The World I Was Supporting Was Real - Chapter 99
99. The Yellow Dog Optimization Cliche
* * *
… … Gulp!
“Hah……!”
I nearly spat out the zero-calorie cola I was drinking. Barely managing to swallow it, I let out a short gasp.
To be drinking cola and then see a fantasy world character suddenly thinking of it… well, the feeling is quite special indeed.
[IguoguoDon: lmao what]
[IguoguoDon: How does she know cola???]
[GiveMeMoney: Reina, originally a mage who knows how to use mana, is a being who has fully accepted IguoguoDon’s ‘frank facts’ into her body.]
[GiveMeMoney: As intended by the divine will, she succeeded in obtaining ‘fertilizer’, an item of divine domain]
[GiveMeMoney: It seems that in that process, she came into contact with something related and her ability to perceive things existing in the ‘divine realm’ has been awakened.]
They were saying all sorts of plausible things but-
Basically, “I wanted to insert modern items but didn’t have a good trigger, but I used Reina in the process of inserting fertilizer so, in the future, I plan on introducing various things through her,” that’s what it comes down to , right?
The author is someone who obsesses over even the most minor world-building details, so at this point, I can understand that much without them needing to say it.
[Lee Guo-guodun: So, are we making cola now?]
[Please give me money: I am not entirely certain what exactly ‘cola’ is either,]
[Give me some money: But, just like the ‘nitrogen fertilizer’ you mentioned, if there are plain facts and mana, nothing is impossible.]
[Please give me some money: However, one thing needs to be presupposed…]
[Lee Guo Guo Dian: What is it?]
[Please give me some money: ‘God’s will’.]
[Please give me money: Just like being able to bring the divine object of ‘nitrogen fertilizer’ into this place was entirely because of God’s will,]
[Give me some money: Even if Reyna, a mere created being, succeeds in imagining ‘cola’ by God’s grace, it cannot be realized if God does not want it.]
‘Hmm… ‘
So, the plausibility is there, but I can cut it off myself if I think, ‘This ain’t it’.
I cautiously predicted the future development.
First, the flow of making cola—not bad.
Rather, from a totally-knowing-mutt’s perspective, wouldn’t it be possible to predict a rather delicious development unfolding!
Bringing things like fried chicken and cola to this other world, picking out the enjoyable parts of modern civilization as if at a buffet, and then delivering a line like ‘Ah, this is what’s called fried chicken and cola. An unbelievably delicious food and drink.’
Even as a joke, it wasn’t a groundbreaking development, but definitely a form of cliché that guaranteed dopamine.
[Lee Guo Guo Dun: Let’s make cola first lololol it seems fun]
[Lee Guo-guodun: Looks like you thought of seasoned fried chicken and powdered seasoning chicken too, it’d be good to let them taste those as well]
[Please give me some money: Understood.]
[Give me some money: Is it alright to use the ‘Divine Authority’ that you, Lee Guo-guodun, have placed the connection with?]
[Lee Guo Guo Dian: Yeah, I put it there for you to use freely]
[Give me some money: Alright]
[ Give me some money : As I always say, our world only follows the words of the one true God, Igwogwodon ]
[Give me some money: No matter what happens in the future, I will never forget that fact]
[ Igwogwodon : Okay okay ]
More importantly, if it’s moving cola, does it just *poof* into existence using some basic facts?
‘That seems like it’d get expensive in the long run though.’
I don’t know exactly how much it costs to move the cola –
but, even for the sake of the most sustainable miracle, it’s better not to just pass everything off as ‘God’s miracle’.
It meant I needed to think a little bit before making a decision.
Of course, calling it thinking is a bit much, it was much simpler than with the fertilizer.
Compared to chemical fertilizers that even I barely understood, I was more confident about saying a thing or two about food.
[ Igwogwodon : In that vein ]
[Igwogwodon: Let’s try it this way this time]
I gave him a few ideas about the general ‘transmission method’.
I’ve said enough, he’ll spin it up nicely, right?
And with that, I, drooling like a hungry mutt…finished off the remaining cola in the glass.

The day after the luncheon with Empress Eirene.
Raina immediately took a carriage to the large field managed by the Order, located not far from the Igwogwodon Grand Cathedral.
This place was originally used as a symbol of the Order’s ‘self-sufficient lifestyle’, but now, all the ingredients grown here were being used solely for relief activities.
