Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer - #2087 - 2087 Meeting
Dove looked at Sam intently and asked.
“You know about the real one? How can you possibly know that? It is a practice that has been stopped centuries ago. Are you joking with me?”
“Nope. I have been through the real thing. Not just me, there are a few more people within the Academy realm who have done so. So, don’t sweat it. I am sure I can handle whatever a simulation can offer.
In fact, I am looking forward to it.”
Dove wanted to say Sam is lying, but his tone and expressions suggested otherwise.
“How is it possible?” Dove asked.
Sam smiled once again and asked.
“Even if I tell you, it would be very hard to believe and I am not in a mood to go through the quest of convincing you. Let’s just say it is a well-preserved secret.
Anyway, I want to ask you something.”
“What is it?”
“Is there any time in the history of the Academy realm where the academies waged wars against each other?”
Dove frowned and asked.
“Why do you ask?”
“No, just wondering. With how chaotic the things are, I wouldn’t be surprised if the academies take action against each other. What if one academy tries to break the rules and do something to the students of other academies? What would happen?”
Dove thought for a moment and said.
“There are actually incidents like that before. However, they wouldn’t be registered as the wars between academies, instead all the events that are part of the war are recorded individually.
For example, you must have read about the battle of Draconic dimension.”
“Yeah, I read about it.”
“It was two academies competing to conquer a pocket dimension. It is between the Apollo Academy and Agni Academy. The conflict started way before that and rightfully the dimension should have belonged to Agni Academy.
However, the Apollo academy students fought with them to conquer that dimension as part of the ongoing war.
Not only did they lose, Agni academy even retaliated by conquering one of the external territories under the Apollo Academy. They suffered some serious loss of resources.”
“So, wars happen in the guise of rivalries and competitions. Good to know. Has the Gambler academy has been in any wars before?”
“I believe there is one after a decade or so of Gambler Academy’s establishment, but after that nobody wants a war like that with the Gambler’s Academy.”
“Really? With all the heat they give Gambler’s Academy, they didn’t challenge it to that extent?”
“No. It is said that after the first war, the Gambler Academy left a deep impression on the other Academies. They didn’t want a war after that.”
“That’s impressive. I wonder if I can get an accurate record of that.”
“Sam, if you are thinking of doing something stupid, it is better for you to let me know now.”
“Not really.”
“Then, why are you asking these questions?”
“As you can see I am great at pissing people off and I have no intention of stopping it. However, I am good at playing within the rules, but I doubt the same can be applicable to the Zeus Academy. I wanted to know if the Gambler Academy will have my back if push comes to shove.
But now that I think about it, I highly doubt it. All I had was increasing hostility from the other members since the day I joined. I doubt you guys will be involved.”
“That’s not true.” Dove stopped walking and spoke.
Sam turned back and looked at her, waiting for her to speak.
“No matter, what kind of differences we have between each other, that is all the business of Gambler Academy. When it comes to the outsiders, we are always one.
There is a reason why the Gambler’s Academy doesn’t participate in the external competitions that much. It is because the competition within the Academy is way too high. You might have received the most hostility this year, but every year there is one or the other who attracted attention just like you.
Of course, you were a bit over the top compared to them.
In short, all I want to say is, if the Zeus Academy or any other academy thinks they can get away with harming our students, you are wrong.
All that will happen is the world will be reminded once again, why they never wanted a war with Gambler’s Academy in the first place.”
She walked off.
Sam just shrugged and muttered.
“Good to know and you guys better get ready.”
Sam left and the next day was pretty uneventful. Everything was normal and the next day after that is the meeting between Sam and Ivar’s friends.
They all came on time and Sam was already waiting for them. It is a group of eight people. There are five men, including Ivar and three women. All of them had an aura just as dangerous as Ivar. Different but equally dangerous.
“Welcome everyone, please take a seat.”
Ivar smiled and shook Sam’s hand before speaking.
“Everyone, this is the young man I told you about. Sam. The creator of the hub, current grade 1 student of the Gambler Academy and the most dominant student that every existed in the history of Academy realm.
If you think that we pissed off instructors, you haven’t see what this guy has done until now.
Just for his sake, let’s introduce ourselves one by one. Even though he knows me, I will start.
“I am Ivar. Former Student of Thor Academy. Divine Plane Consummate Stage cultivation, Initial Stage.”
Sam nodded at him. That is Ivar’s strength. When he left the Thor Academy, he was at the peak of Divine Plane Transcendent stage and at that very stage he killed at instructor who was at Divine Plane Consummate stage.
It was his most famous feat.
No one in the current Academy realm knows his exact cultivation level. Even the Elder that he chopped the hand of is a person Middle stage consummate stage cultivation.
The person next to Ivar raised his cup and greeted Sam before introducing himself.
“I am Icarus. Former Student of Zeus Academy. Current Cultivation Divine Plane Consummation, Initial stage. Nice to meet you.”
Sam nodded at him. He is the one that was suppressed by Elders of the Zeus Academy. The one who first found out about the incident the Elders caused.
“You can call me Lan, Former Student of Hou Yi’s Academy. Divine Plane Consummation Initial stage.”
The woman that sat next to Icarus spoke.
They went to introduce themselves the rest are all at Divine Plane Peak stage Transcendence.
Daksh a man formerly from Indra’s Academy in Santan Region. The same region as Karthikeya Academy, Aranya Academy, etc.
Michael from the Archangel academy.
Khufu a man formerly from Set’s Academy
Miko a woman formerly from Susano’s Academy
Ayita from Coyote Academy.
In the Academy realm, there are four major regions which are occupied by four big groups of gods. The biggest them is the Olympian region. Followed by Xia, Norse and then Sanatan.
The remaining area is divided into four more regions apart from the major four and the Archangel Academy, Susano’s Academy, Coyote Academy are some of the best Academies that don’t fall under the four major regions.
After introducing themselves to Sam, Sam also reciprocated their greeting.
“I am sure, you all have your doubts. After all, why should you be following orders or taking instructions from a Grade 1 student, meanwhile you guys were legends in the Academy realm. Your stories are still popular among the students.
However, all I can say is that I am your only shot at achieving what you want to achieve.”
Icarus cleared his throat and looked at Sam.
He has dirty blonde hair and he looked way too handsome. If not for the bloodthirsty aura around him, people would mistake him for a pretty boy.
“I wouldn’t ask too many questions. Ivar told me what you are trying to do and it is undeniable that your goals along with everyone’s goal at this table.
But as you said, your cultivation level is way too low. It is hard for us to imagine how you can assist us. And all of us here might work with each other occasionally, we exchange information and come to each other’s aid when necessary.
Still, we are used to work alone. Much less working together, you are asking us to work together under your instructions.
Asking for a little convincing is not too much, I believe.”
“Of course, I can understand that.
The first thing I can offer you is information.”
“Information?”
Lan asked a bit doubtfully. She is someone who is skilled in scouting and gathering information. Even the small force she manages is specialized in it and there isn’t much competition for her.
Sam smiled and waved his hand a few formation discs flew over and landed on the table, projecting virtual screens.
A video is playing. It is Elder Minsk talking to his subordinates.
