The World After the Bad Ending - Chapter 6
5 – Do Not Skip Event 5
Card Velikman.
He is a notorious blonde troublemaker at Jerion Academy.
Not only does he have no qualms about flirting with girls,
but he also always brings trouble related to them.
In Act 1, he flirts with Lucas’s childhood friend, Isabel, for no reason, leading to a confrontation with Lucas.
Despite his appearance, his skills are surprisingly decent, and Lucas struggles quite a bit.
However, upon hearing Isabel’s encouraging voice, Lucas gathers his strength and defeats Card.
‘A classic development.’
I feel a bit of kinship with him.
After all, I am also one of the extras defeated by the protagonist.
But unlike me, who ends up expelled from the academy,
Card, instead of flirting with Isabel, takes on the role of the protagonist’s advisor and often gives advice related to romance.
Perhaps because of this,
Card has a unique troublesome trait.
‘A meddler.’
Card is a meddler.
In other words, he just talks a lot.
“Master Card, this is Master Hanon Airey. You will be sharing a room from today.”
Upon hearing the introduction from the head maid, Marie, Card looked down at me.
Disguised as Hanon, I am much shorter than him.
Perhaps because of this, Card casually placed his elbow on my head.
Oh, this brat?
“Yeah, I know. This guy is famous.”
Card smirked.
“It’s a relief that you are acquainted. Then, I will take my leave.
Master Hanon, your belongings are inside, so please check them.”
Marie did not pry further.
She is the head maid of the dormitory.
Regardless of rumors, she treats everyone staying in the dormitory equally.
So, as she made a polite bow and left, Card waved his hand at her.
In the meantime, I pushed Card’s arm away.
Then I strode into the room.
“Shorty is being prickly.”
Sorry, but it doesn’t affect me.
My original height is 3 cm taller than yours.
In my original form, Vickerman is a tall, handsome man with a good face and height.
I didn’t respond to Card’s words and checked the bag on the bed.
The neatly organized luggage was still there.
“Konon.”
Card’s voice continued to be heard from behind.
As expected, this meddlesome guy didn’t seem to have any intention of stopping.
Moreover, he had already changed my name to his liking.
Of all things, he chose a name that sounded like a dog.
“Call me by my proper name.”
“Hehe, why? It sounds good. Or are you not confident?”
I looked at him for a moment.
Then I soon laughed briefly.
It’s okay. He’ll find out soon enough.
Card, who didn’t understand the meaning of my meaningful smile, blinked.
Then he shrugged as if it didn’t matter.
“I heard you had a big fight with Isabel.”
Contrary to his appearance, Card belongs to the Department of Magic.
So he didn’t see what happened in the Department of Martial Arts.
“As soon as you arrived, you insulted Lucas? No wonder Isabel freaked out.
She and Lucas were really close. They might have become lovers someday.”
I finished checking the luggage and closed the bag.
No problem.
“Lucas is Isabel’s trigger button. You really hit it well.”
Now I need to wash up and sleep for tomorrow.
There’s still a lot to do.
“Did you do that on purpose?”
And for the first time, I hesitated.
My head slowly turned back.
Then, the card that met my eyes drew a sly smile.
“You did it on purpose for Isabel, didn’t you?”
“I don’t know what nonsense you’re talking about.”
I passed it off nonchalantly.
“Lucas ended up like that, and Isabel has been extremely anxious lately.
Isabel is popular, so everyone around her takes care of her, but nothing changed.”
A childhood friend who had grown up with her all her life had died.
At that point, it was as if a part of Isabel’s heart had collapsed.
“She looked like someone who had lost the will to live, wasting away.
To the point where she didn’t even flinch when I talked to her, just responded and answered.”
It seemed like a story that lowered herself too much.
But the card didn’t seem to care about that and clicked his tongue.
“Honestly, I thought that if Isabel continued like this, she might not recover and could follow Lucas.”
The card saw through Isabel precisely.
No, maybe it wasn’t just the card.
Many people around her felt that Isabel’s condition was not normal.
“Isabel needed something to divert her attention. And then.”
The card pointed directly at me with a thick finger.
“You instilled the driving force of anger in Isabel.”
“That’s an overinterpretation.”
“Of course, it could be an overinterpretation.”
The card didn’t particularly deny it.
Instead, he raised the finger pointing at me.
“So I’m just telling you. Even if it’s just for a while. I want you to be the driving force of anger for Isabel.”
I stared at the card blankly.
“Do you like her or something?”
The card had a history of flirting with Isabel.
So when I asked, Card chuckled.
“I like all women. They’re all charming.”
There was no real sincerity in Card’s eyes as he said that.
“But Isabel is my friend’s childhood friend before anything else.”
My friend.
From noble mtl dot com
I knew well who he was referring to.
The protagonist, Lucas.
It was a term for someone who was no longer here.
“I can’t just stand by and watch my friend’s childhood friend go astray, even for my dead friend’s sake.”
Card genuinely considered Lucas a friend.
A friend who had died.
He didn’t want to see his friend’s childhood friend go wrong either.
Understanding his intention, I packed my bag and pushed it in.
“Don’t worry. I have no intention of retracting my words.”
“Oh, that’s good to hear.”
Whatever it was, he was also worried about Isabel.
