The Spoon Villain Is Obsessed with the Hero Again Today - Chapter 50
50 – Physical Fitness Test (2)
The physical fitness test is conducted from Monday to Friday, spanning a total of 5 days.
Since it involves all combatants and students, it naturally takes a considerable amount of time. Therefore, they’ve generously allocated a week for it.
“Left eye, 0.3; right eye, 0.2. Looks like you need to wear glasses.”
On the first day, they measure basic physical examinations and exercise ability.
Currently, I was at the vision testing area with my glasses on.
“Next, please.”
Before I knew it, it was my turn. I placed both feet in front of the line drawn on the floor. Then, I looked at the vision test chart.
“Starting from the left. You can use the eye patch next to you… Huh?”
The duty officer and the assistant conducting the examination seemed slightly taken aback, their eyebrows twitching as they glanced at the spoon gripped in my hand.
“Are you going to cover your eyes with that spoon?”
“Is that not allowed?”
“No, it’s not like that exactly…”
As long as I covered my eyes somehow, it didn’t seem to matter. The assistant readily allowed me to use the spoon.
As a result,
“Left eye 2.0, right eye 1.5. Looks like you won’t need glasses.”
Beep!
As the examination concluded, the assistant scanned my smartwatch with a wireless reader. It indicated that the examination was over.
“Now you can head to the physical ability examination area.”
“Okay.”
I nodded lightly and exited the vision testing area.
“Hmm, a 0.5 difference…”
They recorded different vision readings for each eye. It was inevitable. When testing one eye, I had employed a blind side skill.
Between my eye and the spoon, it was an experiment to see which one had better vision.
The result favored the spoon. It was precisely 0.5 better than my eye.
I’m not sure whether to be happy or sad about this.
“This is ridiculous…”
While heading towards the physical ability examination area, I stumbled upon Arna, who seemed lost in despair.
“When did I gain so much weight…? I’ve been meticulous with my diet…”
Arna trembled, staring at the physical examination form, their face turning pale.
I tried to sneak a peek.
“Eek!”
But I failed immediately. Arna sensed my presence. Hastily, they folded the form and turned their back.
“What…! Why are you suddenly sneaking up on me…!”
“Why are you so startled? I didn’t do anything.”
“What…! You were trying to steal a glance at my examination form just now!”
Arna had tightly concealed the examination form deep in their pocket. There seemed to be something they didn’t want me to see.
“Why the fuss? You’re not a kid; why so embarrassed? It’s just a weight or… hmm?”
I paused mid-sentence.
In that state, he raised his head once and asked Arna with a slight smile.
“Could it be because of your weight?”
“…!”
It seemed like the correct answer. Arna, with her mouth tightly shut, began to sweat coldly.
Well, it’s ridiculous that someone called a hero wastes emotions just because of a mere weight. It’s really not funny at all.
“Ugh…! What’s with that look…? Are you teasing me now…?”
“Yeah. It’s because it’s so pathetic.”
Just a few days ago, Arna mocked me, saying I didn’t have a single friend. But now, the situation has reversed.
Once again, I was in a position to tease Arna.
“So, eat moderately this time.”
“Iiiik…!”
“So, how much is your weight this time? Did you compete for a record? If you gained more than before, at least 6….”
“Shut your mouth!”
Thunk!
The moment I spit out specific numbers, Arna immediately jabbed me.
Trying to shut someone’s mouth with violence is unfair.
I just stated the facts.

After the basic physical examination was over, it was time for the fitness test.
The test took place in the outdoor training ground.
─ 3m 40cm!
─ Ohh…!
The scene was almost the same as last week. Students running along the track, students struggling to jump further, it was all hard work.
─ That student who just jumped, what was his record last semester?
─ It was 3m 25cm. He jumped 15cm further this time.
─ Hmm. He’s growing well. Keep an eye on him.
─ Yes, Guild Leader.
However, the only difference from last week was the presence of outsiders. As planned, many guild officials participated in this fitness test.
Everyone had a look of excitement and eagerness to explore good talents.
“….”
“Well, it probably doesn’t have much to do with me. I decided to continue on my way.”
“Hmm?”
Then, a familiar face caught my eye. It was a line for standing long jumps. I spotted Baek Ju-hee.
Let’s go and say something.
“Hey, long time no see, messy one.”
“Ah…!”
As soon as Baek Ju-hee heard my voice, she instinctively wrapped her head. She acted defensively.
“No need to be so jumpy. I left the spoon at home.”
“R-really…?”
After confirming the lack of a spoon, Baek Ju-hee finally lowered her arms.
“Just kidding. The spoon is right here.”
“Ah…!”
When I pulled out the spoon from my pocket, Baek Ju-hee screamed again, even louder than before.
This is getting interesting.
“What on earth! Are you picking a fight with me?”
“A fight? I just came to say hello.”
“Who greets someone like that!”
