The Villainess Whom I Had Served for 13 Years Has Fallen - Chapter 6
6 – Take Responsibility -1-
[Ruien Lv. 35]
[Occupation: Academy Student]
[Affection: -70]
[Favorite Conversation Topic: Yuria]
[Disliked Conversation Topic: Inferiority about magic]
With a heart filled with a desire for humility, I gently pressed Ruin’s head. A cute sound emanated.
“Eek. Sto… Stop it! Let go!”
The noisy sound, like the squeaky shoes that kids wear, resonated loudly. I was strangely getting addicted to it.
Ruin struggled. It seemed that my admonishing touch wasn’t to his liking.
“Don’t move. You’ll dirty the floor.”
It’s a pain to clean.
There were small cracks in the marble floor. I thought I should cover his mouth, but it seems I used more force than intended. But what can you do? It’s infuriating.
I decided to blame Ruin.
That arrogant brat.
I couldn’t stand the pretense of friendliness with his smug face.
“Ruin.”
“You jerk.”
Tsk. Ruin’s teeth gritted as I responded, applying more pressure to his head.
“When someone calls you, respond with humility. Got it?”
I added one more thing.
“Oh, right. And don’t swear in this mansion.”
Swearing in this mansion is reserved for Olivia alone.
Not even I can use it.
And certainly not outsiders.
It’s a rule established since the lady was three years old. Even though it’s my house, she does whatever she pleases, and I, as the butler, have to comply.
Even though it’s irritating to deal with guests who don’t know basic manners, it’s the butler’s virtue to show kindness even to such guests. I decided to explain this despite the annoyance.
Swearing is not good after all.
“I already mentioned it at the academy, didn’t I? When speaking, one must distinguish between time and place.”
“Don’t try to teach me, you brat!”
“Don’t shout. You’ll wake the lady.”
I pressed Ruin’s head humbly once more, as he seemed to be losing his initial enthusiasm.
Ruin twisted his body vigorously.
Then, he conjured a red sphere in his hand once again.
Quickly getting up, Ruin unleashed a fireball onto my face. This guy’s head is green, so why does he use fire magic? He’s truly a fellow who knows nothing about romance.
Amid reproaching Lune for losing his romanticism, the fervent orb conjured by Lune was about to hit his face.
I didn’t dodge.
It wasn’t particularly forceful or threatening since it was hastily created.
-Thunk!
[“Flame Resistance” neutralizes Lune’s magic.]
With a small alert, Lune’s conjured orb fizzled out abruptly. As the dazzling light faded, Lune appeared foolish.
I seized Lune’s wrist and slammed him to the ground.
Thud.
“Screaaam!!”
“Hush.”
I humbly brought down my hand on Lune’s head again.
“And yet you think you’ll survive like this!”
“Do you think you’d survive acting like this?”
Lune whined like a third-rate villain.
He simply didn’t look like the supporting male lead.
He might have a crush on the main heroine, whose name is on the window, ‘Yuria’. But she’s destined to treat him like a dog in the original story.
Though he looked pleasant like a sunflower, I pitied Lune’s future of facing rejection as a mere good friend in the original story.
“Get a grip. Instead of whining to Yuria every day about being neglected, at least improve your score by doing some quests.”
“Don’t ignore me!”
“I don’t want to ignore you either, but you’re just too pitiful.”
Indeed, Lune is overwhelmingly strong.
In the novel, he starts to awaken significantly by rescuing the female lead from threats. Yet, even before his awakening, Lune was already on the strong side.
He’s just too lacking in choosing his opponents.
Like Mikhail.
Or the Third Princess.
He even got rejected by Olivia like a dog.
“If you get brushed off every day, it’s embarrassing. Choose someone less trivial.”
I deliberately prodded Lune’s sore spot.
If you dish it out, you should be able to take it.
It’s not something nice to say.
When I think about what these bastards did to me at the Academy, what I do is no different from being a fairy.
And I am the villain’s butler.
If you ask whether I’m good or bad, I belong to the bad side.
Of course, I’m a good person, but since my job is the villain’s butler, I can’t just be used and beaten like a fool.
Retribution is a kind of occupational disease.
Rooin, who must be cursing me and wanting to escape from my grasp at this very moment, thrashed around.
Bang, bang, bang, sparks exploded from my hands.
A cold back.
He must be continuously casting magic.
It would be nice if he just stayed still like a fish, but unfortunately my hands were the only things I had.
“Haven’t you changed at all in a year?”
In response to the magic weaker than a mosquito, I shouted my status window in my mind.

A status window that looks solid to anyone.
It contained the essence of the past 13 years.
Personally, I believe that the protagonist of the novel, whose main focus is rejuvenation, healing, and mana flow, should have the basic virtue of being immune to death.
It’s not a choice, but a necessity.
Assassination always follows the protagonist.
There will undoubtedly be a clear villain who envies the protagonist and eventually someone who wants to assassinate them.