“So you’re saying we don’t need a fallow period?”
“That’s right. You’ll spread it before planting, and then again about one or two weeks after sowing the seeds. That should be enough nutrients for the soil. It won’t make crops shoot up immediately like the stuff I gave you before , so it will require some labor… but at least, unless there’s a typhoon or something, you won’t have to worry about losing the harvest.”
“If you have any other questions or need any guidance… please feel free to ask the wood-attribute mages at our magic tower.”
Today was the day she officially introduced her newly created ‘Air Fertilizer’.
At first, she had wanted to call it ‘Improved Fertilizer’ but quickly abandoned the idea. It wasn’t really an improvement – ’God’s Fertilizer’, the first fertilizer she made, was far more potent.
However, the fact that the sheer amount of raw essence floating in the air was drastically insufficient compared to mana, and the fact that she would need to keep burning through mages, made it practically impossible to consistently supply God’s Fertilizer.
Thus, Reina developed the ‘Air Fertilizer’.
It was named ‘Air Fertilizer’ because it was made with the essence floating in the air.
A reduced-function fertilizer created by collaborating with two or three mages based on an already completed formula.
It required far less raw essence than before, and the difficulty of making it was also drastically lower – making it a product highly suitable for ‘mass production’.
In truth, this Air Fertilizer was much more befitting of the name ‘fertilizer’ than God’s Fertilizer.
God’s Fertilizer wasn’t so much a fertilizer as it was a magical artifact – or rather, an artifact from legend – that’s how impressive it was.
“Thank you for being here today. Should I send someone to the tower right away?”
“Yes. We’ve made plenty…so, whenever is convenient for you…I guess you can come by anytime…that’s what I think…”
“Understood. We’ll come see you tomorrow. May the essence of God be with you, Reina.”
After greeting the nun, Reina let out a deep sigh.
‘I’m drained…’
She used to go out herself when she first introduced ‘God’s Fertilizer’ –
but Reina, being a mage and not particularly sociable, couldn’t keep running around telling farmers how to use it.
That’s why she chose the church.
This Iggugwodun Cathedral was essentially a base camp for disseminating and supplying the air fertilizer developed at the wood-attribute mage tower to the farmers.
It was the work of spreading the pure truth of the gods, and thus both the Pope and the Saint had readily given their permission.
Anyway, is that everything I needed to do?
As Reina was heading back to the carriage, a woman’s voice called out.
“Lady Reina!”
Turning her head, she saw Luca Hevnishian, one of the holy knights, standing there.
She’d heard that three holy knights took turns guarding the cathedral.
Reina was aware of Luca’s existence. A female knight with a black ponytail and a distinctive white ribbon, they said.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you for the first time. I am Holy Knight Luca Hevnishian. I should have greeted you when you arrived… but I had a matter to attend to. I have heard much of your esteemed name.”
“It’s fine… As you may know, I’m Reina Pirenstia.”
‘…As you may know is a little rude, isn’t it…?’
As soon as she’d spoken those words, she regretted it. After a light handshake, what followed was—
“……”
“……”
—was silence.
Reina, who’d been doing her best all along, wasn’t a particularly sociable person.
Luca, among the three holy knights, was the type with the weakest self-assertion.
Neither of them could easily find the words to speak first.
Luca, who was slightly more sociable than Reina, broke the silence.
“Ah, I… well, I’ve heard a great deal about you. I heard you created amazing fertilizer… Thanks to you, relief supplies are being distributed smoothly. Our order will not forget the dedication of the wood-attribute mage tower.”
“No. It was only possible because of Igwogeodeon-nim’s blunt facts… well… I don’t think you really need to thank me…”
“Of course, I should thank you. If there’s anything I can help you with, feel free to come find me personally anytime. I’ve been granted some autonomy by the Saint. I’ll help as much as I can. Well then …”
Watching Luca, who bowed deeply and carefully backed away –
Raina let out a sigh that was half relief, half guilt.
‘I think I was too cold… ‘
Still, it wouldn’t hurt to be nice to a paladin who’s being kind to me…
Dealing with new people, I just never get used to it, no matter how many times I do it.
‘Maybe I should have sent Stella instead.’
