Episode 112. Wanted! (One)
Day 5 of the environmental adaptation test.
Even after a long time had passed since the start of the exam, the assistant principal sighed and put Deckard in as the moderator at the sight of Professor Magad, who only looked at his pupils happily without saying a word.
“Successful escape from the Swift team! Should I say it’s like a Miracle Child? They passed the test at an overwhelming speed compared to other teams that only survived. How do you see Professor Magic?”
“It was a performance that was possible because of the individual’s ability to support it. It’s still great now, but I wonder what it would have been like if I had trusted the team a little more.”
First day. Swift built a dome-shaped safety zone with the Chilling siblings to block the lava rain, but when Dawson made one mistake, she excluded them from the operation and maintained the safety zone with only her own strength.
When Magad mentioned this, Deckard nodded in response.
“As Professor Magad said, as long as it is a group mission, the arbitrariness of Swift students will also be reflected in the score. Oh, you wake up the moment you say it. Let’s do an interview. Swift student, how did you feel?”
Swift was taken aback for a moment by Deckard pointing the microphone at first, but he quickly recognized the current situation and opened his mouth.
“It was not an easy test.”
“What part?”
“It was also difficult to stop the continuous flow of lava, but the biggest problem was that I had to entrust my life to someone else.”
Since Swift had overcome most of the problems so far by herself, this test of trusting others was a very unfamiliar experience.
“It sounds like you didn’t trust your teammates.”
“It was.”
“What would you do if something like this actually happened?”
Interviews are also part of the exam. Swift wasn’t ignorant of this, but instead of talking about scoring points, he spoke of his convictions.
“I will do the same as now.”
“Why?”
“If I can block the variables that can occur at any time with a little overkill. I will do it a hundred times or a thousand times.”
wow!
As the audience applauded his remarks, Deckard shrugged his shoulders and naturally moved to another student’s interview.
Swift responded politely to the cheers of the crowd, then turned to the large holoboard to see how the other teams were testing.
“… under.”
The last column among the split screens. I couldn’t help but burst out laughing when I saw the ant den.
Nam Man-hyeok and the ants move in harmony with Nam Man-hyuk, who sits cross-legged on the roof of a traditional Korean two-story tiled house and gives instructions to a giant pink ant.
There was no tension anywhere. Except for the occasional time when Grace Melon and Margaret Yevrovich hunt ants that are expected to belong to different affiliations, peace itself.
“ね.”
It was Swift, who was somehow saddened by herself, who had struggled desperately to survive.
* * *
The reason the test ended with a few hours left was that we were the last team.
I had filled out all the test items that were arranged for dealing with anteaters, so I didn’t need to do anything more.
Anyway, as we endured 10 days, more time passed than expected, and the final exam was postponed to the next day in consideration of the fatigue of the spectators and students.
After returning to the academy and taking a day off, we gathered in the auditorium instead of the Olympic Stadium.
“Suddenly, an international match was scheduled and we were unable to rent the stadium. Instead, we have people who will broadcast you as you take the exam.”
The back door of the auditorium opens and a crowd of about 20 people rises onto the stage.
‘Hey, it’s expensive. yes?’
All of them had high-end drone cameras floating around my body, but the woman standing slumped on the tip of the head was holding only one body cam.
“They are professional hero streamers. I don’t have time to introduce each of you, so please say hello later. Now, whoever calls you from now on, please come forward. He is the leader of the final exam.”
Deckard calls his name, adding that the team leader is decided by grades.
“Swift, Margaret Yevsovic, Grace Mellon, Antonio Goldwood, Homing Bow, Tracy Gwen, Sujeong Do.”
I murmured from all sides, and the children’s eyes turned to me.
The score I got in the environmental adaptation test that was released the night before was truly unique. I didn’t miss the 1st place in the previous exams, too, so if the team leaders were selected in order of grades as Deckard said, it would be strange that I wasn’t there.
It’s good that I don’t take on a cumbersome job like a team leader.
Perhaps the streamers have pre-determined who will be in charge of the students, or when the children climb up, they naturally come and stand next to them.
In particular, a middle-aged man with sparse hair clings to Swift and farts.
Tsutsui, Swift wouldn’t like that.
He’s a guy who’s been getting a lot of attention from the public, so anyone who spreads slanderous rumors for his own benefit will recognize him like a ghost.
Not surprisingly, Swift glared at him and took a step away from him. A middle-aged man with hair loss opens his mouth as if in shock.
“Professor Deckard. Is it correct to select team leaders based on grades?”
Deckard scratched the back of his head and grinned as Tracey Gwen asked me boldly, pointing at me.
“There was an instruction from the vice-principal. The team members with Nam Man-hyuk are difficult to score. The final test will be done alone.”
I’m not talking about seeing Queen or Margaret working hard in the ant den, maybe it’s because of the B-Class trio.
As the other kids were convinced, the topic changed from talking about me to which team I joined.
“You’re taking the exam by yourself?”
“Okay, so it’s relatively easy. Suck!”
“Even if there is a little competition, it would be better to shoot a student who will definitely become a major hero. Whoa!”
On the stage of the auditorium, murmurs of streamers unaware that voice amplification magic was applied resounded.
Their faces turned red, and they hid themselves from the crowds around Swift.
Deckard glanced around the organized hall, found a woman far away alone and approached him and asked.
“What would you do, Mi-Joo Choi?”
“Oh, I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing. Are you okay?”
“Yes, it doesn’t matter.”
A you tuber called Choi Mi-joo comes down from the podium and comes to my side.
“Thank you.”
The hand that asked for a handshake had many calluses for his age, the suit he was wearing was one size larger than his physique, and the two buttons on the sleeves had different designs.
“okay.”
There is no response even though he spoke half. Feeling like you don’t care at all. She constantly checks her smartphone to see if she’s chatting… No, a smartphone? What era do you use such relics?
“I will notify you of the contents of the exam. Please focus.”
The noisy auditorium became as quiet as a lie.
“The final exam is practice.”
When Deckard presses the remote control he was holding, the faces of eight professors appear on the board alone in the auditorium.

