4. Tina
Tina Erabasta has lived a bit of an unhappy life since she was born. Her mother, who gave birth to her, suddenly had a seizure, and since she collapsed, she panicked and ran away whenever she saw her. For some reason, she had never seen her mother’s face in detail, as she had a seizure the moment she met her, even if by chance, and then collapsed.
Tina wondered if her mother had some kind of disease, so she made up a reason to convince herself. She seemed so sad if she didn’t.
But despite her efforts, the moment her own little brother was born, Tina couldn’t help but resent her mother. It is because her younger brother, who was born late, grew up in her mother’s arms and received plenty of love from her.
When her mother had a seizure, her father took care of her instead of her mother, but she was stopped immediately by her mother’s madness at the sight of her. She did not see or spend time with her children ever since, avoiding her mother’s eyes… But she did not like being treated like her illegitimate son.
Tina was smart. She knew right away that she would not be loved, and she groomed herself so that she could live outside her family.
As she grows up, she fears that she will not be able to marry because of her increasingly ferocious appearance, so she accumulates her knowledge so that she can survive alone. She looked at her books randomly in the library and piled them up one by one. She was helped through her father in case of her knowledge needing expert help.
She learned martial arts and magic so that she could at least protect herself in a harsh world. Unfortunately, her martial arts are not talented enough to move her body, so she is limited to self-defense, but her magic is different. Most of the knowledge she learned to use her magic was already in Tina’s head. Her magical powers could be accumulated by any living human being.
Her magic was knowledge that Tina was grateful for. Although she couldn’t hold much magical power in her body, she couldn’t use high-level magic, but her lower-levels were different. She learned and relearned her formulas and knowledge of her magic, refining it over and over again to create magic for herself.
After learning her knowledge and magic, she began to fill in the missing parts of herself. If she had to live as an aristocrat, she had to learn culture and social knowledge.
Ignoring her mother in her seizures, understanding her father, who because of her mother left him behind her, she took the love she deserved to her. Envying her brother, Tina found her way alone.
She
She has never been loved, so she doesn’t know how to churn her stomach, so she’s blunt. She has been ferocious since she was born, her face has never even smiled, she has always been the same. She learned to socialize, but because she had no interaction with people, she accumulated minor misunderstandings.
She listened to her one day, and she herself became the greatest villain in the empire.
Her attempts to get away from herself, such as misunderstanding, contempt, and neglect, were already familiar. Tina has given up her life as a noblewoman.
Since she was born, she has lived as if she had been abandoned and has been working hard to find her way to live alone. If she had not received her marriage proposal from her father, she would have left the family that night and become an adventurer.
Tina has lived a less fortunate life than most of her.
Froden Excellent Young master. The only heir to the Duke’s throne in the Empire. Rare genius. Until she meets a man with a brilliant background, such as a pioneer in magic engineering, who has lived a life opposite to hers.
When her mother told her that she was getting married, she was delighted. To her delight that she could legally clear the face of her child, which she hated, she readily agreed. Her father looked both saddened and relieved at the sight. Maybe it’s because I think about myself.
Tina prepared to visit with her family, the only ones who work for her. Her father, Earl of Erabasta, also began preparing to visit her duchy. Tina felt her excitement at her first outing with her father.
Until my mother interrupted.

My mother had a seizure when she heard that my father was also going. Even though he knew that he was doing it on purpose, the Count, who could not neglect it, eventually turned his steps toward the Duke’s family. At that point, Tina realized she had her options made.
“Father, I will go to the duchy alone.”
“What do you mean by going alone? Do you know how rude it is for a woman to go alone to the duke’s house?”
“Please write me a letter. Father will explain that he hastily left the territory as an excuse for the overflow of monsters in the territory. Wouldn’t it be even more disrespectful to break the promise with the duchy for such a ridiculous reason?”
The Count shut his mouth. It was because she was so unfamiliar with Tina, who was always blunt and timid, trying to convince her. However, the Count did not blame Tina.
“Yes. Then, do you want to do that?”
The Count chose actions instead of words. After scrawling a letter with an impromptu excuse and entrusting it to Tina, the Count and Tina set off in opposite directions.
‘I hope the marriage will be done properly…’
Tina was also a woman. When she got tired of exploring her knowledge alone, she also read novels. She is sometimes an adventure, sometimes a hero, and sometimes a romance. She had no human contact, and she had developed her fantasies about her love life alone. Although she was futile after all.