Someone might think I did something wrong. I only came here to say hello, nothing else.
At least today, I won’t hit anyone with a spoon or anything. It’s a pleasant physical fitness test day.
“Right. Actually, I wanted to ask you something.”
Since I met Baek Ju-hee like this, it would be a bit regrettable to just leave. So, I asked her:
“Have you happened to meet Kang Tae-hoon recently?”
“Huh? Kang Tae-hoon?”
She seemed slightly surprised at the mention of Kang Tae-hoon from me.
“Why? What about him all of a sudden?”
“I haven’t seen him around lately. Do you know anything?”
It doesn’t seem like he took a leave of absence or dropped out. If he did, rumors would have spread by now.
Kang Tae-hoon is still at this school. But I don’t really know where exactly. I haven’t seen his face around.
Is he attending classes?
“Well, my last contact with him was about two weeks ago, so I can’t say for sure….”
Baek Joo-hee opened her mouth, wondering if there was anything Kang Tae-hoon knew.
“I heard Kang Tae-hoon has been going to the hospital lately.”
“Hospital? Is there something wrong with him?”
“Well, I don’t know the details.”
Goodness. Kang Tae-hoon is going to the hospital. Did he get into a big accident or something? Unnecessary worries started creeping in.
I should send him a DM later just to check on his well-being.
Thud─!
─4 meters 10 centimeters…!
─Waaah…!
At that moment, a loud cheer erupted around the long jump booth.
Clap clap clap─!
Guild officials were applauding with both hands, and reporters were busy capturing the scene with flashes to not miss a moment.
─4 meters 10 centimeters? Is there really such a monster?
─Unbelievable! Can someone achieve that with pure physical ability? Hey, record keeper! Are you sure he didn’t use magic?
─It’s definitely Rashid Belkale. His physique alone is beyond even Arna.
It was the moment when the long jump record was set. As if reluctant to let go, everyone’s gaze remained fixed on the track.
─…
Currently, there was a young male student standing alone on the track.
A towering height easily surpassing 2 meters 30 centimeters, a healthy complexion boasting radiant bronze skin, and muscles swollen as if he had swallowed a bowl of Lloyd.
A perfect physique adorned the warrior who had captured everyone’s attention.
Thud. Thud.
However, even in front of the record, Rashid Belkalem showed no signs of joy. He tightly closed his thick lips like a block of preserved roe and silently left the track.
The ground trembled with each step he took.
“Goodness. If you collide with such a guy, you won’t even have bones left.”
Baek Joo-hee touched her arm absentmindedly, sticking out her tongue.
No matter how much of a tomboy she was, she couldn’t handle such a giant.
Well, she understood. He was almost like a walking tank. Truly a human weapon.
It could be considered death at the slightest touch.
─Next! Is there another student next?
“Is there anyone else to jump next?” the host shouted. The starting line was empty.
“Rashid, are you up for the next jump… a bit hesitant?”
“I’ll just do something else first and come back.”
No one raised their hand willingly. Just moments ago, a record had been set, and who would be ready to go right after that?
It would only be embarrassing to step forward for no reason.
“I’ll jump.”
However, even in such a situation, I confidently raised my hand. I said I would jump.
“Oh, Spoon. Are you the one jumping this time?”
Someone welcomed me from the starting line. It was the guy with tattoos. He was doing record-keeping as a temporary job.
“Heh, confident, huh? Just because Rashid jumped a moment ago.”
“It’s noisy; let’s get on with it.”
I didn’t care about records or anything from the start. I just wanted to finish this stamina test quickly and go rest in my room.
“Tsk, dull.”
Finishing his words, the guy with tattoos put a whistle in his mouth.
Soon, the signal echoed throughout the entire track.
Beep─!
Still, I didn’t intend to do it haphazardly. I had to show at least a minimum of sincerity.
I corrected my posture.
“Hoo….”
A single deep breath. Then I moved my arms back and forth. It was to generate momentum in my body.
Once I gathered enough strength, it was time to leap. I forcefully propelled myself off the springboard and jumped high.
Thud─!
Even in the moment suspended in the air, I didn’t spare any effort. I exerted all my strength to go even a centimeter further.
Thunk─!
Then came a perfect landing. I touched down on both feet smoothly without any wobbling.
Quickly straightening my knees, I checked the record.
“4 meters 30 centimeters….”
I went 20 centimeters further than Rashid Belcalm earlier. It was a moment when the record was refreshed less than five minutes later.
….
The guild officials gathered around seemed quite surprised, unable to speak, just staring silently with widened eyes.
After Rashid, another monster appeared on the track…
“Jjasha…!”
Bang─!
While I was immersed in the excitement, someone hit me on the back of my head.
It was a tattooed guy.
“What do you think you’re doing, using magic as you please! Go back again!”
“Yes….”
Ugh. I got caught right away.
I went back to the starting line for another attempt.