Still, I don’t regret coming myself, since I was the one who made the fertilizer…
Truly, when it comes to dealing with people and such, Stella is much more suitable for the position of Tower Master than me.
Thinking that, I returned to the magic tower –
“Tower Master. We have a visitor.”
“A visitor?”
At Yunos’s words, who became a new earth-element magic tower mage thanks to the fertilizer expedition, I immediately headed towards the reception room –
“S… Saintess-nim?!”
Surprisingly, sitting there was Saintess Erin.
She still had her hand gently resting on top of the overly large divine power sack as she greeted Raina.
“Hehe, Raina-nim. We meet again. Please come in! I was waiting for you.”
“No, I just came from the cathedral… you really didn’t have to come all this way, you could have just summoned me.”
“Oh, no. How could I possibly order around Raina-nim who is diligently working to realize the will of God?”
Erin spoke, drawing a graceful curve at the corner of her lips.
Forcing back the near-hypnotic pull of her beauty, Reyna carefully settled into the seat opposite her.
“So, what brings you here today…?”
“I heard it from His Majesty the Emperor. You had a small luncheon with him, yes?”
“Ah, yes! That’s right. His Majesty was very gracious in his hospitality.”
“I also heard you were particularly pleased with the ‘Chicken’, the food of the gods, is that correct?”
“It is! It was really, really delicious… It’s just a fried dish, but I’ve never had anything so good! Ah, come to think of it, that was ‘the food of the gods’, wasn’t it? “I heard the recipe came from the Order.”
“As you say, chicken is the very love of God, gifted to us. Heh heh heh…”
Erin offered a subtle smile.
She hadn’t come all this way just to hear about chicken.
In fact, at this point – Reyna had a pretty good idea of why she’d come.
“Reyna-nim. During that meal, you brought up the matter of something called ‘Cola’, yes?”
“…Yes. That’s right.”
So it was about that after all.
Reyna already knew it wasn’t something that could be brushed aside, but it seemed to be coming sooner than she’d expected.
“Would it be alright if I asked you what that is?”
“Actually… I don’t know what it is either.”
“You don’t know?”
“No. It just… came to me when I was eating the chicken. Chicken slathered in red sauce, chicken with a strange powder in the batter, and then cola… would it be fair to say it was like a divine revelation… ?”
Erin’s pupils widened slightly at Reyna’s words.
“This is the first time I’ve heard about chicken with seasoning and chicken with powder…?”
“Ah… that’s right! It came to me all of a sudden. But honestly, just like with cola, I don’t really know exactly what it is either.”
“I see…”
It was somewhat absurd, but Erin listened to her words with a very serious expression.
And then—she carefully placed the bundle next to her on the desk.
“What is this…?”
“It’s holy water.”
Erin easily untied the bundle.
What emerged was a glass bottle filled with clear water.
“It’s spring water drawn from the well of the Iguoguodeon Cathedral, after prayers, infused with the love of God.”
*’So, isn’t it just water?’* She wanted to ask, but somehow Reina suppressed the urge.
“Actually, the reason I came here is because I heard the word of God.”
“The word of God…?”
“Reina-nim. Would you examine this holy water closely? I believe that Reina-nim, you will understand what I mean.”
No matter how much she thought about it, it was just water, but Reina couldn’t ignore the Saint’s words, so she carefully picked up the bottle.
And as she looked at it—
‘… Huh?’
“How is it? Reina-nim, who has opened her eyes to ‘undeniable facts’… I believe you’ll know, God said.”
Just as Erin said—
The moment Reina picked it up, she was overcome with a feeling that was difficult to describe.
Something.
Something, by applying a plain fact to this ‘holy water’…
A strong conviction that she could birth something even she doesn’t know.
‘… Shall I try it?’
Rayna closed her eyes.
Among the man floating in the air, a distinctly present unknown force – gathering the plain facts, she ‘applies’ the images she experienced directly to the holy water.
Quite a large amount of plain facts were needed—but as Erin said, if it was God’s will, she thought it was right to follow that will now, and used the facts without hesitation.
“This is…!”
At the tip of the clear, transparent holy water, something emitted an intense light, and at the same time, what came into Rayna’s sight was——
‘!!!!!’
——She realizes.
That she is now glimpsing into the ‘realm of God’.
And, the ‘world’ she’s glimpsing at… was a dark brown world, with small bubbles rising.