Tina felt that this was her last chance. Thinking that there should be no mistakes, she ran dozens or hundreds of conversation simulations in her head.
When she arrived at the duke’s house through the warp device, Tina felt unprecedented tension.
“Are you sure the lady of Countess Erabasta is Tina Erabasta?”
Clean clothes and upright but dignified body movements. An old man with a handsome beard of hers approached Tina wearing her monocle.
“Yes, that is correct. It’s an honor to meet you at the duke’s house.”
I spoke to someone I was seeing for the first time without trembling. That alone made Tina feel better. She has a good start.
“Since the ducal family sent an invitation, it is natural to take responsibility for it. I will guide you.”
The head of the butler bowed his head and finished the greeting, then turned around and went ahead. The family members she came with and Tina, who moved in as the duke, couldn’t contain her admiration. Her size and splendor, compared to anything else, it was a place that was on a different level from that of the Countess.
“My lady, ducal families are different as expected.”
“It’s the only one in the empire, so it’s awful.”
Her maid, Emily, who had been her only friend since childhood, whispered. Tina nodded her head and whispered the same. While the two of them were looking around the duke’s house in awe, the butler approached and showed them where the family members were staying.
She was forced to part with everyone, and Tina felt a sudden surge of tension in her. The pressure of her having to face it alone now weighed on her shoulders.
“The Duke and Young master are open-minded people. If Lady Erabasta approaches you openly and honestly, then both of you will rather like it.”
The butler didn’t look back and muttered as if talking to himself. Tina, who was nervous under her pressure, looked at him in surprise at the words. The butler was waiting in front of the antique door without knocking. Sensing his consideration, Tina bowed her head slightly to show her appreciation.
-Smart
“A guest has come from the Count’s family. She is the daughter of the count’s family, as promised.”
“Oh, I see you have arrived. Drop by.”
The dignified voice of the duke was heard and soon the door opened. Tina was nervous at the sight of two identical people sitting on the couch staring at her, but she was not intimidated anymore. You have to pour yourself out without hiding it and without regret.
…I want to get out of that hell and live my life.
Tina followed her boss into the house, lightly grabbed the edge of her skirt, and greeted her.
“Nice to meet you, Duke. My name is Tina, the daughter of Count Erabasta. I am sorry to greet you like this from the office.”
She started a battle on her own, unknown to anyone.
In conclusion, the battle was a great victory. Of course, when Gongja reached out for an escort in the middle, it was a mistake to refuse because he was embarrassed to hold a man’s hand.
However, thanks to the knowledge accumulated so far, I was able to continue the conversation by answering everything the duke said. When we had a brief tea time after the meal, she almost burst into tears.
“But. I felt that the young lady’s words, actions, and all elements were directly contradicting the rumors herself. The effort to deny it was revealed by showing it directly rather than denying it with words. How could such a person be the same person as the rumored young lady? I will believe in what I have seen and felt about the young lady.”
Those warm words were sweeter and stronger than any other words to Tina, who had been living fiercely alone until now. It felt like it was coming from the heart, not from her lips.
I wanted to shout at Young master’ request to get married right away, but I held back. I needed to step back for a while here. If he got married right away, he could have escaped immediately, but later, when his feelings subsided, he did not know how Young master would change.
In order to prevent that, it was necessary to build a bond and feelings with Young master. So that this emotion can last even a little longer. No, those are all excuses and Tina herself wanted to do that.
She wanted to live with this ball for a long time. As she walks beside him
“With that in mind, first of all, I would like to apply for an engagement with Gongja-nim. Why don’t we build a relationship step by step, starting with the engagement?”
I said marriage is difficult right away, but I didn’t say I wouldn’t. Tina had no intention of doing such a stupid thing as just putting it off.
It is necessary to see her as she is and to show her a proper appearance to him who wants her confident appearance. I wish he would like me more.
As much as I’m into him now.
It was lovely to see him staring blankly at himself. I don’t know why. How can you feel such deep feelings for someone you haven’t met in less than a day? Feeling happy for the first time, he unknowingly raised the corner of his mouth.
“Young master. Please marry me.”
Now I have set my course. I want to keep the happiness I found.
I want to live my whole life with this Young master.
