Episode 100. The End of the Chinese Civil War
Western Front.
This is a situation where rebels demanding Tibetan independence have taken over several key areas, but Chinese troops still remain in many places.
In fact, it could be said that the Chinese military had the upper hand, but the question was who controlled them.
Although it was nominally under the control of the People’s Republic of China, it was inaccessible to the Eastern Theater Command, which was the direct descendant of the People’s Republic of China, without going through another country.
Of course, in modern society it may not be of great importance, but the point is that both the People’s Republic of Hong Kong and the Socialist Republic of China claimed sovereignty.
So, although no actual military conflict has occurred yet, it remains an area of military conflict internationally.
Except for the Western Front, all remaining regions claimed independence.
Each Hong Kong government is called the People’s Republic of Liberal Hongkong.
The Beijing government is the Socialist Republic of China.
The Shenyang government put forward the name of the country as the Republic of Manchuria.
As was the case with the People’s Republic of China, each country imbued its national colors into its own name.
The Hong Kong government, in an attempt to cooperate with the liberal camp, took the symbols of Hong Kong and freedom and gave it the ridiculous name of the People’s Republic of Hong Kong.
After much deliberation, they decided not to join the Korean Peninsula Asian Union, which the Beijing and Shenyang governments were joining. They originally wanted to take advantage of Hong Kong’s extensive exchanges with Western countries.
The Socialist Republic of China further emphasized its legitimacy as a communist state, while Manchukuo admitted that it had no foundation from the beginning and even removed the word “people” from its name, even though the Communist Party ruled the country.
For convenience, these countries were called Hong Kong, North China, New China, and Manchukuo, respectively, within Korea.

Seoul. Gangnam COEX.
Asian Union Summit.
Originally, the English name used the term Asian Union without the name Korean Peninsula, but now the name Korean Peninsula has been completely erased from the Korean name as well.
The summit was attended by many countries from around the world, including all Asian Union countries, with the exception of the newly joined North China and Manchukuo, as well as invited countries such as Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Southeast Asian countries, and Mexico.
The reason so many invited countries agreed to participate was naturally because three out of the four Chinese countries participated.
Although Hong Kong has not joined the Asian Union, it has actively participated in the invitation as it has made efforts to normalize the country through economic growth.
The summit began amid expectations from the world and the people of the Republic of Korea that the economy would return to normal.
Summit conference room.
President Kang Moo-jin, who chairs the summit, began his opening remarks.
“Today we gather to discuss the future of the world economy, climate change, and sustainable development.”
Each country is actively discussing economic cooperation.
Manchukuo’s Chairman Wang Chen brought up a topic.
“The biggest obstacle to economic normalization right now is actually the People’s Republic of China.”
Everyone sympathized with his straightforward remarks, but their expressions showed that they could not bring themselves to say it.
“Since China’s economy was so intricately intertwined in the past, wouldn’t it be possible for the system to be restored only if everyone cooperates with each other?”
At that moment, Li Changjun, who had been watching with an arrogant expression, opened his mouth.
He seemed to be attending the meeting with a very stiff attitude, perhaps knowing that even if China were to be divided, it would not fall behind the world’s advanced countries.
“Well said. The People’s Republic of China is illegally seizing all of our companies’ assets. They are using the illegally occupied properties as they please, so it would be right for each country to take appropriate measures.”
Large Chinese companies that are headquartered in local areas, not Beijing, often have their actual business bases in those areas as well. This is because the fact that their headquarters are located in local areas is often for the purpose of linking with their main business.
However, of course, many large corporations had their headquarters in Beijing, and they naturally became part of the Socialist Republic of China, but the People’s Republic of China completely confiscated their local assets.
Li Changjun was naturally angry at this. He also took retaliatory measures, but Beijing was the administrative center, and the actual industrial system and logistics were concentrated in other regions outside the central theater, so the effect was minimal.
Given these negative feelings between the two sides, it was inevitable that this would lead to military tensions.
“That’s right. To this end, not only the participating countries here but also all countries in the world must continue to call for international cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.”
Wang Chen came forward to speak on behalf of this.
Those representing the three Chinas pledged to continue close internal exchanges to normalize the world economy.
It was regrettable that Shanghai and its surrounding areas, known as the economic center of China, did not participate, but it could also be seen as a great achievement that Hong Kong, Shandong, and Beijing were able to join again.
Afterwards, the summit hosted by South Korea ended successfully and General Secretary Kim Chol-ryong and President Kang Mu-jin had a private meeting.
“As President Kang has seen, the Chinese are not stubborn. In order to solidify our position within the alliance, it is clear that the North and the South must join forces as one.”
Although the words North and South were slightly irritating, President Kang Moo-jin answered without showing it.
Other than that, he could relate to it quite well.
“It certainly seemed that the attitude of the people of Northern China and Manchukuo was not very docile. It was as if they had come to their own home.”
