into the sublevels.
Making it hard to gauge it.
I wanted to run away, but I found my feet moving toward it, while my heart begin to beat in excitement.
This is a foe, that one rarely comes across and it would be regretted to not fight it, but if I am in a place, I think, I am, then it would be a mistake to fight it. I would be swallowed by the tide of it before I get a chance to run away.
Twelve balls came out of me; they were red as ruby, but one could also spot green runes inside them.
If one looks closely, they will even find a formation made of the ancient runes. It is my newest creation, which I finished forging three weeks ago.
I had used a few very rare materials. My heart pained when I had used those, but creating this was also necessary and I really hoped; the balls would work as I expected, even against this enemy or I would pay a great prize.
The critter is looking at the spot; a place where there are only torn clothes and artifacts.
A person has appeared here, but looking at the things; they have died. I don’t think the critter had killed them, which I think, is the greatest mercy. If they had been caught by it; they can forget having a peaceful death.
A few minutes passed, and I had reached a mile away from it.
It didn’t discover me, seeing that I couldn’t help but feel proud of my stealth method. Even in suppressive conditions like this, it had kept me hidden.
It was especially amazing when I entered its range.
It had formed a sensory circle around itself; it is 1.36 miles in diameter and pretty good. Even most Peak Sovereigns wouldn’t be able to hide inside the moment they entered its range.
I continued moving forward before it had finally discovered me. Though, by that time, only seven hundred meters had remained between us.
Its cylindrical head shifted toward me, and all six eyes focused on me.
Trrrrrr!
It let out a weird high-pitched voice with a hint of metal, and the moment I heard it, I felt a headache.
It looked at me for a moment, before it came at me, with an incredible speed. It is faster than I had thought it would be, which made me somber.
Some part of me even wanted me to escape; saying this shouldn’t be the enemy, I should be fighting.
Not because of its power, but because of the things I know about it. They had terrified me.
Unfortunately, if this is the place, I think it is, then fighting is the only choice, I will have to get out. However, I didn’t think about the fact that if I am here alone or with Earth-Sovereigns only, then I could forget to escape this place.
I appeared in front of me and attacked me, with its sharp, hairless leathery limbs. That came at me, tearing through the air.
I moved immediately; it was attacking me with all four long limbs. I also know that it will attack me with its legs if given a chance.
I looked at its eyes as I swung my rapier; they contained all sorts of emotions swirling chaotically, but I could also see the intelligence in them.
These critters are said to be far smarter than the monsters and, seeing that intelligence, I do not doubt it.
Clang!
My sword clashed with it and immediately was surprised. It is not the lack of energy that surprised me, but the toughness of its limp.
The clash was able to chip away, only a tiny part of its bladed limb.
If it had been any Grimm or native or monster; my sword would have torn through them, but here, there was no such thing.
Trrrr Treee
Its eyes flashed, and it made that strange noise again. I could see it was confused. To its mind, its attack should have cut into two, but not only I had dodged all its attacks, but I also stopped its attack, faintly injuring it.
Hun!
It isn’t the only one, who is feeling intense emotions; I am feeling those too.
I had just sensed something, and it shocked me. Well, I shouldn’t have been. If it could happen with the Grimms, then it might happen with the critter too.
“Well, it seemed like. Now, really have to kill you,” I said to it; not that, I would have let it leave.
I had planned on killing it, the moment I sensed it. My very being demanded it.