I was afraid of such things.
Because I am someone who knows the future.
No matter how much I try to live quietly, I’m bound to stand out. Even if I try to act like I don’t know, as a transmigrator, I can only pretend to know.
If I transmigrated, my first priority should be my health.
That’s why I willingly drank poison with the villainess. The reason was simple – to build resistance in my body.
-Ricardo, it hurts.
-It’s okay. It’s good for your body.
-It must have been because of the mushroom soup you made earlier.
-How was the mushroom?
-It was splendid. Really.
-That’s a good thing.
The prepared ones are strong.
So I accumulated many abilities related to resistance.
I built resistance using the original work.
I sharpened my senses to the extent that it wouldn’t interfere with the story and made my body sturdy.
And I sucked up honey through favorability quests.
It has been 13 years since I transmigrated, so it’s right to shed the transmigrator label if I let myself be stepped on by a mere supporting male lead.
As I looked at the status window with a satisfied smile,
“Hiccup!”
I heard a hiccup.
It was a sound made by Hanna, the companion of the arrogant bastard. She was staring at me, hiccuping.
“Hiccup…”
“Oh…”
“Hik… Hup… Squeak!”
My junior fumbling with their hands, unable to make up their mind.
I felt embarrassed by their awkward appearance.
“I apologize for showing you such a sight. I got too excited meeting a friend after a long time.”
“A friend…?”
“Yes, a friend.”
Hanna wanted to go home.
Ignoring her feelings, I continued my deep conversation with the guest.
“Ruin.”
“This monster’s offspring.”
Sigh…
There was no sign of humility whatsoever.
“I wonder if I should knock them out.”
Crimson aura flowed from my hand.
***
Hanna was wide-eyed.
“Why is that person using an aura?”
The aura is a symbol of talent.
Among exceptional knights, the hierarchy of talent was determined by when they awakened their aura.
The youngest person to awaken their aura in the Empire is 25, so how is this man using it as if it’s a part of his body?
Even Mikhail, a senior renowned as a historical talent at the Academy, hasn’t manifested his aura yet.
– Crack.
Chills ran down Hanna’s spine as she watched the servant playing with Ruin’s head like a toy.
“Who is that person?”
Hanna could only watch this scene quietly.
***
“aaah!! I’ll f***ing kill you!”
“Your voice is too loud.”
Crack.
A ruthless explosion filled the room.
“The lady clearly said to wake up.”
“What’s it to me? Whether that girl wakes up or not, I don’t care!”
“It does matter.”
I said to him.
“Otherwise, you won’t be able to speak for the rest of your life.”
Ruin had no ill feelings.
In fact, I was happy to see a friend after a long time.
Just that, there were many things piled up in the past, so emotions were running high, but I thought we could resolve past issues, have a good conversation, and become friends again.
“Is there still no magic that can represent my voice? If you were the one making it, you’d make a bigger fuss.”
Ruin finally quieted down.
I decided to set a concept for Ruin, who had a mind to converse.
“In the academy, you can curse at me. You can curse at our lady too.”
It’s a place where everyone is equal.
It’s fine to use informal language with the princess in the academy.
There are rules, so you have to follow them.
However, the revenge that follows will be your own problem, but in any case, freedom of speech is guaranteed in the academy.
“But our mansion is different.”
My grip tightened.
I didn’t seem to be angry.
I think the switch has been flipped a little.
‘This is getting dangerous.’
I had a hunch.
If Ruin provokes more, he might end his role as the sub-main character of this guy.
I spoke as calmly as possible, not to provoke Ruin.
“I’m not doing this because I’m worried that you’ll make a mistake outside. You’re not going to live at the academy forever.”
I meant it.
Living happily in the greenhouse-like academy and suddenly saying “Hey, it’s been a while” to the nobles when you step out into society could lead to a catastrophic disaster.
“So, listen well.”
I said this as someone who had experienced society.
“Don’t mess around. If you do, you’ll end up dead.”
I walked towards Hanna, who was trembling and shaking her shoulders.
Startled, she flinched.
I extended my hand to her and said, “I’m sorry.”
“Oh… it’s nothing,” she replied.
I lowered my head with remorse.
“I’m really sorry. I don’t know what to say for showing you such a sight.”
“It’s okay. But I actually have another appointment.”
Hanna quickly grabbed her bag, seeming eager to leave this place as soon as possible. I gently blocked her path.
“No, it’s not necessary. It might take some time for my companion to wake up. Take some rest.”
“It’s alright, really!”
I said firmly, “Go upstairs and rest.”
“What?”
I looked up and glanced at the second floor.
“It’s too noisy… oh, damn it!”
A familiar voice resounded.
I looked back at the unconscious Ruin, feeling the desire to truly kill him.
“Since the young lady woke up, I request you to accompany her.”
If you woke her up, take responsibility.
I had no intention of letting her leave until she put the young lady to sleep again.