“If you catch one of these people and come back, it will be a success. Yes, Do Su-jeong student. Please speak.”
Deckard asks a question before Sujeong Do raises her hand. Do Sujeong, who had a surprised expression on her face, opened her mouth.
“Is returning to the auditorium a test?”
“Yes. A wanted criminal will run away whenever he has a chance to escape. Think of it as a real situation. Any other questions will be answered once the team is formed. Now, students, please feel free to choose a team leader. There is no limit on the number of people.”
A large number of children flocked to the team leader from Class A, Homing Bow took all the children from Class B, and those from Class F formed a team of between 3 and 5 people each.
“Now that the team is decided, it’s time to choose a wanted culprit. Choose from the smallest number of people.”
“Oh yea!”
Do Su-jeong, who was discouraged by the lack of team members, cheered and stepped forward, and picked up a man’s wanted badge without any hesitation.
“Is there any reason you chose it?”

[Current Location: Somewhere on the campus of Seoul Hero Academy]
Professor Deckard’s face was drawn.
“I thought it was suitable for our number of people.”
“That’s reasonable. Okay. Next, Tracy Gwen?”
Instead of answering, Tracy draws Professor Geta’s wanted badge.
“The reason is because I want to learn something.”
“okay.”
Learn from Geta, who is famous for various dirty scandals. In fact, it is said that there are some abilities that have not been cut yet, so if you look carefully, there will be things to learn.
When all the teams had decided, Deckard handed over the last remaining badges to me.
Tears on his gray hair. Slightly lowered glasses and tightly closed lips.

consensus.
“We assume all wanted criminals are villains. Don’t hesitate if you need to use violence. That is all.”
beep—
As Deckard finished speaking, a whistle was heard, and the children scattered in search of the professor.
‘It’s annoying.’
Why did a person who didn’t even come close to the school gate go to the National Assembly?
“Think of me as someone I don’t have!”
Choi Mi-joo looking at her with ambitious eyes. I ignored her request and left the auditorium.
“Hold on, let’s go!”
* * *
The Korean National Assembly.
“Does that make sense! No matter how world-class Hero Academy is, it is a land that exists in Korea!”
“Extraterritorial rights? Anyone who hears would know that this is the era of imperialism. Hey, don’t be silly and if you’re a woman, cook like a woman at home!”
As the two members of the House of Representatives elected this year raised their voices, the presbytery members desperately kept their poker faces and distanced themselves from them.
“Rep. Jeon Gyeong-cheol. You have to speak straight. There is no academy in Korea. There is a country called Korea around our Seoul Hero Academy.”
“What nonsense!”
“Are you crazy?”
Despite the fierce reaction of the two lawmakers, Priscilla Rudra continued her speech without agitation.
“Because of the heroes we produced, we are able to use the name of the Republic of Korea until now. Isn’t it? Nakamoto-san.”
If it wasn’t for you, you would be a Japanese by now.
“At first, we were exercising extraterritorial power. If you come now and add a line to the paper, nothing will change. The academy is still an academy. Korea is Korean.”
There is no legislator who does not know the characteristics of Priscilla Rudra except those two newcomers. In particular, those who knew her sympathy and her age, who knew her weak days, couldn’t even make eye contact.
If the academy would keep the seat, it wouldn’t cause any problems, so the majority of lawmakers were about to press for approval.
bang!
A relatively young member of the legislature stood up beating the desk.
“There is a difference between tacitly acknowledging and formally acknowledging it. Seniors, this is the agenda. You must never agree.”
Rep. Yang Hyo-min, famous as a politician who catches villains, actively opposed it.
“What is the difference?”
“Do you know how students will be treated and grant extraterritorial powers!”