Except for being a meddler and hitting on women, Card was originally a good guy.
“So, why are you wearing bandages? Are you cross-dressing by any chance?”
This b*stard?
I straightened my face.
“I’m going to show you.”
Right now.
Even if I was outdone in height by the disguise, I’ll prove that nothing else is lacking.
“Oh, I’m not really interested in men.”
Anyway, this guy’s meddling and chatter ruin all his points.

The next day.
It was still before sunrise, a quiet dawn tinged with blue light.
A time when everyone was still asleep.
There was a man running through the forest, breathing rhythmically.
Who is the one running through the forest now?
Who else could it be?
It’s me.
I’ve been running for an hour already.
I wasn’t tired and kept running.
‘I had a vague idea before.’
I looked down at my legs, which were moving steadily.
‘Bicamon, this guy’s stamina is really something.’
These legs have been running for over an hour.
Yet, they are still not giving up and can run even more.
‘Why on earth was Bicamon in the Department of Magic?’
Bicamon Niflheim, whom I possessed.
He was in the Department of Magic when he attended Jerion Academy.
Honestly, Bicamon had almost no magical talent.
Not as talentless as Nikita, though.
He had just a tiny bit of magical talent.
With such talent, he entered the Department of Magic.
Bicamon achieved almost nothing related to magic, and his grades in the Department of Magic were at the bottom.
‘The reason Bicamon liked Nikita was.’
It was a sense of kinship and admiration.
Born into a magical family but having no magic at all.
Yet, Nikita did not give up and rose to the position of vice president through effort.
Seeing her in the same situation but contrasting, Bicamon harbored feelings for Nikita.
Therefore, Bicamon persistently harassed Lucas, who was Nikita’s rival.
Lucas kept disrupting the achievements Nikita had made.
Bicamon couldn’t stand it.
But Bicamon was always outmatched and repeatedly defeated by Lucas.
Lucas, who awakened the flame of determination, had top grades even in the Department of Martial Arts.
How could Bicamon’s insignificant magic work against such a Lucas?
However, the problem was Bicamon’s stamina.
Despite not having the fighting spirit like Lucas, his stamina was inexplicably good.
Even though he was a wizard, he stood up again and again after enduring Lucas’s fierce attacks.
‘Wasn’t he called the Weeble Wobble Vickerman?’
The community often talked about how a wizard could have such good stamina.
Thus, the community evaluated Vickerman like this:
‘A character for practicing skill combos.’
A character intentionally given a lot of stamina so that beginners playing the Flame Butterfly episode for the first time could get used to the controls and experience various situations.
The problem was, who was the one who possessed such a Vickerman?
‘It’s me.’
Well, having good stamina is something, at least.
I’m good at marathons.
My legs are worth a million dollars.
‘Having good stamina is the best advantage.’
Before entering Vickerman’s body.
Although I quit due to an injury in high school, I had been exercising for quite a long time.
I remember how to move my body.
I remember how to use my eyes.
And that memory, combined with Vickerman’s stamina, was drawing out considerable efficiency.
‘Is it because this guy’s body is good?’
Honestly, the way I use my body has already reached its peak, like in my prime.
So, since I have good stamina anyway.
From the day I possessed him, I have been running every morning to improve it even more.
Isn’t there an old saying that you should first cultivate your strengths?
Stamina is national power.
I run today as well.
At that moment.
Whoosh!
I heard something swinging near my ear.
Whoosh!
A very clean and repetitive sound.
Moreover, the sound was quite heavy.
My gaze naturally followed the direction of the sound.
There stood a girl with her hair tied back.
A girl with long, dark blue hair.
She gave off a delicate feeling.
However, seeing what she held in her hand, I immediately realized that thought was a mistake.
What she held in her hand was a gigantic greatsword, as tall as she was.
And as soon as I saw it, I knew who she was.
The greatsword ironman of the first year.
Aisha Bizbel.
I don’t know who gave her that nickname.
One thing is certain, it suits her very well.
I’ve never seen anyone swing such a ridiculously large greatsword.
‘Come to think of it.’
When I was playing as Lucas.
You can only see Aisha’s morning event once.
The event occurs after getting involved in a ghost incident at the girls’ dormitory in Act 4.
When sneaking back to the dormitory in the morning, you hear the sound of something heavy being swung.
If you choose to follow the source of the sound here.
You meet Aisha training in the morning and have a brief conversation.
The problem is, this delays you a bit, and you get caught by the head maid for staying out overnight, earning dormitory penalty points.
It’s a kind of trap event.
‘Lucas had activity time restrictions.’
But now, this is reality.
You can easily go out for a morning run if you get prior permission from the duty maid.
So, I got to see an event that you would only see in Act 4.
‘It’s an event that doesn’t need much attention for now.’
I didn’t bother to talk to Aisha and kept running.
Whooosh! Bang!
Until the greatsword flew right in front of my nose and almost crushed me.
“……Damn it.”
I was horrified as I saw the greatsword that had shattered the stone-paved ground and fallen.
If it had hit me directly, forget about destruction, I would have died today.
“Uh, uh, uh, are, are you okay!?”
I heard Aisha’s startled voice in my ear.
Seeing Aisha running towards me, I quietly exhaled.
Come on, isn’t it too much to try to kill me just because I tried to skip an event?