“Still, the diplomatic achievements that our Asian Union has made this time are beyond words. Thank you. President Kang has made a very big decision this time.”
President Kang Moo-jin resumed the Android business despite political interference from the United States.
Moreover, since cooperation with North Korea was actually strengthening, it was like declaring that they would not listen to the United States.
“I did what you wanted, but it looks like you’ll have a hard time at the end of your term.”
President Kang Moo-jin groaned. With not much time left in his term, the fact that he was not able to coordinate his opinions with the political circles, regardless of whether they were ruling or opposition parties, meant that his policies might not be transferred to the next administration.
“Isn’t the will of the people important? There’s no need to respond to each and every instigation and fabrication by opportunists.”
If it were as easy as it sounds, he wouldn’t have to worry.
This might be possible in North Korea, where the head of state still holds absolute power.
“That might be possible in North Korea, but it’s not possible in our Republic of Korea.”
“Haha! That’s not necessarily true. I’m just a pawn. I don’t want to be a pawn, but I think it would be good if I could be a gentleman.”
Kim Cheol-ryeong laughed off the remark that seemed to target him as a dictator.
That means the distance between them has become closer.
“I see? Then who is Jang?”
President Kang Moo-jin asked, puzzled by Kim Cheol-ryeong’s analogy.
“Hmm… I guess he’s not just a human.”
Perhaps he is not even worthy of being compared to a chess piece. Rather, he would be better called a knight.
For a moment, President Kang Moo-jin wondered if Kim Cheol-ryeong had converted to religion, but he did not ask for the details because he thought it would be rude to ask.
“Haha, if General Secretary Kim says so, then I would be like an elephant or a horse?”
When President Kang Moo-jin asked with a smile, Kim Cheol-ryeong looked back and smiled.
Kim Cheol-ryeong didn’t answer, but thought to himself.
‘Wrong. President Kang is a pawn, a pawn who has never seen Jang’s face in his entire life and has no need to see it. Perhaps that is the difference between President Kang and me.’

“This time, I think selling military weapons could be quite effective.”
Jungwoo said.
This is what I was saying when I saw the current confrontation between North China and China. I also think that this kind of situation could happen across the world between the US and the Asian Union.
[In the current situation, it seems possible to achieve what you want. However, from a long-term perspective, I would say it is difficult to say that it is efficient.]
“Hmm, then let’s start by selling the nuclear interception system I bought last time.”
The nuclear interception system is a defensive weapon system that Sarah purchased separately using points in case nuclear weapons were to hit the Korean Peninsula due to the Chinese civil war.
100% defense rate against all ICBM-type nuclear weapons in existence today.
There is no longer a need for them as sufficient quantities have already been installed within North Korea.
This defensive weapon system, which covers a range that even exceeds the entire Korean Peninsula, has not been made public yet, but it seems that it will be able to achieve fairly good sales results even if only based on demand within China.
“And instead of buying weapons, I’ll buy the AI chip I mentioned last time.”
[All right.]
It was a concept that was discussed before Android was created, with the intention of having AI built into the device itself.
We plan to first try to mount this on military weapons, although we will of course use it in various ways later.
There have often been cases where Androids were not used as replacements for people due to situations where people wanted to use them effectively, legal regulations regarding Androids, social norms, or ethical aspects.
For example, it was the case with fighter planes.
In the case of fighter jets, pilots who were previously trained are still active.
If you replace it with an android, it is obvious that it is better than a human, but in fact, it does not have such a noticeable effect. In the end, the performance of a fighter jet is prioritized over that of a fighter jet.
But what about the infantry branch? The infantry’s ability itself is the subject of comparison, so it shows greater efficiency in place of humans.
So, it seems that the commanders did not show any intention to use android pilots in large numbers instead of normal pilots.
Even if it’s an Android that costs 100 million won.
Even if it is destroyed when deployed as infantry, the cost of repair and replacement is very cheap, so there is absolutely no reason to hesitate.
Rather, it is a level that should be recommended.
“So if we compete with cheaper AI chips, we will be quite competitive.”
It was the so-called cost-effectiveness issue.
“There are also applications where AI chips will definitely be used.”
It was the acquisition of shares in Daehyun Automobile Group.
Although Jungwoo himself was so rich that he couldn’t really feel it, the world economy really was in a state of flux.
In the case of creating something from nothing like Android, there would be no impact at all, but automobiles import raw materials from all over the world, are manufactured in multiple factories overseas, and are sold.
There is no need to explain how big a blow it would be if that route were blocked, as the Chinese market had contributed enormously there.
To overcome this, Daehyun Motors endured through large-scale workforce reductions, cost-cutting, and supply chain optimization.
The civil war did not last as long as expected, so most of the world’s major corporations were able to withstand it.
But in the meantime, Jungwoo acquired Daehyun’s shares.
And now they too were aware of it.
